    I scored a 93.8% on the math part of the TEAS and I 100% attribute that to your video series on TEAS math. I watched them all, took notes, and completed the practice test from your website. I was accepted into my nursing program and I'm going into my second semester this Fall. When it came time to learn dimensional analysis last Spring I knew exactly where to go for help! I scored a 100% on my first attempt on our dosage mastery exam! :) THANK YOU!

    I have been trying since August to master dimensional analysis. I am so grateful for these videos! I have my medication math competency test coming up on Monday. We have to get 100%. I honestly am not certain how many questions we will have on it at this point. I do know we get three attempts. After the third attempt if we do not pass it we are out of the program and will have to apply for me admittance the following year.

I won’t have to remediate but I will have to take another competency exam.

    So glad my classmate sent me the link to your video!! I do have a question, Im a bit confused on the first problem and the second though. The first we didn't multiply by 8, but by 3, and the second we multiplied by 6, How come? Sorry if the answer is right there maybe in my face lol but I'm a bit confused.

    • @bcraftmath
      @bcraftmath  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there! I'm glad you enjoy the videos! About your questions... Q8H means every 8 hours... 24 hours are in a day and when you divide 24 by 8, you get three. If a patient gets a medication every 8 hours, that is three times a day.
      Q4H = every 4 hours, which is 6 times a day
      Q12H = every 12 hours, which is 2 times a day
      Q6H = every 6 hours, which is 4 times a day
      Divide 24 by whatever number is in between the Q and H to figure out how many times per day. Hope that helps!

      Hey! I'm glad you are enjoying the videos! About your question... 2 tbsp is the same thing as 30 mL so you could technically say that. However, since the question specifically asked for mL, stick with 30 mL just to get the problem "correct." 😊

    Hi Brandon. For your next med dosage can you please do this:
    Your patient has been prescribed 10mg/minute SnoreNoMore IV as a continuous infusion.
    He weighs 185 pounds. SnoreNoMore comes in a 250ml bag containing 8 grams medication.
    You hung a new bag at 0700 and it is currently 1100. How many mg of SnoreNoMore has
    your patient received?
    Here you have to do: 4mg/1 * 10ml first to get 40mg per 10ml vial. This one is a bit tricky if I trying doing what you said to do, which is to start off by what they are asking for
