I think that the value is still there though. I never think about what the retail value is of a box. Because let's face it The supposed retail value of half the products in most beauty boxes is super inflated. No way anybody is going to pay $200 for that thing you got in yesterday's boxes. Better to have a lower retail value and a better variety and quality combo. Three huge items. And that eyeshadow palette is easily enough eyeshadow pans to be two or three eyeshadow palettes.
These boxes are the cutest! I totally agree with you. And you get actual good makeup and a really good value. They seem to make you happy, too, which means you need to keep getting them and opening them with us. 😊❤ Also, the makeup look you did is beautiful! You look so pretty with pinks and purples but this is metallic and dramatic, too, so it counts as adventurous.
After seeing your unboxings, I bought my daughter a P.Louise mystery box as one of her birthday presents. It was amazing. There was an eyeshadow palette that looked like a book. It had a lock and key and the front lights up when you open it. It was double sided and the colours were all fun and vibrant. That alone was worth the £30 I paid plus there were 4 other items, including a juice box with a lip scrub and lip mask. She absolutely loved it. Because I live in the UK, shipping was free. It was worth every penny. Love your channel ❤
Keep in mind that P. Louise caters to MUA's so they can build up their kitsch each month. So when you see 2 shadows sets in 1 box, one is for warm, one is for cool tones.
I believe the P.Louise boxes are designed for makeup students, beginner MUAs and small businesses. It's basically an affordable way to gradually build up a full cosmetic kit that (when complete) covers all 'bases' whilst finding products that you want to become staples in your regular use (as a MUA or business). That's what I was told the original intent was anyway.
This has been my favorite subscription for a long time now. I love that they give us the New products before they're even put out to sell ! I love P.LOUISE 😍😍😍
I'm from a town in-between Manchester and Liverpool, I was excited to see P Louise and Mmmitchell are from Manchester - P Louise does MUA academies from their Manchester location :D Also, i agree a lot of their palettes are samey, however on Tiktok theyre working with everyone to make some gothic style palettes which I'm excited about!

This one was my first PLouise box and I was over the moon! I sold the blush palette as I dont wear blusher, but the eyeshadow palette alone was worth it for me!
I really struggle with doing the inner corner point with liner. I'm glad I'm not alone. With the blushes that intimidate you, try barely tapping into them, or buffing onto your hand so you get less product when you go onto your face. You can also use the brighter colors towards the hairline more, then use a light/pastel color towards the apples. 🌻💙
I can't put blush on my apples because of how high my cheekbones are and my dimples, all of my blush tends to be in the back and into my hairline, which I'd never have tried on my own had it not been for Robert Welsh doing it
Can you check and see if the blush and highlighter palettes have a second tray in them? It looks like it isn't attached at the interior edges of the box and I'm curious.
See I really struggle with the P Louise boxes… I definitely see more value in those 3 palettes than in any assortment of samples or skincare that I can’t afford to replace, but the fact that the eyeshadow palettes all seem similar (yes, this one is a bit different but still pinky neutrals) it’s contributing to the resurgence of overconsumption of makeup that we all fell for back in 2012…
That's my thought. I like having a few pinks and probably have around 15 between all my palettes, but that's enough. There's only so much actual difference you can see on the eye.
You chose wisely! 😂 Honestly, your eyes look phenomenal. The blush colours are frightening, to me at least. I don’t wear blush or highlighters though so I’d let our daughters pick which they wanted. The eye palette is fabulous. I’m always at P. Louise, love them!
I actually like the smaller sample sized stuff from Ipsy! I love to try different makeup things but if I get full size items I NEVER use them up and I feel so wasteful or my caboodle ends up looking like a bad episode of hoarders. I have favorites I use full sizes in-but when I want to try something new I prefer a sample. Less commitment.

It's definitely a better value than other boxes, even if the price vale is lower, the value of the product being usable long term is higher than one time use samples!
It's not uncommon for the "thumbs" or dew claws to be removed by the breeder when pups are a couple days old... so that is probably where they went! Love your videos!
I came to say that. My yorkie had 7 siblings and he has a single dew claw (one paw has one the other does not) so my theory is they got confused with so many puppies and missed one 😆
@Ramsi they try to say that they are so young they don't feel it etc. It was breed standard for a long time for some breeds so it is tradition somewhat. Another reason people give is that it doesn't do anything for the dog, it can get caught on things, the nail can grow curled back into their leg if you don't remember to trim them. I think the reasons are pretty lame and I would probably not in the future get another dog from I breeder that removes dew claws.
@Ramsi when they are that young it's relatively quick, but yes it does hurt. They do it as a precaution as the dew claw is a bit higher up from the rest of the toes/claws and can get snagged and broken
Not all dogs are born with them… it is genetic. My female pup has them my male doesn’t half my puppies were born with half without. I had one who had back dew claws non in front…

I think this box is a way better value because it’s not just bits and bobs of skin care type item samples really- as you aren’t given enough of to even remotely decide if they’ll work for you… and also the value isn’t overly inflated (or pulled out of thin air like that weird machine thingie “valued at” $200!). You’ll get a ton of use out of those pallets! Also that makeup look you did today looks smashing on you! Like really really striking 😍 I always look forward to the P. Louise box videos!

P Louise has the prettiest packaging & that's what catches my eye. The box was nice but I wouldn't buy one as I don't use blusher/highlighter & only occasionally wear eyeshadow so it would be a waste. If I wore more make up I would definitely get this subscription box to make my make up collection bigger lol
There's base value - the actual $ per $ value - which IPSY has more value per box. Then there's functional value - the amount of use you'll get for the money spent- which PLouise rewrites the rules for. 1000% would rather have functional value.

Unboxing something SHOULD make you this happy & excited, otherwise it seems like the time, effort, money, even the product& shipping are just a waste. 💙💙 I know you need other stuff to fill out your channel and your time as a full-time TH-camr, but I say get rid of all the other stuff that doesn't make you happy like this, and find new things to unbox or focus your channel on, because if those other boxes don't make you happy, they don't deserve to still get bought, or continue being a focus on your channel. 💗💗💗 YOU DESERVE JOY. With ipsy they up price the actual value of the items especially when they sell the samples. What you call his thumbs are actually dew claws and are typically removed when they are young.
They are called dew claws on dogs, some breeders choose to remove them because they do not have nerves and get caught and rip off, which causes bleeding
You were going to google if a 'bank note' was cash money and yes, technically it is. It's from a time before the US Treasury/US Mint was printing paper money or 'notes' and banks did it themselves, so that people could trade copper/silver/gold for their worth in that bank's scrip. It was a wild time. Though these days it does mean any folding money.
These boxes are so class! I would love to subscribe but just can't justify the cost at the moment (even without the international shipping) but maybe one day...or maybe I'll just keep living vicariously through you and your videos. Where would I store all these enormous pallets anyway? 😂
The plouise box is better bang for your buck. I stopped all subscriptions except my plouise. It wasn't worth it and I love the cohesiveness of my collection now. Lol
