It's fair if you are not fair with it, the mod intends for you to go mad with it because it will go mad with you. And not because it was intended, but because the creator is insane, so his mod can only be played real fast and effective by going insane with the plays.
It was infact fair but you needed to use modpacks like crazycraft for better play throughs and if this crazy fool instead of going insane actually updated this it would have been better
It's sad he stopped working on it but you cant really blame him, when Mojang took over Minecraft they made something so they could take any asset from mods or something like that

There's standalone mods to have this and other similar functions like the capsules and the capture balls in versions past this one but due to changes in how Minecraft world sometimes it crashes the game so I would recommend using the item mods and using some other mod to catch and store mobs.

Now that I'm older, I enjoy playing various mods with my friends, but I still can't get over the feeling I had when I first saw Ore Spawn. I recently learned that there were a lot of complications with this mod. While I am saddened, I am also happy that my beautiful memories will remain as they are. Thank you for giving me nostalgia. I am using the translation function, so the words may be incorrect. Please forgive me for being stupid and incompetent.
Looking back at this from a non-nostalgia goggles perspective, this mod rly was not all that lmao. To be frank, it's unbalanced, unfair and cheesy. I think the reason why all of us were obsessed with this and thought this was a good mod comes from one cause: Popularmmos He basically convinced all of us that this mod had THE hardest/strongest bosses. Ofc cuz most of us were fking stupid lots of us translated "Most Powerful Bosses" to "Best Bosses". So everytime he declared the "Most Powerful Bosses" it almost always came from Orespawn (Emperor Scorpion, Caterkiller, Mobzilla, The King, The Queen) so we were constantly amazed how this mod managed to spit out so many "tough" bosses. Even now, The Queen is still the Strongest Boss excluding the Windigo from Mythical Creatures Mod (Which you could argue is Orespawn on steroids, magnifying it's difficulty by 1000 but at least it doesn't pretend to be an actual survival playable mod like Orespawn) and the entire Titans Mod (Which I WILL argue is 100x more ridiculous than Orespawn because holy sht I think the creator just saw Pat's videos and wanted to make the new "strongest" bosses.) Aside from Epic Proportions, we never really saw Orespawn from a survival perspective. I think Pat and Jen were really good at hiding the flaws of this mod by being genuinely funny and having enjoyable content to distract from the shthole that is this mod. But seeing this video, without the entertaining dialogue + all the drama with the creator + the fall of Popularmmos really highlights the problems this mod has.
Tbf why wouldnt it be cheesy? Its a classic fantasy adventure but in minecraft. Not many games have these cool classic fantasy freeroams It was pretty unbalanced though but it was meant to be hard. Who wants bosses you can beat easy?
The mod has problems but I think it's still a really fun and deep mod if you're willing to power through the bullshit. It's stupid and unfair and I kinda like it like that.
thus reminds me of the rlcraft speedrun where all you do is find a flying pet and good structures until you kill the enderdragon really shows how mods/modpacks with so kuch content are stupidly easy if you just know what structures are good

How can you tell which dungeon is tier 6? Is it based on spawners? I thought all queen themed tower dungeons (the purple stairs and pillars) were the same. Super fascinating run, congrats!
I have had a look at twilight forest speedruns but they all seem pretty long and require a lot more patience. Orespawn is also that broken and badly made that it allows for much more fun speedrun tactics and such imo. But eventually i do want to branch out to other nostalgic mods / modpacks to speedrun so if you have any other suggestions id appreciate it. Thanks for the support!
I was thinking of doing a 100% speed run at some point (all bosses) but I feel like would be a little anticlimactic with just one shotting most of them. I may try to do either a queen one or a speed run with the 3 main bosses instead, although not for a while because right now im pretty content with this WR. But thanks for the suggestion!

Speedrun communities make categories for runs that don’t finish the game all the time. Minecraft itself has an official category dedicated to dying 3 sheep Dark Blue, Orange and Red dye because it makes them look like Sonic Tails and Knuckles
As much as how badly the mod was made (and if iring the creator), I still think the mod is cool lol, just the sheer amount of (often badly designed) stuff and randomness still makes it interesting (can't wait for chaos awakens to port to 1.20.1)

@@MathisMathis An easy way of checking if a dungeon is tier 6 is by checking if there's fire at the top of the dungeon
