Gunstocks for me, at least the one I own, slows down stuff like reloading. I only use my gunstock in realism games like TAVR and Tabor, for immersion and added stability. In Pavlov, Contractors and Vail, the fast paced gameplay means it makes no sense to use a gunstock over the built in virtual stock, especially since most targets wont be further than 30m in most scenarios. My aim between Virtual Stock and a Gunstock is pretty similar, since I aim the gun realistically with both inputs, but the gunstock is easier to use at longer ranges (which is why I use it in Tabor).
ive been free handing VR since 2019 on a CV1 and i sleep on people with stocks all day. but someone on the same level as me with a stock usually has the upper hand i will say. but if you practice free hand can be more fluid than having a stock becuase you arent forced into a set position controller wise.
Yeah, I do think there are advantages and disadvantages to using free hand, but I think it depends on the games you play and the settings you use. When I tried Ghost of Tabor settings for gunstock, it was broken and hard to figure out. But VAIL VR didn't have that, and I was feeling good with it. So it is personal preference.
ive looked at this stock before... the shoulder rest being so slim was one of the things keeping me from pulling the trigger,... i thought one fix could be a slim pool noodle or some wrap around pipe insolation but for what the stock costs that seems like a lame fix
Wrd thanks for the plug 🤘
good job :D
Thank you!
I love gunstocks. I make my own and I made one for contractors showdown. I made it with fast reloading in mind
makes me want to get one

Whether the buttstock can be demonstrated, it feels like it's just about the feeling of using it.

@@MadNitr0 honestly, it's not a bad idea. I think maybe even getting foam from a nearby hobby lobby or craft store could suffice too.
@@MadNitr0 also the price is a bit steep, bit for the materials you get, it's not that bad.
@@EGoat i agree the price for what you get is not bad but then trying to make it better with hardware store foam fells silly or at least it did to me
Gunstocks are good for slowpaced games. Free hand will always be better for fast gameplay
Agree to an extent. I think it can work in both ways, just gotta have a lot of practice for them imo.
