    The main themes:
    The victim becomes the aggressor.
The real enemy is co-dependency. 😂
Also, now we know why Armin is the narrator for the recaps and the previews; he's telling their story in the hopes that future people can learn from their lessons.

All I can say is find the first chapter of the manga. Get to the panel where we first see Eren and Mikasa. In the anime’s first episode he sees a dream with quick flashes to events to come. But in the manga, the original, it’s Mikasa leaning down to him saying “I’ll see you later, Eren.”…
Which is of course what we see in the anime right after she beheads him.
From chapter one, he had it sorted.
    Best show of all time.

So, i will do my part and try and explain to you what you didnt seem to understand, « the last 5 minutes were very confusing part ».
So basically, as soon as eren died, we are seeing the flashback of the memories of his talk with armin before he was dead. He explained to him what he did, and why he did it, especially his guilt towards humanity and his mom (as you can see he litteraly killed his own mother by sending dina titan form towards his house, to fuel his anger, and make sure his younger self would follow and take the necessary actions for this timeline to exist).
The memory being portrayed through the child form all the way to adult form is simply a way to tell the watchers that eren’s plan was planned very long ago.
As for mikasa’s action, eren said that he was going foward to reach it no matter what. What mikasa did is that she didnt have the same behavior as ymir, she actually stood up to eren and killed him, what ymir couldnt do back then to king fritz. Killing eren also meant ending her 2000 years of suffering all alone.
In the final episode, eren said ymir loved king fritz, and if you rewatch episode 21, in ymir backstory, you will notice that she protected king fritz out of love, taking the spear for him. All she wanted in that moment was for king fritz to show concern and make sure she wouldnt die. But he showed none of that. Instead, he simply told her to get back up, calling her a slave once again. After hearing that, she had enough and decided to die, in hopes that she would be freed from this slavery. But instead, she got trapped in the path, and was forced to obey him for all 2000 years, until someone appeared to do something that she couldn’t, Mikasa.

Did you understand the time concept in the Brothers episode? Zeke and Eren were in the simulation of the past, and essentially, they cannot interact with whatever is in it. These are all events that have passed. However, we get the impression that Grisha is able to see and interact with Zeke and Eren but the reality is that Eren is sending his memories of being able to see Grisha in the simulation to Grisha in the past. So Grisha can see everything from Eren's POV. You'll notice that from all the times Grisha sees Zeke, it's when Eren is directly in line with him. So he's seeing himself and Zeke from Eren's perspective. He is seeing everything in two perspectives at real time. When Eren was staring directly at Grisha during the basement key scene at their cabin, he was seeing his own face, which is why he looked so distraught and disturbed. This also means that he saw the whole altercation with Freida Reiss in the cavern both from his perspective and Eren's. He was able to interact with Eren because he received memories of Eren speaking to Grisha so it's kind of like a Bluetooth connection 😭. And when Grisha 'hugged' Zeke he was simply hugging the empty space at which Zeke was standing at, so if someone were to actually look at Grisha it would look like he was hugging thin air. You'll also notice that Eren was standing right behind him, further proving this. Also something else that's crazy is how Eren receives future memories of himself because Eren deeper in the future would have sent memories to Grisha which would not have occurred during the time of when Zeke and Eren were in the simulation. But Eren got to see all his memories up to his own death when he kissed Historia's hand. Grisha was a vessel to transfer his Eren's memories between himself in 2 time periods. Now a question you may ask is why Grisha still followed Eren's instructions even when he pleaded for Zeke to stop Eren. Perhaps its the factor of determinism as you suggest, or maybe an anomaly would occur in the space-time continuum. Who knows?

    • @Killerepent
      @Killerepent หลายเดือนก่อน +8

Grisha changed his mind about stopping Eren when he found out about Carla's death. That's another reason why Eren had to make sure Carla died, because that was the only way to get Grisha to change his mind and support Eren's plan. The logical side of Grisha's brain knew that the rumbling was horrifying and needed to be stopped, but the emotional side of his brain wanted vengeance for Carla, and that side was the one in control during the last few moments of his life.

The reason ymir was freed by Mikasa was because Mikasa was able to kill the person she loved (Eren) while ymir kept obeying king Fritz even after she sacrificed her life for him. Thats why when she looks at mikasa holding erens Head she envisions a reality in which she didnt die for Fritz, but actually embraced her children

Fun fact: in season 1, you see Mikasa stumble upon and looking at a praying mantis for a few frames. Something known for beheading their mate 🙃
The preying mantis symbolism is also in the second ending song. You see Mikasa standing infront of a preying mantis eating a butterfly. A butterfly stands for metamorphosis, which Eren undergoes through the series.

