I really appreciate this video. Speedruns are cool, but there's nothing cooler than having the intricacies and difficulties laid out by someone that truly understands it.
I really want to see a challenge where someone gets as many advancents as possible, all at once. So you have to have a chain with no more than 5s before getting another one. So it'd require a lot of setup like How Did We Get Here, and also routeing to see which are worth popping early to allow other ones to be possible

This strikes me as an extreme version of the “when you suddenly gain consciousness as a child” type of idea, Steve suddenly either appears or gains the consciousness of the player, and then immediately in like 20 days kills gods and overcomes every challenge the world has for him.

That's actually fucking nuts The sheer amount of game knowledge you need for this astounds my boomer minecraft brain who thought them adding a second boss in the wither was cool
I kinda agree with the one dude talking about the animation down in the corner. I've seen multiple speed runner's who've used animations in corners to hide things and cheats.
There's nothing there worth hiding. Mayyyyybe the pie chart text if you're trying to cover up that you actually know where all the animals and structures are, and can't mimic the process of finding them, but that's so obviously not happening here even if the text were covered up entirely that it hardly seems worth bringing up even hypothetically. In any event it is possible to record the raw game footage without the overlays and I believe that can be requested. The really dangerous possibility in minecraft speedrunning is that of seed injection with no pre-scouting by the runner. (You can write filters for desired parameters, that's how tournament seeds are found. Tournaments use seeds that can't be rolled randomly, but that's not a necessary outcome of the filters.) I don't know whether that can be detected.
@@BlueCyann I do agree, but i have seen multiple times speed runner's who cover up something you wouldn't really suspect, or for say. There could be a Logo of some kind for a client, that can't be turned off. Now i don't wan't to discredit this guy, because this run was excellent. However the possibility is out there.
Hey comments section, I don’t want to be doubting the run because it was very impressive but their was something I was curious about. At 36:56 you can see that their are 69 bones in a stack in Feinberg’s inventory. According to the wiki 64 should still be the stack limit so I wanted to ask the comments if something had changed. Normally I wouldn’t comment on something small like this but for some reason it is really bothering me right now, but I know that there isn’t anyone smarter than TH-cam comments so I’ve come to the experts to satisfy my curiosity, thanks.
Eh, not really. Sometimes watching it feels like the length of the run makes luck less important to the outcome (aside from thunder anyway) but there’s still a lot of it. It’s really hard to tell how much of Feinbergs dominance (he seems 15 minutes or so faster then anyone else consistently) is down to his skill and speed and how much to the fact that he runs the category probably as often as the rest of the top ten combined (which gets him more lucky runs). I think he actually is better but it’s be hard to prove.
@@BlueCyann I think because it's way longer The number of luck based incidents is higher And you're gonna end up with more "average" luck over the course of a run when it has time to balance out. Getting good luck still isn't easy But getting unplayable luck does seem less likely than the main category where you can just kinda brick

