Turning Clip-Ins into permanent sew-in extensions (Best method 2024)

  • Today I am showing how I install extensions from beginning to end. We are deconstructing clip-ins to use as wefts. This is a cheaper/more affordable option with the cons being that the weft is bulky compared to the seamless weft or hand-tied human hair. The hair she used was the ombre bohyme clip-in human hair extensions in 22" which is very long. I used the two best methods on her the first two rows are the braided wefts, and the last row was the braid-less weft with the microbeads. Then we cut layers (curtain bangs) to blend the hair into the extensions. And finished with some beautiful curls. An amazing before and after that will last for 6-8

    I def like using clip ins better than bundles for sew in. The clip in’s pre cut and pre finished wefts produce less shedding.

      How about when washing the hair, is it harder to dry and is it too heavy for the scalp 🥹?

      @@cutiepi3_patti Yes, I’d def use them for a sew-in. Y not:)
      Clip-ins are pre-cut. (Cutting wefts creates more shedding). Remove the metal clips and sew-in. This is good.

      What do you mean by less shedding? I sewed in wefts for years - and am just now returning to it. But what does shedding mean?

    That was really ice. I'm just wondering why people don't get sew in weaves for permanent where you take out the bead loops, seam rip the blanket stitch after they cure with the adhesives for a few days, and then get to pull the final thread that you insecure in a nice continuous swirl over the head like dolls hair? Why don't hair dressers show us why women love this technique and how it's for ANY kind of person with hair? I think a lot of people are wearing it wrong because they don't know they can take the holding structures out after they're bonded because the stitches help separate them until they're lash thin and how if they just stitched closer finer stitches sewing over 3 times wouldn't be needed. I'm just an Idian and have done this all my life -- doesn't everyone know to do this? Once keratin bonds it's permanent and only needs to be retouched with a liquid glue if it seems to be shedding or stiff. If you're not going to recolor your hair and really let It grow then, it's the best way to do it.

    Do you need to add the extra hair for the braid before? Or can you just braid their natural hair?

    • @radiancebeautyinc
      @radiancebeautyinc  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes i use Xpression braiding hair at the beginning and end

    • @kbeautician
      @kbeautician ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No additional hair needed. However, if the hair tends to slip out. As sometimes is the case with silky luster hair. Then the synthetic braiding hair can help prevent slippage.

    So I’m using clip in as sew in but they are wide because it’s 4 wefts together. Which I like because they are thicker. Do you think I can just sew around or should I split the wefts? I hope you can understand what I’m saying without sending a pic. I’m just a little worried about how they will lay.

    • @radiancebeautyinc
      @radiancebeautyinc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      i would try to cut the wefts apart so its not so thick.

    • @kbeautician
      @kbeautician ปีที่แล้ว

      I like the thicker wefts. You can sew in the thick weft.

    I’m sorry if this sounds dumb but can you glue in kanekalon straight extensions? Or only human hair? Can you color or bleach with the kanekalon in your hair?
    Thank you so much.!

    Have you ever sewed using fishing line? I’m afraid and other string might break 😬

    • @radiancebeautyinc
      @radiancebeautyinc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      we use a special thread specifically for extensions. its very stong almost like a fishing line but its still flexable and can breath. you can find it in our online store for an affordable price :)

    There is absolutely no such thing as "permanent sew in extensions"!

    • @radiancebeautyinc
      @radiancebeautyinc  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Permanent in the sense that they don’t come off easily or quickly unlike clip-ins

    “White people hair”
    “Black people hair”
    Cringe @ Racial categories to describe hair.
    Instead, perhaps use…
    Hair Texture: straight, wavy, curly, coily
    Hair Luster: Silky, med, coarse