My analysis, specifically on 4x13 and just how well the episode illustrates the concept of ‘the cycle of hatred’ through the use allegory and metaphor.
The knife itself represents the ‘knife’ that’s passed around in the cycle of hatred. It’s something you CHOOSE to pick up and is also something that you can make the choice to put down. Sasha chose to shoot the Marleyan soldiers as retaliation for Paradis. In turn, Gabi picked up the rifle to avenge her home and killed Sasha. Out of grief over losing Sasha, Niccolo picks up the knife to exact revenge on Gabi and offers it to Mr. Blaus. However, Sasha’s father doesn’t *want* to continue the cycle of hatred so when the knife came into his hands, his wisdom helps him make the deliberate choice to put it down.
The entire episode shows that the cycle of hatred is something that is spurred on by choice. If an adult makes the decision to put the knife down and break the cycle, communication and peace, however slim, becomes a possibility. In a way Eren’s “If you don’t fight, you can’t win” and Armin’s “Those who can’t sacrifice anything, can’t change anything” philosophies both apply here. As long as someone at the very least tries, however futile or minuscule the effort may seem, the chance for a changed outcome will continue to stand. But, if neither side can step forward and make the first attempt at communication, at diplomacy and open dialogue - the possibility for peace will remain exactly as it is: nonexistent. Similarly, those who can’t bring themselves to sacrifice their pride, self interests, personal vengeance and grievances, ambitions, etc. and put down the knife won’t ever have a chance at ending the perpetual cycle either.
That last scene with Kaya shows the importance of ‘keeping the kids out of the forest’ because you are shown firsthand just how easily children are pulled into the cycle of violence and how easily a cycle that is broken, can be kicked off again. The knife that was finally put down, is immediately picked up again in an act of violence because a child has a much easier time understanding her hurt feelings from her loss, over the consequences of her actions.
That’s why it’s the responsibility of adults to make sure children won’t have to find themselves in situations where they feel as though they need to pick up a knife, and to teach them that even if they are presented with one, picking it up would be a fruitless endeavor that ultimately does more harm than good.
Some great connections other commenters made in response to my bit:
“This also ties in with Eren and Mikasa's first act of violence being them grabbing knives to kill those men who kidnapped Mikasa”
"’All I wanted to do was save your life; I never wanted to grab a knife... I SWEAR!’"
“This is well put and you are right. Peace can be an option if certain individuals break the wheel and put down the knife first. The only issue is it requires others to realise and appreciate you putting the knife down and then joining you. Often this doesn't happen and they still try to pick the knife up again after you only this time you are knifeless. Ideologically it's great if everyone puts the knife down, but in reality it so rarely ever happens which is the whole point of aot, it describes exactly this concept of wheel of hatred flawlessly.”
Last note from me - It’s also a callback to the first time Kenny and Uri met. Kenny threw the knife expecting Uri to retaliate since he has the power to easily do so but is shocked when Uri instead lays the knife aside and begs for forgiveness, acknowledging his incompetence as a king and genuinely sympathizing with the persecution the Ackermans had suffered for years due to the royal family. That peaceful display of vulnerability, empathy, and communication is what allowed such an unusual, but beautiful friendship to form. It’s exactly as Uri suggested when he and Kenny were reflecting on their first meeting:
“When we were at each others throats…what was it that brought us together as friends? Was it violence?”.
Such a simple, but poignant and introspect provoking query. One of my favorites lines in the entire show.
    Thanks for reading!

