I think the trim brake at the top is so they don't have to worry about launching too fast and can safely just fling the train up there as fast as the magnets will get it. Dragster constantly adjusted the launch power to keep it from being too fast going over the tophat, and that led to issues like rollbacks (great fun, so I hear, but terrible for operations) and the system wigging out. With the trim they can launch as fast as they need to make sure it goes over, and just slow it down at the top if necessary. Just a theory.
Shocked they are testing. Normally a February to April for testing for many coasters before opening in spring. Zamperla and Cedar Fair KNOW so much is riding on this coaster delivering the goods. The "goods" being reliability and an exciting ride. Reliability being key to even deciding to redo the ride like this. Getting all of the bugs hopefully worked out well in advance of a traditional early May opening. They are not messing around with this coaster. So so much at stake given it's troubled history and the financial investment in this ride now for the redo. I bet this redo ran in the 12 to 14 million dollars range. Maybe more. If this coaster can run reliably a high percentage of the time, Zamperla now joins the discussion for other theme parks around the world to build something like this. They enter the conversation with the likes of Intamin and other big name coaster manufacturers and could be absolutely phenomenal for their future business.
CP wouldn't test in January or February, too cold. Wheels are not designed to run in that cold. Amazing their testing now, what a great Christmas gift from Tony.😊
I will have to watch it in person before I decide weather or not to ride it I was happy with the original top thrill dragster I don't know why the had to change it but I might still ride too say I did atleast i hope to go this summer anyway
Bro, the spike could be 50-70 ft shorter.... It's upsetting that CP wasted money on track and labor that will never be touched aside from a paintbrush. Wicked Twister Guilty AF too.... STOPPP!!! Build more coasters! It's like a skyscraper war with floors/antennas that are completely unused! This isn't hate on you. It's just silly on their part. Shipping unused parts.... LOL....
Cedar fair is sick of dealing with intemen. Their coaster and rides are very high maintenance to maintain and run. Also the top thrill cars. Don't look like the mok up. In the ad. They had showed the front cars. Where going to have a nose point. Not to be as flat front I see now. They new cars look very disappointing. Also the whole coaster was repainted. The new color are gray, white and red. I never trusted this coaster. When it opened a few years back. And I still don't. Specially after that lady got hurt on it on 2020 waiting in line. I also cant handle the g forces of this coaster. With a neurological disorder. I have. This us the only coaster I cant go on at cedar point abd fair
Hoping that the Six Flags merger will end Cedar Fair’s divorce with Intamin
Doubt it. Cedar Fair management is taking over the company and their beef with Intamin is more deeply rooted than Six Flags’.
Yeah because Intamin keeps ripping them off and don't seem to care if they hurt or kill their passengers.
Lol oof for KingDa Ka
hoping it's the nail in the coffin
And RMC
stoked for the ride, looks so much better than I was expecting it to.
Imagine if there was a holding brake on the spike 😵💫
I’m just happy that it’s coming back!!!

Nooooooo
I want 420 airtime pop.
Who is with me ha
I've had air time completely over the top hat and a roll back. GREAT TIMES!!!!!
TT2 will not disappoint, can't wait!!
First thought: “Baby, I’m ready to go!”
I think the trains will go up higher once people start riding and it gets warmer
Yes, the wheels need to be properly warm up and weight for speed.
I was sitting in school when I found out that they were testing

Great but having Cedar Point as my home park I can confirm wait lines for rides are already too long, this is gonna ruin my life lol
I’m probably going to end up paying an arm and a leg for that all season fastlane lol
@@cedarflagsthe exchange rate thru Canada's Wonderland saves you about 17%.

Colder season and no test dummies equals slower speeds

1:05 nice oreos
Just hoping the launches accelerate at at least 1 G.
I mean… Kingda Ka has a “panoramic brake” on the tophat. So it’s not gonna be all that nuts
ALL OF IT!
I don't think you understand G force very much. The second you are vertical. there should be no G's at all.
I meant the incline into the spike
Transitioning into wonderful Airtime...
I think YOU’RE the one who doesn’t know about G force lmao 🤣

Zero footage. Zero thumbs up
I can't believe they didn't repaint the supports yellow. It would still look really nice.
