- Hello friends.
Nice to meet you! My name is Hiroto Yamazaki. I'm Japanese.
🇯🇵Welcome to my channel🇯🇵
A proposal for a new fence using auxiliary locks🔒
There are many people who build their own fences on band saws that do not come with a fence.
I made mine inexpensively and super easy to build a fence.
All you need is some extra boards and an auxiliary lock.
It turned out to be a very high performance fence.
You should try to make one too🤗

Great idea. Great video. One thing, please. Use push sticks when working close to the saw blade. One wood kicks back and it can be painful to the end of the life. Fingers are priceless.
Thanks for the comment, Ark!
Thanks for worrying about me! Yes, fingertips are important.
I use a push stick!
Thanks.
@@craftbyhirotoyamazaki you may also think about not having your hands in the direction you are shooting your nailgun... They don't always go into the wood...
Nice video and fence 👍
Hi, jopperdepopper.
Thanks for your comment 🤗.
That's true too! Thanks for the advice😊I'll keep that in mind!
Thank you for pointing out the safety concerns
Really enjoyed this.
The “cross cut” addition to the jig and the way it makes that kind of work really simple is actually calling for more than “just” three applause.
👌👌👌
Hi I am Hiroto.
Thanks for your comment, soledude!
Three applause is enough.

Excellent idea. Very smart. Please make yourself a safe push stick for both your table saw and band saw. Ok. Love your ideas. Very smart. Stay safe my friend. 👍👍👍✌️🙏

You really need some push sticks for your sawing. Saves fingers. That being said, great video!

Very useful fence. I like your ingenuity and making something that will work. You have a great sense of humor. All I ask of you is to keep your fingers away from the saw blade by 13cm or more when cutting wood. A kick back from the saw blade will pull your fingers into the blade extremely fast and before you have any time to react. Keep your fingers intact!!!!!
Hi I am Hiroto.
Thanks @jarmstrong2843 for your comment!

Well to answer your question Yamazaki san, In the U.S. in general construction we use fractions of an inch; 1/16th, 1/8th, 3/16ths, 1/4 inch, 5/16ths, 3/8ths,7/16ths, 1/2 inch, 9/16ths, 5/8ths,11/16ths,3/4 inch,7/8ths,15/16ths, up to the first whole number 1 inch, then we continue counting up larger measurements, also whole numbers, 2 inches, 3 inches,4 inches, 5 inches, 6 inches,7 inches, 8 inches, 9 inches, 10 inches, 11 inches until we arrive at 12 inches which we also call one foot, in between each whole number we use the same fractional measurements. When the number 16 is used in the fraction it is pronounced sixteenths, when the number 8 is used in the fraction it is pronounced eighths. When written it is for example; 1/16 " or 1/8 ". When we arrive at the next 12-inch measurement, 24 inches this is also called two feet in between 12 inches and 24 inches typically the whole number and fractional measurement are used for example; 16 3/4 inches written that would be 16 3/4 " or 17 7/8ths is written 17 7/8". After that, it continues on up to higher foot measurements from there. Some production carpenters in general construction just use sequential inch measurements instead of feet and inches. In finish carpentry and furniture building, we also use 32nds written 1/32 ", 3/32" and up to higher fractional measurements, we also use 64ths written 1/64 ", 3/64, and up. The only time we typically used decimalized inches is in working drawing or estimating material than when we are actually working with the material we use feet and fractions of an inch. I think that the way you decided to do your dual measurements for the video is fine someone in the U.S. will just convert the decimal to a fraction and go to the nearest common dimensional equivalent or just use a metric tape measure.
Grain planer, thanks for letting me know!
I now understand millimeters and inches!

Simple and efficient. I love it! I have never seen those sliding window and door clamps; they won’t stop a criminal, but why let that stop creativity!! Subscribed. I plan on checking out some of your other videos later today
*edit* I had to stop mid video for a few hours. When I came back and saw the clamps were for securing to the table I realized it wouldn’t work for my saw, but the stop block? Freaking genius!
