I decided to get permanent keratin hair extensions after Camille from France recommended it to me on stellarihair.com/

So I do extensions on my self all the time so here’s a suggestion, take a few tape in extensions around the top to hide the connection point. It will help hide stuff. Only on the last top layer. Just a suggestion. 😊❤️
I thought these were supposed to be less visible than tape ins? If not, why would you ever choose these over tapes?
What extensions do you use ?
I have mine made out of Russian hair, this lady on Etsy makes them. They last about a year. I take them out every 8 to 10 weeks and reinstall them myself.
@@Al-pe9ml I can see using them for the bulk of the head but on shorter hair I would want them to be hidden. So I would use a few tape ins just to have them blind a bit better.
As a hair extension specialist I would love to see you with one more bag of hair. I think it looks pretty but I think you need more hair towards the front so it looks less mullety.
Yes finally someone who can give an honest comment. Looks incredibly mullet, and the hair quality doesn’t look good either
The aim was to put enough extensions for a short bob haircut, that is why the placement is like that - its good placement for the cut she does herself afterwards. Stella just decided last minute she wanted to play around with the long extensions before cutting the final look :) (I wish she'd pin a comment herself on this video so people will stop misunderstanding, as it's not fair to the stylist who placed them).
can i pick your brain? if keratin bonds can be removed with a cream, would working with oil and getting them oily a bit possibly 2 a week be a problem, and cause them to slide off into the abyss?? 🏄🏼♀️

i’ve been trying to grow out hair for 3 years now😅 and they keeping getting damaged, thinned out. first due to A Lot of steroids and asthma meds, permanent b12 anemia, then covid, then anemia, covid again .. i swear down it’s 😂💀
so😂 i’m about to get some! before my hair was short for more than 10 years .. bobs going from platinum, honeys, strawberries, via blue, emeralds, pinks etc

@@zazu3006 because K-tip are a glue based extension, putting oil at your root can cause slipping. I would recommend something with a bead in that case such as sew in wefts or I-tip extensions

You should leave the ends that minty color but blend it with the green up top, it would make SUCH a pretty ombre! 😍

I’m really confused why he only put extensions in the middle section of your head. They’re not blended at all

Je vais l'écrire en français car je ne sais pas comment le dire en anglais : il ne peut pas trop remonter les extensions car quand Stella va avoir les cheveux sales, cela va se voir directement. Il ne peut pas aller trop bas car si elle veut s'attacher les cheveux elle ne pourra pas, les extensions vont se voir. Il a fait un boulot incroyable je trouve ça très réussi. Stella doit laisser pousser encore un peu ses cheveux du dessus et recouper après pour blender mais là faut attendre car ils sont trop courts encore.

he did such an amazing job! it's got to be hard doing that on short hair and I understand why it might not be a look that everyone likes ( seeing some of the comments). but he did a really amazing job and I think this is such a fun and exciting canvas to do more fun looks and I'm so excited for you!!!

Thanks for trying that! Got short hair myself and really miss having long hair but getting extensions is kinda expensive and i also worried they might not stay in because of my length but your hair is way shorter than mine and it looks absolutely stunning!

I did a halo extension and 4 clip in pieces while growing my pixies out. Didn’t wear it daily, just a few times a week when I needed a break from the slow grow out.
I LOOOOOOVE the blue, you should def keep it and just ombre it with the top to make it more seamless, it's GORGEOUS
I agree! Do a darker shadow root on the natural, then add one or two more gradient colors to make it a seamless, beautiful ombré! Like dark blue green root to sea foam tips
I’d love to see you try all different types of extensions! Especially styling updos with them and comparing the longevity, how healthy it is for your hair, how easy they are to take out, the price, and how natural they look. Also, I’m new here so I’m not sure if you’ve done it before but hair tinsel!

I feel kinda sad that we don’t see the whole growing out fase, which could have been really interesting. Cutting short the under part of the hair and let the upper hair grow out till the come to a short pixie /bob. That’s what I have done with my hair when I grew them back and it would be awesome to see a hairdresser’s approach, even more Stella’s.
I hope you live the moment and enjoy it at the fullest, growing your hair back needs it time but it can be really creative ❤
Getting these extensions was how I ended up with my pixie 6 years ago from the damage. I don't have the patience, but I loved them for the first 2 weeks.

I love my short hair but I’m bored of it and really miss long hair… I think I really want extensions I miss tying my hair it looks so cute!
You look beautiful with every look! Personally, I prefer short hair on you too, but I completely understand wanting to change. I think these mint tones suit you very well, but I would create a more ombre effect, darkening the roots like your real hair. I just think it would look so much better because now the extensions are quite obvious. Just a humble opinion!

