Thanks for all the feedback regarding the pronounciation of Leif Eriksson's name. I wrongly believed that it was pronounced the same as 'Life'. However, after doing some research on this Scandinavian name, I realize the pronounciation should be 'Laif', with the 'ai' being pronounced the same as in the word 'pain'. Let's hope I will get it right in the 2nd season.

Thought this was a boring series, so I only wanted to watch the recap. It just seems drawn out and boring of a series, so glad I didn't watch the whoel thing; time is precious. I am 'ok' with feminism. However I think the female parts are fake and typical. Why is there a black woman anywhere here and as a leader? Why does the female get to do her rather stupid adventure which causes more issues? I suppose this is what they mean by Netflix being 'woke'.
I am a big fan of 'medieval' or 'fantasy' type of adventure films like this, and spinoffs of historical evnts. However, I find the vikings exaggeration to be fake and boring. Loosely based on true events, but with the usual totally fake agendas.
