Great vid as always Sotek. I think I'd like to consider Sotek an old one, maybe when chaos appeared and the portals stopped working the old ones sent a distress signal off and thousands of years later through conventional travel Sotek arrived with the comet? Just a thought. My vote goes for the Dwarf pantheon!
I think Sotek is the ultimate weapon given by the old ones to the Lizardmen to fight the chaos gods. They simply decided tofight fire with fire and thus created their own chaos entity to exterminate all other chaos entities. Sotek has a lot in common with Malal (Malice, the renegated god), who is the bitter enemy of all chaos gods despite being a chaos god himself.

Wish there was more info about giants. In the gotrek and felix novel "Giantslayer" a chaos sorcerer enthralled a giant into thinking the sorcerer was an old one. The sorcerer himself took immense satisfaction from being called "Ancient One".
and now the Lizardmen themselfs has become deamons of order and are now able to acctually really be able to defeat chaos
i hope we get to see some greater deamons of sotek. like giant serpent like lizardmen, maybe nagas
well if they ahde new models i fear we´d see lizardmen in power armor and the word "storm" Or "star" all over it. god damn age of sigmar

Countless hours spent playing Rome 1 seared this song into my mind and flashbacks of destroying the greeks and and gauls came flooding back. this was my first TW game and i was hooked after 10 minutes of playing!

Is there any information on the Pre Old One races? You mentioned Dragon Ogres in another video, and you mentioned orks here and dragons are another, were there any other races other than these?
Ha, the picture at 8:20 came from Heroes of Might and Magic 5, which ripped so much stuff from Warhammer. They even had to change some units to avoid a lawsuit.

Why not just use the Lizardmen army to destroy the Chaos gods? Lizardmen feel nothing so they're pretty much perfect warriors against chaos.

Could it not be possible that the Old Ones purposely destroyed their portals to stop the Chaos Gods from physically entering the realm and slaughtering their creations? Also couldn't the war in the Heavens still be raging between Chaos and the Old Ones? That's why they haven't been able to recreate the portals, etc.
or they are being block from contacting to mortal realm by chaos god or they are taking other name to contact to mortal realm to avoid chaos god personal assault on specific race lead to their completely doom.
If iam a chaos god even with the smallest hint of being like old one try to interfere with my prey, iam going to destroy that hint and everyone around that hint as fast as possible.

+Armand Juignet Its from either Rome 1 or Medieval II: Total war OST. Its one of the bonus tracks sung by the composers wife, I forget which game had this specific track, probably MED.