Freedom is definitely the biggest theme of the show as you kept mentioning- and the characters are all different representations of that, and things that tie one down from it. The show definitely has a stance that freedom isn't necessarily about external circumstances at all, but based on the person experience their life itself. The Scouts in general represent those that are fighting for freedom, and I think Armin has been the show's representation of the freest of them all which is why he's the narrator in episode 1 and the leader of the scouts at the end. All of the struggles different characters experience were representations of pitfalls people have in life in the route towards freedom. The best way to understand them is to look at what they all fought for, and what they loved/feared.
Eren was a slave to the idea of freedom and lacked flexibility and perspective since he just kept moving forward (though on the flip side, was the most perceptive person with seeing what propels people forward in life based off of what they love).
Mikasa was a slave to her love for Eren which she was fighting for constantly, and had to learn to let go of that love to truly be free (probably what inspired Ymir to move on also since she was also a slave to her love)
Jean had a love for comfort in life but over the series, learned that some things in life is worth fight for
Connie fought for approval from family and wanted to be a "Good Soildier" (a dangerous attachment, which is why Armin constantly mentions how he hates the word "good"), and learned probably after the "traitor" episode that good/bad is more nuanced than that, and became a lot more free to take action afterwards.
The list goes on with all the titan shifters, especially with all the titan shifters! The show was based a LOT on Norse mythology (alongside other philosophies and such), but you can see what the personality traits/perspective of the nine titan shifters by looking up The Aesirian Code of Nine which I believe they're all loosely based on. I could go on how so many things about the show but there's no end because of how great it is
Because its the greatest show of all time, I feel like one could spend almost a lifetime dissecting things/themes in it because of how nuanced things are. But we could all agree that Isayama was just GOATed! Loved revisiting the journey with you, thanks for sharing your appreciation for the show with us! Stay awesome

Einstein has said time exists so everything doesnt happen all at once. Most people have a hard time processing their past, dealing with the present and fear the future. For Eren, everything was happening all at once (my thinking and interpretation), a human cant process all that. It is far to much to handle. Since time didnt exist for him, it was all happening at the same time. Remember when he was apologizing to Ramzi (little thief boy that stole money), and the show was showing the apology and him getting rumbled at the same time? That is how it was for Eren. He is apologizing to him, while killing him.

I feel like the ending really is not as complicated as people like to say it is, you can quite literally take it as face value. Eren is just the same kid throwing a temper tantrum, but that tantrum was enough to destroy the world. Eren from the start has always been about freedom, he has had that dream of seeing the unoccupied empty outside world that he had seen in Armin's book, and since he actually had the power to enact his will, he did, and annihilated humanity in the process. This only happened because Eren was the one who received this power, unluckily for the rest of the world. He says in the Final Chapters part 1, that he wanted this, despite knowing how terrible it is. Erens goal of personal freedom and protecting his friends were more or less aligned until season 4, which is where he makes the decision to pursue his freedom at the cost of endangering his friends, in other words, he had his own selfish motivations just like Reiner, a warrior that was saving the world but he really just wanted to be a hero and have people's respect. This is the double meaning of Eren and Reiner's conversion in Declaration of War.
In their last memory together, Armin is comforting his best friend and takes some of the blame for the Rumbling so that Eren doesn't have to be burdened with it alone, and Mikasa and Eren had 4 years in the Paths together (which is what you see in the flashback with them at the log cabin).
The whole montage at the end was just showing the cycles of conflict humanity finds itself in, its likely these events have nothing to do with the Rumbling and take place several hundred years in the future, eventually ending to some nuclear war which just wipes out the island. A boy finds the same tree of life that Ymir found when she became a Titan, but notice that Ymir fled into this tree out of fear and while being pursued by wolves, whereas this boy approaches the tree out of curiosity with his dog companion, implying that the cycle is broken.

rewatch the end credits, with that person in the future and that tree that is clearly where Eren's grave is and it has as hole in it just like the one where ymir fell. This doesn't mean the story will repeat itself thought because the reason titans were created was because Ymir felt oppressed and wanted to kill those who were hunting her and that's why that power manifested itself in the form of the titans so if that future person falls there and the glowing thingy is there it will mean the future will depend on that persons fears and desires at the moment of contact

He's seeing his best friend for the last time in a state of absolute despair and guilt and decides to help him one last time by bearing the weight of all his actions (killing 80% of humanity) with him while also providing him with the peace of mind that they will see each other again in the afterlife.

