This guy was brilliant! Miss you George😔
I wish this guy could have been here today. He truly is one of my favorite people of all time.
George Carlin really descended into some dark recesses of cynicism as he got older.... and all of it fully justified. The poor SOB is gone now but his dire warning to the American people is more important now than ever. Only in America does it take a talented comedian with balls big enough to hold council with the truth in front of millions.
Recesses of cynicism are usually profound Truths. Why ,has America and Americans stayed so numb.
He seems like talking about right now ! The show is from 12 years ago , RIP
The video is from 12 years ago. The show is from 20 years ago
Ending 2021 and this man spoke the truth! Bless you George Carlin.
everyone in 2021 needs to hear this
i liked this guy when i was in my twenties, because i thought that he was funny.
many years later, i see him more as tuned the fuck in.
our lives are a lie.
They thought they where going to a comedy show.
What a legend! He went out like boss!!!!
I've been trying to tell people this for many years, but most just don't believe me. This information is covered in several documentaries. Sadly most American's would much rather live in complete ignorance, than know what Carlin was saying here. The importance of this talk can't be overstated enough. Thanks.
tell me those documentaries
They were propagandized that owning stuff showed your worth.
@@lexyswope It is completely natural they didn’t need to be told. People want rich mates to ensure the survival of them and their offsprings. The only thing they don’t understand is that this kind of consumerism is exactly whats going to kill them and our children. Increasing GDP is the number one cause of humanity’s problems. Yet everyone wants more, because the ones with the most money are the last to suffer the consequences. Its a game of chicken, and everyone loses by default. The only thing that changes is the timestamp on your grave. That’s all we are fighting for.
They refuse to wake up to reality because they know there life's are destroyed
Comfortable lies vs uncomfortable truth
The fact that this video has 500k views and a sh*tty tiktok will get 100 million views, tells a lot about future, it's not gonna change
This still holds true today.
Prophetic . And nobody seems to notice ..... and nobody seems to care...
I do. Problem is most people don't, they're too glued to the idiot box.
@@kendallchristoun You mean social media, the new idiot box.
This is a video clip that belongs in a museum as well as on TH-cam.
Worthy of the Library of Congress.
There are 3 types of "people" out there
1. LIBERAL
2.CONSERVATIVE
3. INTELLIGENT
When the audience goes from laughing to silence to just clapping, you know it's 100% facts being told.
A man ahead of his time. Truly missed
Man, this guy was well ahead of his time... i just hope his words help to wake the people up right now
George: "They don't care about you."
Audience: (claps) "WAHOO!!!!"
Smh. Sad but true
It's an American thing, derived from a culture heavily laced with Hollywood buffoonery. In the rest of the world, it'd seem weird if you started clapping & yelling when being given advice
Slaves clapping for there death
And his words have come so true during this Covid era
1,250 miles ahead of his time, God I miss this man
The more people who wake up to this……..the quicker we can get our country back.
Lol. Yeah okay. You can’t get “back” what you never had in the first place.
I doubt that, our country will never come out of this
I’m curious bo…what makes you think we can?
@@sunnybizzle2971 we've got em outnumbered by a monolithic amount. We have the power, they do not.

Absolutely brilliant facts. Same in UK.
Double this in Canada.

Such profound, eloquent and, yet, savage, truth. How did we allow ourselves to get to this stage?
Our society now is very retarded now without him

Because bored people don't say no
Ignorance, disinterest in the well being of our society, and greed on the individual and corporate level my friend
Strange as it is, George didn’t end his career as a comedian, he became more of a speaker, with the occasional laugh.
The sad fact is he sitting there telling people how they're getting screwed and they're laughing at him about it but in real life you still have people so naive that they don't believe nothing like this could ever happen in the USA
They're just ignorant fools that are destroying themselves
THAT GUY WAS A GENIUS ONLY FOUND HIM 3 YEARS AGO
GEORGE YOU WERE GREAT
R.I.P MY HERO
there hasn’t been any decent politicians around this country in over 200 years !
Just 200?! It’s been longer than that. The politicians who started this country weren’t great either
There not even honest either!
I have watched this all over youtube every day for years ... Perfection
You were a scholar and philosopher George. Brilliant.
Modern day philosopher. Diamond in the rough
George Carlin and Richard Pryor playing chess with god
This is profoundly true... I wish Carlin was around today to hear his take on our dystopia...
George and Dave Chappelle are a whole other level of comedic genius!! George didn't pull any punches and said it like it is. Much respect to him and Dave 👍🤟👏
I was about to make the same comment! George and Dave Chappell are both highly intelligent. The only difference is Dave got away from it before the owners ruined his career. Bill Burr is a close 3rd in intelligence. He also thinks outside the box.
@@HarpazoReady2022 Dave Chappell died long ago, what you see now is a clone

You know will this piece go down in history as one of the greatest ever..so many years later and the quote( its a big club and you aint in it) is more popular now in 2021 than when it was released so many years ago, it stuck, well said george R.I.P

this is as relevant today as it was then. thank you Mr Carlin. you called it
This is not comic bit. This is a sermon with a humorous tone.
I love you George Carlin. Wish you were still alive.
Sermon of truth by pastor George
Come back to this intermittently, to keep my 🔥
One of the good things about the net is that it preserves gems like this (so far) for anyone to see. I have little doubt this Orwellian age will allow it much longer so enjoy it while you can. Be happy with what you got, cuz it ain’t getting any fuckin’ better.
This should play at the entrance to the voting booths! A vote agreeing with the establishment and mainstream news,is a vote against your best interests!
Brilliant truth telling with a humorous twist
When people are so disconnected from reality by the Media & dumbed down public education that the only successful way to get a message through is from a comedy stage. I don't entirely blame the problem on willingly ignorant Americans. I still see that we have people who are hardworking, & are doing their best to pay their taxes & obey the laws of the land. We have all been lied to & exploited practically from birth- - so the blame for that & the hatred for that DOES NOT go to the duped & the exploited, it goes to these megalomaniac, self-appointed demi-gods we call the rich & powerful; the 1-5% Elite