In the future you could try tape in extensions and install them yourself as it's pretty easy to do. And takes less than an hour to do.

and THIS is exactly why you can’t trust that a place or someone is good just because they have crazy high prices, the fact that she talked this man up like he was just the hair God and some kind of extension master and she left there looking absolutely crazy like the Britney Spears pictures from the 2000s when all of her extensions were showing is absolutely mind-boggling..anyone that watched one TH-cam video could’ve done what he just did. He didn’t blend them AT ALL…He didn’t cut them at all. It is literally the definition of what you don’t wanna do when you do extensions… this is just absolutely unacceptable and he honestly didn’t even seem friendly in the video. I cannot imagine being charged for this I would’ve 100% demanded that he take them out of my head. insane. That old white man should be ashamed of himself.
Its not that its terrible, but for as much youtube money as she has she could have gotten a seamless result. I see gorgeous results on pixie cuts on some hair stylist pages i follow on insta, sure its around 1k to have it done but if you can afford it, you can get a much better result than this
He didn’t put as many extensions that he should have! He left a massive chunk underneath and should have put more on the top layers!

They always say don’t get extensions unless you have AT LEAST shoulder length hair, and I can see why. I think even if he added more it would never blend quite right
There are plenty in there. It's just that her own hair is so short, it becomes round. And that makes it seem like there aren't enough extensions. But they go up pretty high and putting in more, they would become visible. And that's not a good look for anyone. Plus, the color difference also doesn't help.
I don’t think that you are the stylist here… Its inevitable to have some shorter pieces of hair be visible. I thought that was common sense but apparently not.
I feel like part of the problem is the extensions are first of all a different texture from her hair and her hair is a abit fuller than the extensions which is why the difference is so stark

I don't understand why she went for 613 and dyed them. You can't dye keratin glue, you need to get them the colour you actually want them in.
Toning is about as much as you can do.
you can really tell that you have extensions in your hair and I think they shouldn‘t be this visible 🙈 it looks cheap and the color is not matching your own hair…

As a long term short hair girl, I absolutely love having long hair now (grown out, not extensions). It was difficult to grow out, though.
I had micro extensions some years ago. With a matching color (and a good hairstylist) the result will be perfect, but I lost some extension in the first month 🥲. She was amazing but my hair didn't like extensions for my experience

I waited 2+ years to have breast length hair, and I'm so mad to see that it wasn't this cool than what I've imagined. Like I live in the south of France, where it can be very very hot (45 degrees and more) in summer and I'm literally sooo hot if I don't put it in a bun or ponytail. I'm like "tf I waited 2 years for this lenght if I need to put it this way" and now this afternoon I will be back in my short hair lol. It's really not for everyone 😭

I'm really hoping the color fix blends the extensions into the hair better because its not giving.
It’s a no not sure how you think a blatant demarcation line showing your own short hair and thin one length crispy extensions look good without adding volume to ur own thin hair on top no girl
I feel what gives this away is that it you can see you have two very different textures of hair on your head, your own hair looks much smoother and I dont think its how you styled it.
I think you need more hair extension , But I do missed your longer hair... Even thought it cute to have pixie hair, & short hair & wig on.... I still missed your natural longer hair to see❤❤❤❤❤❤
I just got my extensions removed yesterday. I had them done in April. Glad I tried them but I definitely am glad they’re out. 😆 They’re not for me but I’m glad to have checked that off my bucket list!

Happy for you hunni! I had your length hair too, and also got keratin bonds and yes it does require additional effort to style and blend but like you, I love having long hair again. ❤ being gently with brushing, washing and styling to prevent breakage is essential but worth OT for my circumstances
I love the color, but somehow it all seems a bit 'off'? When you put your hair up, I can also see a string of hair attached very obviously at for example 8:40. I really hope you'll try that stunning emerald color on the rest of the hair to make it a solid blend ❤
Years ago before I managed to grow my hair out long; I tried many different types of hair extensions and I found most to be uncomfortable or ruined my hair. Until I tried keratin bonded hair extensions! They are by far the best type of hair extensions out there. Super easy up keep, don’t damage your hair, look the most natural, super comfortable to wear, easiest to brush through and wash, no matting or tangles and are hardly noticeable when you tie your hair up. Even the up keep to get them applied, maintained or removed was the quickest and most comfortable method. I’ve had some hair extensions before that were so uncomfortable and painful to remove before but not these. Love them.
I’m wanting to try out extensions. I’m about 25% grey though, so I am wondering if inneed to dye my roots about every 6 weeks, most people online say you can’t do it with keratin bonds in b/c it disintegrates them, but I’m a rebel, so I’m wondering if that’s ‘actually’ true.. so you happen to know? I have a hard time believing all these young girls don’t go for any root touch-ups or bleach the whole time they have keratin bonds in! I mean, I heard you can keep them in for up to 4 months! What do you think?
Honestly the extensions were done poorly. Not placed correctly, nor does the hair seem of good quality. Looks like a mullet extension 😢 Styling is gonna be problematic

The keratin coated parts did not dye 🤨
Extensions do damage your hair. It pulls it and thins the hair. Don’t recommend it.
My hair colorist likes doing a darker on the top lighter at the bottom look. So this coloring would be what she would do. I like it. It's like a gradient. Perhaps it just needs more blending
