Beautiful car! I own a 2008 W211 E320 V6 Diesel Bluetec and trully love the car, these cars are from an era where Mercedes was qaulity.

I have a 2000 CLK320 with the same powertrain. These cars are surprisingly reliable and long lasting if they've been properly maintained.

Buying a used Benz and saving thousands on depresiation and DIY repairs saves a lot more. Do it smart and these cars can be a better deal than a new boring modern car.

Agreed with you. I recently ourchased my Dad's 2008 W211 E320 V6 Diesel Bluetec, and i absolutelly love the car,it's built so well and absolute tank. I would rather maintain this car than purchase something new, it's cheap plastics and soulless touchscreens lol

The w210s is an underestimated series. I live in a European country & drive a 2000 E200 Kompressor Automatic for the last 2 years which I also bought with 80.000km. The car has been a dream to drive. So smooth, relaxing and well built. In my country there are no rust issues due to the weather so I dont have to mind with such things. As you said as long as you maintain it properly there will be no actual problems. Prior to my w210 I owned for 11 years a w202 C180 which I sold with 235.000km. Had 0 problems but 1 rule and that is to change the oil & filter every 5.000km. I never followed the manufacturers specifications about the periods of the services as the oil being the heart & soul of the engine.

I just bought a 19 year old S430 with 186000 on it and it drives beautiful. I'm like you, I fell in love with it as well. Only had it for about 3 weeks. Good luck with yours

01:10 -- The first thing people should be worried about is the automatic transmission. In winter climates, the second thing people should be worried about is rear sub-frame rust.

I love w210. One of the best MB ever made. I have owned an E200 Kompressor for 4 years now and hope to keep it for long.
    Well done Bro.

By dumb luck, I bought an E320 4MATIC with 48,000 miles on it 12 years ago, now 101,000 miles. It's a perfect interstate cruiser. Set the cruise control at 79 mph and command the road silently at 28,000 rpm. I've never driven a car that hugs the road like four wheel drive. The V-6 engine still delivers torque at 80 mph in 5th gear. The car does everything well. It's not too big in the cities and not too small on the highways.

I love old Mercedes - I have had 7 of them - found them all to be inexpensive to own and drive. Just a note - 91 gas and 87 gas have exactly the same amount of energy. Also, Honda, Toyota, Mazda engines all appreciate modern synthetic oils. - the same oils Mercedes recommends - Mobil 1, Valvoline, Pennzoil - not expensive - available at Walmart.

I've had that model. There is nothing cheap about owning a w210 Mercedes. (And pretty much any old Mercedes). It's just too old. Too many things to replace and repair. Higher parts, higher German car repair bills, higher premium gas. And even when maintained, it's still breaking down because of the age. I've been through all of this. You will save a ton of money by getting something a lot newer with very low miles. This has been my experience.

That's not true. We that own such can turn spanners, and found out that the modern ones can bankrupt you and are not near as reliable as the old ones

Find a good local specialist, not main dealer, to look after the car. Low depreciation compared to 4 figures annually for a newer car, no repayments or interest and the security and solidity of a MB as well as the pleasure of driving something special. I've had a 202 series 1.8 petrol C class, very reliable and economical, bought at about 70k miles and put another 70k on. My last car was a 204 series C class 200 diesel, lovely car, had 70mpg on a run, long time back had a 123 series 280CE coupe as a weekend car when had a company car.
