One of the best lines ever from the Pink Floyd catalogue. Other lyrics that impacted many peoples thoughts are from the track ‘Echoes’ from their album ‘Meddle’ and they are ‘Strangers passing in the street, by chance two separate glances meet, and I am you and what I see is me’.

I concur, it’s definitely worth listening to the pulse version. The final solo is as long as Gilmour intended.
I personally find the entire piece of music deeply moving and struggle to hold back tears every time.
Watching, so as to see the incorporated light show and stage production, is a great idea, but I suggest watching it on the biggest screen possible with the rest of the lights out. It might sound like a silly idea, but it’s worth it. I saw the show in San Diego in April of 1994. It was truly an experience.
That being said, listening, just listening, is always a more profound experience for me.

Love to see Pink Floyd touch the new generation. And David Gilmore's guitar playing evokes such emotions. Understandable to get emotional over it. I've been emotional over them since high school in the mid 80's. If your interested in emotional music from them, you got to check out Shine on You Crazy Diamond. A lot of people connect with the concept of being comfortably numb by the many situations of life that we cannot control and a Childs viewpoint lost in the haze of adulthood, speaks to so many possible emotional situations. Combine that with the haunting arrangement and the feelings it evokes, you have a masterpiece that rightly means different things to different people. Nice honest reaction from a beautiful soul.

It was great to watch you discover this masterpiece. If you think listening is an experience you should try playing it! I play it at all of my gigs and one of the things I wish I'd have avoided in the last decade is that when I had to play and unplanned set with a bloke who is an amazing lead guitarist, I didn't know the chords behind the second solo!! So, we could only play up until that point but it was still unreal.

I will admit here, as I did elsewhere, that, as a guitarist, the first time I played this song from the heart, not as a tape recorder, I felt wrong for weeks afterwards. Something about this composition feels like out of control magic! I don't really play this anymore, it just unhinges me to play with no one near who I trust. 👼😎🌹

Much of the song comes from something that really happened one evening when, in order to allow Roger Waters to perform in Philadelphia, the doctor gave him a sedative for a severe stomach ache, which had probably caused by nerves. On the stage, his hands were numb and his vision blurred, but none of this derailed the crowd, who continued to dance and sing. And it was out of this that one of the main themes of The Wall came about: the disconnect between the public and the band. So take it easy on addiction and other theories. Sometime things are not as complicated as we make them.

Its normal for The Floyd to blow your mind
Dave Gilmour doesn't plug his guitar in to an amp, he plugs it in to his soul.

Enjoyed! Comfortably Numb: Part of a concept about a person featured in the 1979 album release; The Wall. As previously stated, once sick with fever as a child these feelings return when older and at times entering a state of delirium, where he felt detached from reality but now the show must go on.
Another great recording from the group demonstrating architecture and mood.
There is also an associated film of the conceptual story: The Wall (Goldcrest Films/MGM 1982) written by Roger Waters and directed by Alan Parker.
    Thank you for sharing.

This album, movie and stage show is phenomenal! This album, like most Floyd albums, is a concept album. This one is more of a story, semi biographical of the life of a boy/man/rockstar named PINK (or Pinky). Crazy deep, crazy good!!!

Great reaction. If you have an emotional response to this song then it is definitely worth exploring more pink floyd (FYI: they are a band, not a person). They specialise in making people really "feel" both lyrically and musically. I'm sure others will suggest more songs for you to react to. There are a lot of us pink floyd fans out there who love to see these reactions and would help to grow your channel.
