Makers may re-make thousands of show on Ragnar or Viking but the character Ragnar Lothbrok won't be that intimidating in any other face than that of Travis!
Lot of work made us love the character, the acting is one side of it, the framing, the SFX, the music, the vfx, i remember when first i began watching, the eyes color changing was a powerfull way to make you feel and anticipate the spiret of ragnar, and the up comming events. The show is made for Ragnar character no doubt.
The acting, and portrayal of Ragnar in "Vikings", and the portrayal of Alfred in "the Last Kingdom", brought these legendary men to life, in the modern age. Two breathtaking performances that we could see, with our own eyes, and could feel within our own hearts. No, it was not entirely historically accurate, but the spirit of these two legends were reborn into this world through Travis Fimmel in Vikings, and David Dawson in the Last Kingdom. There are some things that few men in this world are born to do. King Ragnar, and King Alfred were destined for fame, and glory in their time, just as much as these two amazing actors were fated to depict them to us, and bring their legend to life, on the screen before us. This work, I hope they both consider, to be their masterpiece. 🙏
I like this selection. Emotions, reflection, milestones and progression of personality... actually important stuff and not just bunch of moment when he screams like a madman and hurt other people.
After the series i acquired some of Ragnar's personalities including talking, acting and walking... Viking had a huge impact on me never loved a series like i did for this one
You could tell that when Bjorn “changed his mind” and Lagertha and Ragnar looked at each other, that they knew their little boy was broken. At that point Lagertha did not want to leave, but her head was telling her that the pain she was feeling was not right and she had to do this for her boy because he had changed his mind. At that point, Lagertha and Ragnar were still in love. But watching her leave turned Ragnar into a monster. He truly lost himself as well as Lagertha lost her peace, while Bjorn was still pushing on as he didn’t know what was going on and how his life was going to change drastically. Not only did the story begin here for Ragnar but it also ended. Stay humble

The moment where Ragnar says that maybe they will never see each other because one will go to Heaven and the other to Valhalla because the Christian God forbids murder (even though Ragnar doesn't believe in gods or at least has doubts) just breaks my heart. Ragnar in the series is a true atheist and a true believer at the same time. Like me.