One would expect "start of the run", "30 minutes in" and "when he got the elytra" to refer to very different points in time. And yet, here we are.
I never knew he had so much knowledge about MC. I thought he only played Nintendo games cuz all his videos are Pokemon
Hes a good speedrunner
Last winter or so he got addicted to Minecraft on Twitch. His entire development from "my first day of minecraft" to WR attempts is probably VODs.
The speedrun and this guy's explaining was really entertaining to watch
Me: Alright, 3 hours in and I've finally finished detailing my base, now I can get started mining!
This guy:
Smant said "this is my favorite strat in the run" like 3 times during this speedrun LMAO
to be fair the shulker yeet was truly pog
getting recommended this video again after watching fein reduce the WR by over an hour really puts into perspective just how far AA has come
I love how he used the exact words for the "Uneasy Alliance" advancement, didn't even know that was possible before this stream
This gotta be one of my favorite smallant videos, I love the analysis and commentary of it! Great job to Feinberg as well for an incredibly insane run!
0:18 “this speedrun is very difficult because getting all the advancements is hard” lmao 🤣
?
congrats feinberg on getting the world record. smallant, you watched, good job.
I really appreciate this video. Speedruns are cool, but there's nothing cooler than having the intricacies and difficulties laid out by someone that truly understands it.
7:10 That popping SmallAnt did was too satisfying.
Also love the fact that getting a stone pickaxe is one of the last three advancements he gets lmao.
I really want to see a challenge where someone gets as many advancents as possible, all at once. So you have to have a chain with no more than 5s before getting another one. So it'd require a lot of setup like How Did We Get Here, and also routeing to see which are worth popping early to allow other ones to be possible
I think pogLoot quater ssg does just that :)
@@nullchilly9851 Pretty flexible definition of "just" meaning "exactly", lol
11:46 “guaranteed to drop it if they’re holding it” wish it worked that way for TRIDENTS LIKE WHY
the luck and pure dedication the Feinberg has is insane, but i can barely get past Ant's memory, theres so much skill in both the commentary and gameplay that my brain is frying, good shit to the both of you ♡
24:01 "They spob mobs at an insane rate" -Smallant, 2022
36:14 "It was very fast but he did do it" Bro's describing the whole speedrun at this point xD
And as of this vid being made, Feinberg has already broken his own record xD
Yeah by nearly 10 minutes
I don't watch as many speed runs as I'd like because I just can't keep up with all the new strats. I would love to see some more breakdown/reactions to other runs.
For anyone curious what language the Speedrun was set at in the beginning it is Croatian
Mojang: _Adds a new advancement they think is cute and fits the update_
Speedrunners of this category: BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD
It’s so crazy how out of date this speedrun is now lol
im curious how so
This strikes me as an extreme version of the “when you suddenly gain consciousness as a child” type of idea, Steve suddenly either appears or gains the consciousness of the player, and then immediately in like 20 days kills gods and overcomes every challenge the world has for him.
“He put a elytra and an unbreaking 3 book and now he has a unbeaking 3 elytra.” i really couldnt have known that without him saying that. Though, it is really hard to think of what to say during this kind of stuff
HEY SMALLANT!!! i honestly can not wait for kirby videos
This was so fun to watch, really cool analysis!
you should try to collab with dougdoug! i think the idea of you two competing in a video would be insane, both of y’all’s commitment to a goal would make it a really good race, or whatever you guys would do.
wow you were like a year ahead of your time lol
actually insane how good speedrunners are
I’ve watched this so many times! Love the video so much. Keep up the great work!
SmallAnt you should react to speedrunning all advancements on half a heart world record. Its really interesting.
That's actually fucking nuts
The sheer amount of game knowledge you need for this astounds my boomer minecraft brain who thought them adding a second boss in the wither was cool
I love how the sentence at the end (He has beaten this world record recently) is always true
That's a pretty great run, sadly I was busy looking at the cat girl vibing most of the time
I kinda agree with the one dude talking about the animation down in the corner.
@@BlueCyann And i would request the guy to see whats behind, but honestly, who would really listen.
@@Planetes910 You can see all the instances without the overlays at the start of the run as they are all recorded individually. There's nothing there.
@@BlueCyann Ohh, ok. My mistake!
Ant describing what's happening is like a character narrating a fight and what every moves does when two characters are fighting in an anime
This man being more organised in an all advancements speed run than I am in my 3 year survival world
fein the goat
Yeah we’ll see who gets the first sub 3
Commentary really helped understand what was happening. I would have been lost otherwise, even with who knows how many days of playtime.
Imagine AA lockout bingo where each box is an advancement
you can barely call this a reaction, it can almost be called a full on analysis
Thank you so much for explaining everything happening in the run. Makes me understand and appreciate this ridiculous speedrun.
I watched it again and it shows him use bones to tame the wolves from 64 to 62 then 60 but then it spikes up to 69, still very confused.
it was 59, just hard to see with the white numbers on white background due to the bone icon
Ok thanks
Nice
Fun fact he has the wr 4 times in a row watched all of the runs full vids FeelsStrongMan
31:51 Loving the music syncing up with the anvil
This seems a lot more skill based and less pure luck than beat the dragon fast.
@@BlueCyann I think because it's way longer
The number of luck based incidents is higher
And you're gonna end up with more "average" luck over the course of a run when it has time to balance out.
Getting good luck still isn't easy
But getting unplayable luck does seem less likely than the main category where you can just kinda brick
Is there a list of these "first enchants per world", would be interesting to look at
I don't play Minecraft anymore, but I do enjoy watching it time to time and that run went from amazing to massively amazing having someone break down the parts into easy to understand explanations. Appreciate you breaking down all the tricks.
I’d love to see a TAS on a set seed in this category. Would be insane
Pretty sure that exists just look it up
Curcuit has a TAS for How Did We Get Here? and its one of the wildest TASes I've seen
11:58 he’s so real for this
Literally what
