Yea it is confusing but honestly if you can learn dimensional analysis you will do better in the long run esp if you have to take a chemistry course.

I have to create a lil story in my mind to remember these formulas. the cross multipilcation (or dimensional analysis) is useful too when you get into more complicated problems

Keep at it! There's SO many resources for math here on youtube and it's only a small part of nursing.
This is really helping me to better understand!!🙌🏽I start dosage calculations next on Monday , and I’ve been hearing horror stories from previous students about how hard pharmacology can be.
Will we always be able to use a calculator during school for dosage calculations? Or do we need to do this without a calculator to start with??

hey nurse B :) what about if the problem states chloromycetin 0.3 g IM has been ordered . The label reads 100 mg per mL . How much would the nurse give ?
I do like like mg/ml × mg/? But either way. So basically 250/5 × 200/? And cross cancel

Man I’m scared because we have to maintain a 90 or above in dosage EVERY QUATER to progress in the program. She covered 6 chapters today! And we have 2 other tests besides this one next week! Lord!
