- Rather than address anything important, I have instead opted to MAKE THE MERCEDES SHINY. And very shiny it is, too. Please do forgive me on this one, I filmed and edited it but I have done my utmost to make sure it's good. I hope! Enjoy.

W210 was a fantastic car, one of the last proper mercs
The W210 is a rust bucket with American steel, not a patch on the real last well built mrecedes the W124
So treu The Last real Mercedes well The turboless engine a real magine that so more nicer thant The w124 that a cheap rust car.
What a difference these small projects make, and you've inspired me to go and hoover out my E Class.

I have a W210 myself so I approve of this content. Just wanted to say that the W/S button on the gear selector is Winter/Standard mode, there is no "Sport button". The Winter setting makes the car take off in 2nd gear and limits torque output for less wheel slipping.
Great to see affordable cars being worked on, with the tools and skills possessed by the enthusiastic home mechanic

Huge huge fan of the W210. I’ve owned 3 including a W210 E36 Amg that sadly succumbed to horrendous rust issues after being abandoned for 5 years. I like those wheels, they stand out. Still a huge fan of Monoblocs on an E class. Great series. Really enjoying it. Thanks

I don't understand any hate for those wheels. They're not all that blingy (a bit blingy, not too much) and they look far better-proportioned for the car than the originals. Nice mo'a, as I'm sure I'd say if I lived in Essex.

I had the idea of replacing the cigarette lighter in one of the fleet, and didn't.
That 12v socket is handy for power for inflating tyres in an emergency, mini hoovers, and so on.
So an adapter for USB is inserted when not in use for powering things - this too has a voltmeter.
Flexibility.
My vacuum and tyre compressor are both lithium.

It was my dads last car a 99 w210 after a lot of work and money the car is as good as new with 103k I love it

Good video, I tried one of those headlight kits on my slk , had reasonable results looks a lot better than it did
Bought my 2nd w210 facelift Elegance E200 a couple of weeks ago with 170k miles...a fantastic solid car that still turna heads and it came with driver and passenger fully adjustable electric memory seats and steering wheel ...polished the headlidhts , cleaned it thoroughly, changed the rusty Mercedes emblem and swapped the leather elegance auto gear shift with a matching original wooden one with chrome trim...all and all for less than 2.5 k euros

Small dents. Chipsaway can sort out much more than you think for a couple of hundred. I had a caved in rear wheel arch. I chanced it with them because otherwise it was an insurance job for a rear quarter. But the Chipsaway guy said no problem. He sorted it for £250. Great job.
Piece of advice/tip: never, ever neglect the very important automatic transmission/gearbox services.

Love this generation E class, personally if I’d bought what you got I wouldn’t paint it where would you stop, the buff and polish was just enough, they look better with that lived in look. I also love the C class from the same years. A few years ago I got for 2k a one owner 1997 C250 TD auto elegance in white with a blue interior and it was built like Berlin, the only problem ever had with it was the public thinking I was a taxi. Love bargain once coveted motors 👍

Scrubbed up well, that. Currently have a W124 230 estate on the fleet, which is sloooooow but oh-so-comfortable. Such a pleasure to do long journeys in.
Spacers... yeah. Even pukka ones are a pain to get right. I tried all the known makes on my beloved-but-long-gone A5, and I could never get rid of the vibration at 110 to 140kph.

I’m in mi mid 50s and Cars can be cool without being super high end. These Cars were high end when new anyway,So the Nasayers can do one.