My interpretation of how Mikasa helped end the power of the Titans: Ymir was essentially duty bound to King Fritz as a product of her love for him, despite him being her abuser. She grew up this way and never knew any different. King Fritz basically ordered her to continue reproducing and spreading the power of Titans and the Eldian Empire, or something along those lines. Deep down it seems she was looking for someone (Mikasa) to show her a different path then what she knew. Mikasa and Eren’s relationship definitely differed from Ymir and King Fritz’s, but in a way, I saw Eren turning into Mikasa’s abuser (and it’s almost like he didn’t know why he had to become that), Eren never really showing her his feelings for her, and Mikasa being unquestionably devoted to him like Ymir was to King Fritz. Mikasa, almost as a true act of love, makes the decision to end Eren’s life and the horrific acts he was committing, showing Ymir that she could have done the same to King Fritz. Seeing this, Ymir felt a connection to Mikasa and it was as though the act of killing Eren made her feel she could finally put her soul to rest. That’s my interpretation! Curious to read/hear about others.
I wish I was as good at expressing how amazing this show is to friends who don’t feel as passionately about it. Some people don’t have the patience/desire to delve deeply and this show certainly requires and deserves a deep level of attention and thought and contemplation.
It would be dope if you made a video afterward discussing your interpretation of the ending after you’ve had some time to process and contemplate.
    Cheers!

I hope you make a comprehensive video essay about this show, I’d love to see your whole perspective on it. I know you’re a writer so it would definitely be cool to watch. I would definitely recommend watching some videos about the finale though because they helped me understand it in a complete new light. Ymir’s connection to Mikasa has everything to do with toxic love. In her flashbacks, it’s hinted that she was always infatuated by King Fritz despite how awful he was. When she jumped in front of the Spear, it was genuinely to save his life, not because she wanted an escape from slavery. It’s the definition of a toxic relationship, and the reason she was always watching Mikasa is because she always loved Eren. But unlike Ymir, in the end she was able to acknowledge her love for him, while still doing what was right. She killed him, ended the rumbling. Ymir was finally able to move on from her toxic love. When Mikasa is seen living her ideal life with Eren, that’s happening because of the paths. Thats the memory that Eren awakened in her after she died. It’s the life he wanted to live, in the ideal world where they were honest about their feelings that night in Marley. But because the past and future is already determined by the attack titan, it didn’t happen. And of course, that was the same exact night that he left all of them. When he kissed Historia’s hand, he saw everything. The past and the future. It’s like he was thrown into a trap where there was nothing he could do, it was all determined. It’s his fault, it was his actions, but it already happened. He mentions that when he’s talking to Armin, how he tried everything to change the outcome, but he couldn’t. I believe that’s why he calls himself an idiot who got blessed with too much power. He’s quite literally a slave to his own freedom, his choices were already determined. Everything that happened in season 1 was determined by him, including the death of his mother that would send him on this path. A lot of people hate the fact that he breaks down and acts childish in front of Armin, but to me that’s one of the most important scenes of the whole episode. Eren is stuck in this paradoxical trap but ultimately he’s just a kid. When his persona his down, he just cries, he talks about love like a child would. His mission from the first episode was to wipe out all the titans, and in the end he achieved that. But after he’s gone and the credits roll, we see through potentially hundreds of thousands of years of civilization, the cycle of war and violence just continues anyway. And then somebody knew discovers the Titan tree again. Does it even mean the titans could come back? Who knows. Would the era of titans even be an evil one? That’s up to interpretation. Either way, I think the ending is a realistic snapshot of human behavior, violence and greed is in our nature no matter what changes are made.

Hello crack! I have rewatched the entire series with you haha seeing your reactions. If you later see it again because you show it to someone or to review it... etc., you will be amazed by the number of clues that Isayama has been giving us throughout the story since Season 1.
For me the final chapter was a brutal experience. The outcome of the story, the action, the crazy animation, the work of the voice actors, how they print the corresponding emotion in each moment, the closure of each of the characters, the messages that the work and the band give us sound that surrounds everything, makes it something masterful.
For me it was impossible to contain my tears throughout the 3 episodes. I don't know how many times I cried... because of the excitement of the action, because of sadness, because of injustices... for moments when I thought they were not going to be able to stop Eren, for the moment when I realized that Jean and Connie were going to become titans, because of Mikasa's decision to end up with Eren, because of Levi's farewell to the explorers, because of Sasha.....!
It was a crazy ending and to date I can tell you that no series or movie has stirred my emotions as much as this one, it was something unforgettable.
I thank you for sharing all your reactions and opinions, it has been a pleasure to relive the whole story again.

