Has the be the Hammer. The OG W124 with those flared fenders and that interior that has more 80's coolness than Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis in a room together. 🔥

5:58 in automatic mercedes, you don't need to hold the key in order to turn it on, you can just push it a bit to the right and will start right away
got the predecessor C32, love it, runs great till today with 250k km. only problem with these is rust at the doors and tailgate...
the C32 is a littler faster than the C55
C55 owner here and the rust on my passenger door is getting to be an issue. 😢
No mate c55 is faster 0-100 4.8 5.1 and to 200 16.8 meanwhile c32 0-100 5.4 5.7 and to 200 18 19sec.@@kingkoolkris

The 55 unblown AMG models are reliable beasts. I myself got me a SLK55 AMG. Like driving a go kart with a good sound v8.
SLK55 has 6 speed auto which never made it into the C55. C55 is running at 3,000 rpm at 80 mph which seems like sprint gearing. In a C55, shift to an over-drive gear never happens so long distance running is a little hectic. A sixth gear over-drive would have been perfection.

I've had c32 amg tuned it was cool. It was able to make 300kmh on a gps. Now i am having cls55, it feels much sportier and refined than c32.

My uncle has the sedan version of the C55 Amg and it is nuts!!! Everytime I drive it I love it more and more. That car just begs me to rev all the way up. And than it's the sound..oh my God that roaring V8 it is just from another planet (maybe because ours has decat done). I managed to reach 270km/h with it so I think someone has removed the limiter before
And my dad has a S55!
In USA, speed limit in my area is 65 mph so I never get to exercise my C55.

C55 owner here - Put some Michelin Pilot Sport 5 on the car and pick a nice windy road and have some fun !!
Not fun on long drives with family though.
It gets premium contact 7s front and 6s rear during summer which gives good balance of comfort and handling 👍 compromises always lurking...

Have a white C55 2006 with black interior apparently only 40 in the world...there are even more 55 versions. But nobody really seems to care or know LOL i love it

C55 sedan owner here. Estate is super cool. USA did not get AMG C-class estates. USA did not get sport package although brakes can be taken from 2007-09 CLK55. USA never got limited slip differential. I don't want the brakes because they are very costly to maintain. Do want the LSD. Watching this vid makes me want to jump in my car and make a run on my local freeway at 65 mph. Yup, that's our speed limit. I'll have to live through your driving experience to see what you can do everyday. Thanks to the car owner and you for a great video experience.
Brake discs are horribly expensive. 2 months prior to video i had them changed in the front €1000 dollars for brembo 340mm 2 piece discs alone!
Tempted next time to "downgrade" to standard 345mm C55 brake discs. 6 pot callipers can work with them with very minor work (add 2.5mm washers) needed.

only 9 estate models with performance pack where made. I see the brakes are from the performance pack but I'm missing the front bumper. edit: 3 out of 9 where medical cars for f1/dtm, 3 of 9 where ring taxies and the last 3 where road cars. So this should be only 1 of 3 touring with performance pack for the road!

@@KingofInterns It will be my 2nd car (actually 3th). I always wanted an E46 M3 but those are over 40k in decent condition. Then I learned you can manual swap the C55 and it has 2 more cilinders and 100nm more torque then a E46 ;)

Your car is 10 years newer and can be tuned to 400+hp so yes faster. Also this car can get 32mpg on a run so no the b8 isn't more economical especially if tuned to be faster.@@lexman8678
@@lexman8678 And my Tesla Model 3 (464 hp, 620 nm) eats your B8 alive and costs only 12 cents per km if I drive sporty, 9 cents if I drive normal. So what? There's always a faster car. The C55 is awesome.

These are fairly cheap now so I'd suggest people to buy one because they will soon go up in value by quite a lot when everything becomes electric and boring. W204's have already started going up and these will follow soon.
As a standard W203 owner I can tell you they are bulletproof when taken care of. Just avoid V6 cars because they can be a bit of a pain.
C320 v6 is m112 so robust (based on m113 platform) but it is pre face lift meaning buy 2004 only to avoid rust problems.
Agreed though m272 v6 engine for face lift isn't as reliable
@@KingofInterns The m112 is solid but the m272 is kinda fragile just like om642 in the 320 CDI. Inline 4's and 5's are tanks though.
Actually the C320 CDI V6 W203 Facelift 2006 never had problems. Even after 250.000 km.
I've got a C320 CDI from 2005 with 418 thousand km, fourth owner from new, haven't had any problem since I've bought it. Pulls awesome, only downside is that it tends to consume over 11l of diesel, considering that some 3.0 TDI's are below 10l.

The 208 CLK 55 cabrio model I think is more rare with just 400 units vs 595
Still this is an odd beast. CLK209 forward of the A pillar and S203 for the rest. Unique chassis!

Fun fact: the w203 c55 amgs have the front lights of the clk w209 and not from the w203
Lights, Hood, Fenders and if you wish front bumper. All front body parts are from CLK, maybe bumper have different styling but original from CLK is plug and play.
The whole structure forward of A pillar is A209 chassis.
This is basically a CLK 55 A209 estate :)

Sedan got the same Nürburgring time as the M3.
Indeed sedan shaves a good second off 100-200 it is after all about 75kg lighter (both specced with sunroof). Around the ring definitely faster than M3.
Why does it not have a performance pack front bumper?
Unlike in the States, AMG offered a performance package options list in mainland Europe.
This car ticked LSD, big brake kit, revised suspension, 120 mm exhaust tips, and raised vmax 280km/h only. Limiter is removed though so will go 290 ish GPS.
There are quite a few other options this car did not get specced with, such as F1 medical car front bumper, amg headers (wrapped shorties) for 400hp, alcantera headliner and steering wheel, paddle shifters
Other than the headers, though, it has the right boxes ticked. I won't complain :)
@@KingofInterns Hmmm, I was under the impression all performance pack cars in Europe got that front bumper. Learned something new. Any idea of that LSD part number and if can be sourced in Europe? I have an '05 C55 sedan and would love it on my car.
@Johnny McKerr I think it would be really hard to get it. It is essentially a fairly bespoke piece manufactured by AMG in probably tiny quantities.
Although robust and way chunkier than the standard diff it is only 30% lock max.
Off the shelf aftermarket units are probably at least just as good if not better.
@@KingofInterns Yes, Ive read the OEM unit is only 30% lock. Obviously something like 60% lock would be better but I'm not a huge fan of non-OEM parts.

Rust issues occurred from 97-2003. 2004 onwards this was fixed.
This car was built 2004 hence much more rust resilient

To be fair performance exhaust isn't really what it is. The car has optional larger 120mm tips only. All cats, resonators, mufflers are in place like stock.
One day if/when cats go bad I may try to do something. Expensive stuff though especially in switzerland 🇨🇭 :(

Manual swap is doable.

It is but also it does make it daily driverable even 20 years later.
@@KingofInterns manual transmission will outlast a slushbox. Plus the latter has no place in a sports vehicle! Takes away all the driving fun!
@Andres Guerin agreed, in this case though the gear box is very tough. It can handle more than double the torque this engine can throw at it and can easily go a million km.
Also for those with wives without manual license (like me) manual is a deal breaker :)
