@@davee930 I first tried that about 20 years ago, after seeing a big article about it in the newspaper. I already had a copy of the movie & of course the album. It's nice someone's already made it easy by putting it together on TH-cam.
I've been listening to this song for a very long time. I'm now 75 and when they sing "And then one day you find ten years have got behind you" I automatically think 60 years have got behind me.
"Time" is a sneaky bastard of a song that just... betrays you right in the middle, settling into that nice imagery about watching the rain and killing time... and then suddenly 10 years of your life went up in smoke, and everything is about all the moves you didn't make, all the choices you blew, everything you haven't finished

You are being very precise and pragmatic but when you say "13 minutes" I assume it could 12 minutes on a good day and 14 on a bad one. I am afraid over my 67 years I have broken the law many times. Scrumping for Apples. Breaking the speed limit (I have even done around 74 in a 70 limit but stum ) returning library books back late or even not at all ( though I have ceased that practice as it's toooo risky). I even ate a few loose strawberries in Lidl once so I'm a bit of a lad, as you can , clearly, see....
Good to see the younger generation enjoys their songs as much as I did when I wore younger man's clothes...your reaction is enjoyable to see...you Rick girl...peace out!!!
the older you get this song starts to mean more.. This is one of Pink Floyd songs that they cock the arm back and give you a big punch in the gut. Gilmore know how to draw out the guitar and he is a GOD with the guitar.
I first heard Dark Side Of The Moon when I was 13. It was in 1975, two years after it was released. It was the otherness about it, the feeling that I had not heard it properly the first time because my mind had wandered off to places and events of the past. So I would listen to it again and the same thing would happen. Their music takes you on a personal journey. Same thing happens whenever I listen to them now and I'm 59. True artists. Real talent. I rate Rick Wright particularly for creating this hallucinogenic soundscape on the DSOTM and Wish You Were Here albums.
And that transitions straight into "The Great Gig in the Sky" with Vocals (no lyrics) by Clare Tory If "Time" was a wakeup call, the Great Gig is the explanation why😉

Sarah, I am completely new to your channel. I stopped to listen because I could see you are new to Pink Floyd and I always love to see that fresh awakening. That wonderful guitar is played by David Gilmour and much of the vocals here are him as well. The greatness is, of course, the whole package. The album this is on was my introduction to Pink Floyd in about 1972 and even though I was listening to it on a little clock radio I was blown away and a fan forever. I'm wondering if you have reacted to any of Angelina Jordan's work? If you enjoy being amazed and moved by music give her a try. At the time of this writing she is 15 and she has been singing and studying music since she was a toddler. Look for her winning Norway's got talent when she was 7 and 8 and go from there. Or start with her recent covers of just about anything. Just as with Pink Floyd you will get goosebumps and might even be moved to tears. You can also find her on Tick Tock with short little videos.
dont ever worry about pausing a song.. People who are here to see you react We are here to see what you think about the song.. We have heard the song hundreds of times. Feel free to pause it whenever you want because we want to know what you think and your reaction and what your feeling.
Although I have seen both halves of your full album review for DSOM, this is the first I have seen your earlier reactions to “Time” and “Great Gig In The Sky.” Both songs speak instrumentally to our souls, as you so aptly put it. In my comments about your full album reaction, I said that if you listened to this album only once a decade you will find that it affects you differently, with more urgency and importance as you age. But it is most true for these two songs IMO. I’ve been fortunate to have begun listening to DSOM when I was about 14 years old - and I’m now nearly 62. Over the past four yesrs “Time” has particularly affected me more than ever before. I have a cancer (multiple myeloma) that cannot be cured but can be slowed down, or arrested. After 3 relapses I got word late last week tnat I have once again beaten it, for now. That’s more ”Time” to be used well, to spend with my wife, who is my rock, my kids and their spouses, and most enjoyably with the four (will be 5 in 3 weeks) grandkids they have blessed us with. Physically, I can no longer do some of the things I took for granted my entire working life. Not only am I not easily bored, I am an avid cook, an obedient and optimistic patient, and spend as much time with our growing family as possible. Before the Pandemic, I had already been staying home for 18 months due to a severely compromised immune system, a remmnant of 145 weeks of chemo. I have had a stem cell transplant that worked for about a year. More recently, I was accepted for a CAR-T Cell Therapy clinical trial. It began 6,/25 and as of last week I am completely cancer free, again. Throughout this time of taking care of myself mentally and from the cancer treatments; to the Pandemic; to the horrible racially motivated killings of brown people by white policemen. I began learning about reaction videos and the people who make them. There are at least a dozen I listen to every week, many are every day. Younger people such as yourself, came along with their positivity and genuine tolerance for others and have been great examples to some of the rest of us. That certainly includes you and I thank you for your role in making my life, however long that will endure, and my outlook on life SO MUCH BETTER. Thank you for your role in that for me and others, Sarah. You did a beautiful job on both of these songs.

