Just passed NCLEX last week, started my job as a Nurse yesterday. Looking forward to my first paycheck, I'm making almost 3x what I made as resident aide. Becoming a nurse changed my life bc it has given me confidence and a stable career where I feel like I'll be able to make a difference in people's lives.

Today was my 1st day of classes. (starting at a pre requisite level)
After becoming a nurse I see not only the financial stability that I CRAVE but fulfilling a goal I promised myself...20 years ago. I’ve made $$$ before...THIS time I’ll be able to KEEP it without the worries of being laid off without anything to fall back on. Like you said we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be in life. #prenursing (😂) #healer, #life changer, #motivator, #money maker, #aesthetics. (Forgive me as I encourage my damn SELF!) I graduate LPN school June 27th and I have a very interesting nursing journey. It’s unique to me and I will be sharing my story as well. Baby, you’re younger than me I think (I’m 28) but boy did you just light my fire 🔥 even more than it has been these last few months 😭😭 cuz baby I’m in a 10 month program 🥲. I lowkey been slacking off these last few weeks because I solidified my grades but seeing your valedictorian plaque just reminded me why I started off so strong 💪🏾 I had a goal . I’m almost there 😭😭 just gotta keep going 😮💨 thank youuuu and congratulations on everything you’ve accomplished this far in your career 🍾🥂💕🙏🏾

I want to be a nurse for the same reason u have nurse b ❤ one day i would like to have a family and be there for my kids physically and with certain jobs out here you gotta work 5 to 6 days to support your family.
I wanna be able to work 3 days and still have enough to feed myself , family and have that work / life balance which is crucial for me.

Your videos help so much. I'm so happy that God put you in a place so you can access people outside of bedside nursing too. I'm pre nursing and when I was studying for my hesi your videos were such a motivator. I passed with a 95 four days ago and you helped me. I believe that nursing will give me a more well rounded perspective and help me to be even more compassionate than I am as well. I believe that it will give me more focus in finding my niche as well as more stability. Loved this video especially the face that you touched on all the different aspects that nursing has changed you as a person

Nursing will change my life in a major financial way and creat a better sense of financial stability for me and my children. I am in nursing school for my lpn license and a single mother of 2 girls financially it is stressfule and difficult doing it on my own so becoming a nurse will definitely change that. It will also give me the ability to be a positive light to who i take care of and help the be positive in order for them to recover and i get the chance to see them recover and make an impact in the lives i come across. I am almost done with school (sept 27th) and gradute in Oct.
Are you a LPN now? How was the schooling and was it hard?
@@merlinel3855 yes I am a LPN currently and schooling was challenging and it pushed me and I was definitely out of my comfort zone. But overall if I could do it again I will because it made me more humble and appreciate my life and health so much more taking care of people who can't do for themselves like I can. The work felt heavy and never ending but I pushed through and remembered my reasons why I chose this career and it's the best decision ever. Nursing school helped me with building discipline and structure and staying focused as well as saying yes to my priorities and no to distractions. I grew in school and being in the field I've grown and learned so much in the time I have been a.nurse

@@merlinel3855 well from the income I made working as a CNA my income has increased alot more from my previous pay. Now I am able to save more and have more opportunities to do fun things with my kids I don't just make enough to pay bills but now I make enough to enjoy with my family and save for things I am working towards for my future such as a house. I could I done that back then too but it helps more financially now because I can save more this reaching my goals faster
