this is by far the best advice on how to learn to skip a bait that I have found so far thank you very much for the tip it has helped me a lot on my skipping ability.
I don't know why nobody has used the technique you just used, but it sounds like an absolutely stellar idea. Thank you very much for taking the time for the tape trick.
The tape trick will be a life saver. I was trying to skip a jig for the first time the other day and it was pretty frustrating. Bird nests for days. Going to try this next time I go out!
I think this may jigs as a whole but idk. But when would you use a black and blue jig(chatterbait, flipping/pitching jig, swim jig, etc.) with a white trailer? I have a black and blue zman original in 3/8oz and I'm still really new to jigs as a whole and wanted to know when you would choose a white trailer for black and blue jigs? And then a different color for green pumpkin jigs and white.
I'm not a pro bass fisherman, but usually, it comes around to just experimenting. Usually, I would stick with the color of my jig to keep it simple but a combo such as black and blue with a green pumpkin trailer also works in different situations.
I'm suffering from post traumatic marriage syndrome...I get anxiety every time 😢I try so I'm going to try the tape thing...I got video of me skipping but its not accurate
So you are saying to me that I can skip a hey Google bass jig and you're tight spots I know it ain't going to be that easy but I can keep working on it then time comes and I will get better at it
Thanks a lot : what a great video ! I agree with AKA-lotto : training on flat floor, is one of the best advice I've ever seen ! Would you mind telling me if the position of the jig's eyelet matters ? indeed, yours (and a lot of skipping jigs too) are flat positionned, mine are in line (like this : www.molix.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Kento-Jig_105-Black-Purple-1.jpg )

Thanks brother great video...
Thank you, I do try…
Does anyone know why when I cast my bait caster and try to skip it the line snaps off
Hmm, might be a knick in your guides… take a q-tip and go over all the guides, it will catch the cotton and show you where the knick is
Great tip! I'm still learning using the jig, this will definitely help.
Good deal!!
Nice vid as always. Haha. He said bush!

Practice does not make perfect. If u practice wrong, how’s it going to be perfect? The correct saying is “perfect practice makes perfect”.

I don’t think that matters for skipping, some prefer either way to prevent from hanging up in structure… I don’t see a difference 👍🏼
@@DudeLetsFish thanks a lot : so now to progress, let's train (in France, 6 long weeks to wait before lures-fishing again) 😅