Quintessential perfect guitar solo: buildup, multi climax, resolution. Too many solos don't have any kind of structure like this. I understand why you got the chills, this song and album has induced many to have the same.
I have also been listening to PF for over 40 years now and until recently nothing could compare to PF. This is music to sit down and listen to without any distractions. It takes You on a mindblowing journey. For about six months ago I did discover (on TH-cam) a band called Nightwish. I fell helplessly down a rabbit hole and I haven't crawled up yet. It's a band that is classified as symphonic metal. Very melodic and bombastic with a female singer that can do and does many different styles like opera rock and even growl at times. She's out of this world. I now have two favorite bands and both gives me the perfect experience when listening. Since You feel the emotions that's pouring out of Gilmoures guitarr I can guarantee You that You will get gosebumps over your whole body listening to Nightwish. Here's a link to one of their songs called Ghost Love Score. It's 10 minute song that contains many different element and styles. And BTW I love Your reaction. It's so satisfying seeing a reactor get blown away by a band that is so close to my heart as PF. th-cam.com/video/JYjIlHWBAVo/w-d-xo.html

So refreshing to see someone react emotionally to this masterpiece! For the future may i suggest King Crimson "In the court of the Crimson King", (came out a few years before the dark side of the moon). Keep up the good work! ;)
They have been giving me chills for decades and will so to other music lovers for many centuries to come. Enjoy! Try Great Gig in the Sky, which comes right after Time and should be listened as a continuation of the vibe from Time. All of Dark Side Of The Moon should be listened to in one sitting for full effect. It will leave you in AWE! Also do Echoes, studio from Meddle first then the 2 part, live from Pompeii version. They will blow your mind. Happy listening. 🎸
and the transition into the quiet intro piano of Great Gig is also perfection... it always sounds so wrong and weird to hear it stopped at the end of Breathe (Reprise), it's like being left hanging on the edge of a cliff

You stopped at the perfect point. It's really two songs and you stopped right in the transition. Gilmour on the guitar is known more for his amazing tone than anything else. He can make a single note prettier than any other rock guitarist I can think of. The way they transition into this solos is always so perfect. In this one it's like an explosion (following the words "..starting gun") that startles you then just won't let go. Still amazing after (maybe) thousands of listens.
Dark Side of the Moon was the pivotal album for Pink Floyd. They went from being a very popular psychedelic/acid rock band to superstar status in 1973. That and its awesome music is why the prism and light beam album cover design is now a global icon. When you start on their 'Wish You Were Here' album consider starting at the beginning and do each song in order as it's also a concept album like DSotM, and best heard that way for the best experience. BTW, Wish You Were Here came out 2 years after DSotM. And when you're ready, explore their pre-Dark Side albums to see where they came from musically. ✌️😎

That would be really interesting for us.
Oh wow i didn't know that, i want to really understand the story behind all these wonderful songs! My next pink floyd reaction will be to one of the Album.
Think that the next song without cuts is “Great gig in the sky”. This is something impossible to do listening from TH-cam, but if you have the chance to listen the disc, do it for the LP at once. Only to enjoy it, not for reaction. It’s the true way to listen Dark side of the moon.
The only person whose guitar playing can give you chills is David Gilmour. You should listen to "Animals" and listen to the lyrics on that album, it's not just their music, as you know. Great album. Best wishes.