I think that most plot points have already been properly explained by others but I want to clarify a little more of Eren's time related abilities:
Eren has two abilities in regards to time. The attack titan's "Future memory inheritance", which is sending back memories to previous inheritors, as well as the founding titan's "Clairvoyance", which is the ability to directly influence things in the past, although only to preserve history the way it's already played out.
Keeping this in mind we can conclude that sending memories back in time (like Eren did to influence Grisha for example) is inherently an Attack Titan power. This power can change history instead of only preserving it. The coordinate's Clairvoyance power has nothing to do with sending back memories but rather with directly influencing the past (when Eren made the Dina-titan ignore Bertolt for example). This power can not actually change history however, it can only preserve it.
To make a little more sense of the whole "preserving history"-thing:
The past, present, and future exist simultaneously for the founding titan. This means that it's inheritor can't actually "change" anything because everything has already happened if that makes sense.
I guess you could say that your "determinism"-theory applies to the founding titan but no one else.

Nihilism vs determination is literally the whole theme of this anime.
determination are portrayed by the scouts, their goal was to explore the outside world
and nihilism is seen throughout the entire series where we see the church or cults people refusing to open the gates and demanding all the humanity keep living inside the walls having knowledge about the outside world is also a crime punishable by death. this shows that they accept themselves as a titan's breakfast
eren are in between, he was determined to free the world from titan then went to literally having no hope in humanity. this was the timelines he choose, he choose to kill his own mother so that he can save mikasa and armin even before they were born (scene where Kruger talking about mikasa and armin long before grisha married to eren's mom)

Here's my take on the events:
So i remember a quote from somewhere saying this is the story of Mikasa told through Eren's eyes and i believe what this means is that Ymir being in love with king Fritz for 2000 years was a curse, and the reason why Mikasa was so important is because she WAS able to break her curse of love for Eren when Ymir couldn't which is why Eren said in his conversation with Armin when they were going through the different locations and growing up that Mikasa was the one who would bring about change with her actions.
From my understanding there reason why Ymir loved king Fritz is because she had children with him.
In the conversation with Armin and Zeke, Zeke talks about how Ymir adapted and evolved much in the way life does, but they also discuss that life is able to survive because it can multiply. When Armin and Eren talk they discuss that Ymir was always seeking connection and i believe as a result of having children with the king is what placed the supposed curse of love on Ymir that bound her to the paths for 2000 years.
The sequence with Eren and Mikasa at the farmstead is a ''what if'' scenario that would have played out if Mikasa told Eren that she loved him way back at the refugee camp back in Marley.
When Eren tells Armin that Mikasa's choices would ultimately shape the outcome of the story this is what he was referring to. If that night Mikasa had confessed her loved to Eren they would've ran away and lived peacefully in the mountains until Eren would eventually die due to the curse of the Ymir.
But because Mikasa said they were family, the outcome of that choice is what happens in the story where the rumbling happens, they kill Eren and the titan powers disappear. This is why Mikasa is so important and why its actually her story and not Eren's.
Hope this clears up a little bit of what was going on, been loving the reacts big john! cant wait to see more!
(Also i just wanted to use this space to go on a mini rant but i think the twist that Eren killed his own mother by sending Dina towards her and not Bert is fucking stupid. The whole motivation behind his character was because he was a bird trapped in a cage who saw her mother get killed in front of him by the cruel world around him, so him being revealed to be the prognosticator of all the events makes no sense in my opinion and doesnt fit with his character at all. The very LAST thing he would do would be to have his mother killed and i think its more or less just shock value added on at the end. Other than that the ending is flawless although personally i wanted to see Eren complete his goal and wipe out all of humanity)

from the moment Eren became all-powerful, he was behind the scenes long before the walls of Paradis were created. he is part of the "vow to renounce war" restricting the power of the founding titan so that his father can reclaim it. And he is also probably an influence on the research which led to the creation of the Ackerman line to achieve the result that we know. He is past present and future, connected to all Eldians and it is his influence that moves the titans since Fritz gave up doing so.

Mikasa did what Ymir couldn't - kill her lover. Ymir saw herself in Mikasa, and only after Mikasa killed Eren could Ymir finally be free from her 'chains.'
Eren came to visit them multiple times when he was gone, but he made sure to erase their memories before he left each time.
This was the only way. The genocide was unavoidable. Had Eren not pursued the Rumbling and left that day with Mikasa to live in that tiny cabin, Marley would have massacred Paradis Island first, and then with all the Titan power gained, they would have invaded every country in the world. So, the genocide was unavoidable, and it truly continued way into the future, as the end credits show. Eren thought, 'At least if I kill 80% of the people, my friends will be alive.'
Eren did everything, from killing his mom to everything else, because everything had to happen that way for this outcome to become a reality. Any other way, and his friends and Paradis Island would be massacred.
He always knew how he would die. He knew Mikasa would kill him, and that would liberate Ymir as well.
Ymir had been waiting for someone like Mikasa for millennia.

