I used to love Jack McDuff because of the guitar player. I was just a young teen when I discovered George. One of my favorite tracks was ‘Four Brothers’, a lick I still hear in my head today after almost 60 years.
Clark Terry.....................so under rated
Amen,.... James Moody as well.
I love to hear a clean jazz guitar tone soaring above a rhythm section, especially when it's played like this.
Benson must be from another planet man...every time I watch him play I am blown away.
George still had his mad chops & a normal looking nose!
Jeff "Tain" Watts and Stanley Banks are shockingly explosive!
George Benson, James Moody, Clarke Terry, and Keyboardist David Garfield are bar setting .
5 star live rendition.
Pianist David Garfield can absolutely hang with the other virtuosi ... I’d like to hear him on Cherokee .
5:57 Chordal and double stop type phrasing. Wow, I love that.
Is JB Human ? seems like a Guitar God from Another Planet far Beyond the Human rase
Hey man, that piano solo was great, too!!!
Clark quoted 'Star Eyes' along about 9:34 or so. he's a wild and crazy guy!
Unequalled George Benson !
George Benson...wow!!
Stanley Banks and Jeff Watts are LOCKED IN. Lock in, rhythm section. Lock in.
Incredible !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
James Moody is incredible. What a great improvisor !
He looks like the black version of the professor in Jurasik Park.
For sure!
All of these musicians are Incredible!!! Loved Mr. Benson's Solo!!!!!!!
Super guitariste ce Benson... dommage qu'il se soit un peu "perdu" dans la variété.
I've heard a few [people say he's a Wes Montgomery imitator but that's BS. That section that starts at 6:09 is total George Benson.
@@darkoanton5 Yes, Mr. Benson may have taught himself some of Wes's licks in his youth, but definitely developed his own style. That's definitely all George Benson at 6:09!!!
He is a giant of guitar certainly!
These guys are a national treasure
No Question About That... Lol
Outstanding, thanks for posting!
james moody.....incredible
that bass player just vibes out the whole tune, love it.
Wow. Would love to hear george in a straight ahead blowing sextet setting again. Miss Clark and James. They were giants. No one blew like funky bluesy Moody!
WORD !
Stanley Banks, bass, David Garfield, piano, Jeff "Tain" Watts, drums.
Clark Terry, James Moody and Benson....ooooh..those were the days
George Benson tocando Jazz es grandioso!! Está claro que si se hubiera dedicado solo al jazz no hubiera hecho fortuna, lamentablemente el jazz es música popular pero no masiva.
george benson looks like a man possessed. one of the greatest ever