Again you REALLY REALLY have to listen to this album in one sitting from start to finish to truly get the deepness and story this album has to tell.
I definitely will!
Try "Shine on you Crazy diamond" and "Learn to Fly". David Gimours solo stuff like the entire On an Island is amazing as well.
awesome! thank you!
This passes the ultimate test . Uninterupted intro . Well done . No bling or eyelash assistance . Smart minimulist outfits and background . Were did it all go wrong ? I'm now looking for your Sinead O'Connor reaction .
This song scares me.. because i know it speaks the truth..& still i don't heed its words... One day i will learn, & that will be my last breath!...
Fancy reacting to Steve Vai - Whispering a Prayer (Live At The Astoria)
Much love from Kaitaia, far North of New Zeraland!
Of course! Thank you so much!
“Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way…”
As if the lyrics aren't enough therapeutic philosophy, David Gilmours guitar playing says as much as any lyric ever has
Need to watch “the dark side of oz” that will really blow your mind. It’s this album synced to wizard of oz some ppl believe it was intentional as the movie and album are in perfect sync
The stop you make at 7:20 is correct. Because this is where the song Time officially ends. The rest is a reprise of the song Breathe.
Oh thank you!

Seriously though, great invested reaction. I really enjoyed it. It doesn't hurt that you're fantastic to look at (in other words, beautiful ... not flirting, just a fact), and anyone can see that you're intelligent.
Otherwise ... [they're] #duuuuuh 😋
Anyhoot ... thanks, and stay safe and sound. 👍🤓✌️
Thank you! 😅
1. Pink Floyd Song for me (1978.) 🙂.
Love to see you reaction to Led Zepplins 'Since ive been loving you'
Gonna add it to the list, thank you 🙏😊
@@SarahDengler awesome Sarah thx
Just do yourself a HUGE favour and react to the entire Dark Side Of The Moon album. Do side A and then side B. It will literally change your life. Have the lyrics with you.
Sounds like a great idea! Thank you!
I agree totally! and repeat every once in a while - TIME has an effect ( or Affect ) especially.
My suggestion would be: react to your personal favorite music if you once did pink floyd and showed your emotions, ( everybody has that over pink floyd you will get tons of pink floyd proposals.Show us the the music , you are liken from your cultural background. That would be really interesting for us.
thank you! i will definitely do that😊
@@SarahDengler you would need a whole studio for this, too much dancing around when you listen to that!

Check out Hey You by Pink Floyd
Alright! Thank you! 🙏
You need to watch them do it live from the 1970's. Much more intense.
Listen to the album start to finish, they re singing about Sid the original LEED singer who lost his mind on LSD ???
Oh wow i didn't know that, i want to really understand the story behind all these wonderful songs! My next pink floyd reaction will be to one of the Album.
Think that the next song without cuts is “Great gig in the sky”.
This is something impossible to do listening from TH-cam, but if you have the chance to listen the disc, do it for the LP at once. Only to enjoy it, not for reaction. It’s the true way to listen Dark side of the moon.
That's right, i reacted to the dark side of the moon album just a couple of days ago!
You are so beatiful...hi from chile
Aww Thank you!
Te seguire
The only person whose guitar playing can give you chills is David Gilmour. You should listen to "Animals" and listen to the lyrics on that album, it's not just their music, as you know. Great album. Best wishes.
thank you so much! I will add it to the list!
Hey Sarah! Can u react to tool? Maybe start of with lateralus or 46 & 2?
Sure! I'll add them to the list, thank you 🙏
@@SarahDengler Thank you so much! It's such a journey and an experience! They are one of my favorite bands
SARAH!SARAH!SARAH! 😂😂😂😂 Hey,Sarah, I asked a German guy if he knew what the square root of 81 was, and he said no.
Ask him an easier question next time, like what's the square root of No lol
