Yea, that is a bit concerning that is only going to cost them money in the long run. I wrote that up in the review of my draft about the gauages and packaging. That said even talked with them one on one about it. Hmmmm.. Will see how it shoots.
My Panthera 700 arrived with the forend bent up and gouging into the shroud. FX doesn’t pack these things very well…and the rail seems as flimsy as the gauges. I learned my lesson on buying into the media hype and racing to get one of the first off the line.
Also, my recommendation is you should take at least 20 shots: 4 groups, 5 shots in each group. The liner may lead foul fast and then the accuracy goes south. I am counting on you to deliver a detailed report.
Yea, and to be honest the rifle is no use to me fouling easily. My daystates have had several rounds through them all types of slugs and shoot great. We will see, i will treat nice just to see if it performs at any level with any slug.
That sucks man it gets frustrating especially when you have an issue with your new gun I still have a leak from the first reg on my fx m3 I had to order a first stage huma reg so I'm waiting on that thanks for sharing bsafe buddy 👍
Glad you have your Panthera back! I'm guessing that the loose mag you had the first time around contributed to the poor groups. My mag fits snuggly. Surprised that you didn't check the fit and that the o-ring is present. I knocked the o-ring off of my Crown mag (same mag as the Panthera with a thicker lid) by pushing it in cockeyed, it's glued in now :) Suspect that the way the mag is stored, wedged in the foam liner could pull the o-ring out as well. You know, for $2k plus, I expect a flawless product. Really disappointed in FX and now I'm on the fence about buying one of these. If they don't care enough to correct the packaging to prevent damage to the gauges, it tells me they don't care much at all. Not acceptable!!!
I bent my gauge too when I was fixing the leak at the gauge. What I did was take a pair of plyers and bend it back in shape. You have to pull off the plastic cover first. It`s an easy fix. The gauges are made of vary thin metal. that is why they bend so easy.
Wow only yesterday you released the update. I just saw the first video 10 minutes ago... they REALLY need to fix the gauge problem. Make them smaller or add more foam in the case.
I don't think they have allowed for the fact that the guages are fitted at an angle, if they had been fitted square on they would not have received that damage, or if they had built a new custom sized case for the Panthera again it would not have got damaged!! IMA FX have really dropped the ball here, my Impact case is faultless in the way it protects my rifle!!!
Yep you nailed it. They did not think about those gauges. My impacts were totally surrounded by protective foam and a case. That being said, on the second return they did nothing to protect it being sent to me and another damaged gauge. ohh well.

Gauge smashed sux. What I don't understand is why as a slug gun there is no pin probe?? Shot my Panthera yesterday. .217 Javelins 40 grain at 1000fps in substantial wind got 3 touching at 100 yards. I like it more than my EPOCH so far.

That's a kick in the cock if you ask me, what the hell. Even if the gauge works, that's not what you paid for, or returned it for, or should be taunted with Apon return. I recently Purchased a American Air Arms Evol 15" carbine, and had a slow leak that took me longer than I'd like to admit to figure out, but once I did, I made a short video proving the leak was coming from the reg gauge itself, and the service department showed the Owner, who agreed with my assessment, and called Airguns of Arizona themselves and had them send me a replacement and then contacted me back saying I was being taken care of. Not only that, they responded to every email I sent them as I was tuning the internal regulator to help find a good pressure for a specific weight slug, I couldn't believe it. Couldn't be happier with the way that went. If your reg gauge is leaking, since it's in the plenum, which is the air supply reserved for you actual shot, it will cause drastic deviation as you regulator will be trying to do it's thing while the gauge is leaking and fighting each other. I love this Evol, but these are two very different guns, but my point is, things fail, and I was very happy with the way I was treated. What just happened to you, would make me not even want to talk to them again, maybe that's what they want, but not cool if you ask me.
FX used to sell their guns in really great cases with precision cut out Shadow foam, nowadays their cases are garbage and in a lot of cases now, no case at all, just a cardboard box with two thin sheets of egg foam 👎🏽

Ahh the repair department did not send the bad liner with the rifle. They just replaced it and sent the rifle back.