In a nutshell, man will be man and Eren saw no changing that. So, the only future he sought for was for his friends to live long and happy lives. A future where his friends can live in peace and free of the Titan expiration dates with no threats of war in their lifetime. He could only see the future through the decision he makes and this was the only path that lead to that desired future.
Armin took accountability because he planted the idea of and desire for freedom in Eren. He was just as obsessed as Eren for freedom, but he chose to attempt a different path. Anyone with that type of desire can easily picture a future as brutal as Eren's. It just so happens that Eren had the power to pull it off and that was the only way he can assure it happens in his limited time. And the only way to eradicate the titan curse.

So the first special opens with Mikasa reaching towards eren’s face, saying “see you later, eren” and this scene is preceded by mikasa killing eren in the second special. And in the manga, it happens right before eren wakes up under the tree for the first time, then it goes black, then eren wakes up and says he had a long dream he can’t remember and he was crying. You can interpret this as eren’s memories being sent back to himself while he was under the tree, right after he dies. So eren could be unknowingly living in a time loop. This is one theory about that that’s out there, and I think that because it’s literally on like the second or 3rd page of the manga, it’s pretty likely.

Best story telling of all time and its not even close. That said, something important I think you missed that isnt really being pointed out much in the comments. We see at 33:00 that Eren originally as he was taking steps toward this end, didn't know exactly what would happen. The founder Ymir was using the whole send memories to the past thing that Eren used on his dad when he killed the royal family. Ymir was doing that to Eren up until a certain point around S4 events. That is why Eren calls himself a slave to freedom. Eren wasn't the main character Mikasa was. Ymir formulated the "set up" for Mikasa to have her moment to chose and Eren was just a pawn only knowing that ultimately the path led to Mikasa choosing correctly in the end.

You actually caught what I mostly caught that seems a lot of people didn't like about the ending. Were they acting on freewill or were all of this predetermined? Was it all for naught since in the end, Paradis got nuked anyway. Does Eren have freewill? One thing for sure, Mikasa's decision to kill her beloved is what removed the Titans from the world. The very thing Founder Ymir wanted to do but was unable to because she was a slave. She wanted to see for herself that it was possible. Although, is the power of the Titans really gone from the world or was it just dormant inside Eren's severed head?
Also if you didn't know, there's an extra episode released back in 2018 where Mikasa was having a daydream of an alternate history with Eren. Kinda like what she saw here where they in a cabin. It's called "Lost in the Cruel World." As we know, an Ackermann's memory cannot be altered or erased. Unlike the rest of the crew, Mikasa had her conversation with Eren right there on Falco's back

Mikasa loved Eren to the point of it being unhealthy, him stomping over millions of people still couldn't make her be convinced of killing him. I’ve effectively watched AoT / SnK so many times through with so many people (via TH-cam) and this series has been one of my favourites (being from the UK)

i think the ackerman's ancestor wasn't an eldian . and he got injected by someone.but only eldians anatomy can change to titan form so maybe he got connected to paths and inherited the power in human form. this can explain the resistance to founder's powers

`handsome beast titan" 21:55 is actually Grisha's attack titan. and before that is Eren krugers attack titan doing his special break in half move.

Here is my conclusion : Eren was a slave to freedom, because it's the first thing Grisha told him as a baby, the attack titan influence on him and how he grew up learning about the outside world with Armin using the books and constantly looking at the walls. This future or THE future is caused because Eren got hold of an immense power while having only one thing in mind ... Freedom. We would see different futures if there were other people (Armin for example) in Eren's place, that's why that was the only outcome as he said to Armin in the end, now hold that thought and let's fast forward to the boy in the future, a boy exploring the world alongside his dog, he discovered the Tree, the same one Ymir fell in, surely he will discover the THING, but what we know is that when Ymir touched that thing turned into a titan because she was chased by people (and dogs, parallel ?) and wanted to be strong so she can defend herself, now because the little boy was only discovering maybe even if he touches that thing nothing will happen, or maybe something greater (Assuming that parasite grants wishes) and will help humanity be more human in the far future ...

    Watched the finale live...
It was so ominous watching it while the gaza war had just started.
