Sir, you did a rather detailed story and mentioned even the name of the Orissa CM, but failed to mention Vinesh Phogat's name though history will remember her as the real star of the Indian continent in the Paris Olympic games...It was a sight to behold her three superlative wins in the run-up to the final and she was assured of a gold/silver but she was did in by our own officialdom...

Jayashankar Sir. I respect you a lot and hence watch your programme regularly. I would like to bring a major factual error that you have mentioned in this video. You have nentioned that Odisha is one of the poorest states of the country. The fact is that Odisha is not only one of the richest states, it has the distinction of not having borrowed from RBI for the last 24 years, by not availing the ways & means advances, which many states including Kerala have done. States like Kerala, Punjab, AP etc are much poorer than Odisha and this fact is not known to many people. I expected atleast, you will not be one among them. Its possible that there are poor people in the state. Thats another matter. But the state is financially very strong and Sri. Patnaik was doing a lot of good things during the last 20 years to bring people out of poverty. He has been successful to a large extent in his efforts.

Just one disagreement.... India was actually a gold medal prospect in this Olympics. We also played really well. Germany (we beat them convincingly ik tokyo in the bronze medal match) won the semi but it was an extremely close match, and both teams played extremely well. It could have gone either way. Had we won, we could have beaten the Netherlands too since our record is quite even with them (both India and Netherlands play similar style so it would have been the best match of the tournament)
No way India was gold medal prospect. They were ranked 6th coming to olympics. What they have done very well is to concede less goals due to the new structured play brought in by Craig fullton(new coach). This has helped us winnalmost all the matches even though with a narrow margin.

I don’t think vakeel saw India vs Germany match, India was a far better side and India did play the POWER hockey that you mentioned.. if u get a chance go back and watch the match…they did push the Germans to the back foot in the entire 60 minutes.
India is basically not a highly competitive sporting country. Otherwise with the highest population in the world we should be much better at sports.
