People theorize it's because Ryan is a believer and Shane is not. If you were a supposed ghost, why would you bother trying to talk to someone who is just going to mock you? Ryan actually takes the time to try to listen and speak with them. It makes sense to me.

There is a believe that ghost see and sense people towards their energy cuz they consume energy. So when u are a believer, u'll be scared at this kinda places, thus it will give them energy to interact with u rather than ur skeptic friend who don't give them that "scared" energy
i know this is kind of a meme, but really i think the spirits are afraid of shane. or they just plain don't like him. like imagine you were just vibing somewhere and some giant lanky man comes through the door being loud and pestering his friend/you. i wouldn't wanna talk to him either. most ghosts are totally harmless and even somewhat shy, so a person like ryan who is gentle for the most part and open to a two way conversation is more likely to draw out responses from them.

I've watched this many times now, and I really appreciate Shane asking if Ryan is alright after seeing him truly scared. He would joke around a lot, rebuffing Ryan's claims most of the time, but seeing how really shaken Ryan was, he really tried to console Ryan and agreeing that Ryan might have encountered something

I think i’d want to stay because i was getting good evidence and what it was saying made me feel sympathetic towards it rather than scared when i was watching but i’m sure being there would be another world. It depends how i was feeling, i wasn’t criticising ryan for leaving.

No. I would have stayed but hearing "swap me" made me feel whatever it is wants to be swapped with a person to perhaps leave the place.
See, this is probably one of my favorite episodes. It's mainly because none of the ghosts here seem to have any kind of malicious intent, it's all very sad what happened to them, but the worst case scenario here is just a grumpy guy who'd rather you aren't there. But everyone there, in my mind seems fairly kind and welcoming. It's also one of the most active places, and to me, that shows that people don't need to be afraid of all ghosts.
