Thanks for the comments, we were pleasantly surprised they were on there and in good shape. Looking forward to getting it cleaned up and be able to properly drive it around. Stay tuned for the update video. Cheers!
Thanks for the comments Eric, we have been happy with the purchase thus far. We are still working on getting things cleaned up and seeing if there are any additional issues to address. Stay tuned for part 2, Cheers!
Hi this is really good, I'm about to buy this very model, but this one has a petrol engine and has been down for about 3yrs according to the owner. It's my very first car and I'm so hyped although I'm a little worried it may give me hell. Either ways it's the best shot I have ... please of there anymore things you'd love for me to check out before ignition I'd be glad
Congrats on your purchase Paul, sorry we haven't posted any follow up on this Mercedes project yet. The most important things to go through would be all the "liquids", fuel, coolant, oil. As you could tell in the first video, it's fairly easy to drain whatever bad gas is in the fuel tank. At that time you can check the fuel pump which is most likely bad. After replacing the fuel pump and filter you can move to the engine to drain the oil and add a new oil filter and fresh oil. It takes 7.4 quarts, so plan accordingly. Then you can flush the cooling system, ours ended up having a blocked thermostat housing. It might be a good idea to just add distilled water after the flush just in case you need to take things apart again. After these items are addressed, you can attempt to start the engine and see what happens. Good luck on your Mercedes project, let us know how it goes. Cheers!
Thanks for the comments, we assumed the fuel would be bad and need to be drained. Looking forward to getting it cleaned up and seeing how it turns out. Cheers!
Thanks for the comments, glad you are liking the Benz. Stay tuned for the update video where we get it looking new again and get to drive it around. Cheers!
@@BradleysGarage we have same car with over 480km its 1996 same engine and trans just painted and seat and dashboard restored everything else original ,very strong german built cars
Thanks for sharing, we hear that this motor is one of the nest MBZ ever made. Looking forward to finish getting it cleaned up and addressing a few small items. Then we will be able to drive it and really see how things are working. Cheers!
u were probably not born when the w210 was launched so you'll never understand why Mercedes choose some certain boxy looks and trendy tech at that time. You GEN-Z's are too modern, and you will never understand why older cars will always be better than new models
Thanks for the compliment Moses, I was actually around 20 years old when the W210 came out. Been fans of Euro cars my entire life. We are constantly adding to the collection as well, just like this E320 here. Can't wait to finish it up and start driving out around. Cheers!
Always nice to see BBS on Mercedes!
