What is unique right at the door once Evelyn put on the stove is that she said what temperature you should put the stove on if you had a fire burner or a electric burner. Very GOOD. Thank you. GO PUERTO RICO!! GOD BLESS
I'm Puerto Rican but my older sisters would always help mommy and would send me off to play with my dolls. I regretted never learning but by watching you i have been able to cook like my tata and my mom ( who is now older) Thank you Evelyn, muchas gracias 😘
I just cooked this beefstew and it came out delicious, but then again I also loved your Arroz con dulce, which came out fantastic. I love your recipes they are soo PuertoRican. Gracias
Thank you for making these videos in english too. My daughters are Puerto Rican but are 3rd generation and don't really speak spanish that well. But boy oh boy do they love Puerto Rican food!!! Now that they are grown and out of the house they can look up your videos and cook whatever they feel like eating for themselves.
I made it again today.. I also Like that you tell the viewers what temperature you put the food at through out the cooking process.. that also makes it easier to make.. Thank you.. DIOS TE BENDIGA.. Gracias
This recipe is excellent. This is the good taste I was looking for all these years, but could not achieve it. Thank you for sharing this recipe with your channel. I made it this morning, not sure if any will be left when my wife gets home at 5PM.
Looks so DELISH.....and I make some good stew. My other half goes crazy for it! I do not use no corn starch or all purpose flower to thicken the sauce what so ever. Potatoes have enough starch in them to make a sauce. I put Carrots, Beef chunks, onions, celery, potatoes, Whatever I can find in the fridge before it goes bad. I throw it all in a pot and it cooks for over like 2 hours....but I mess with the heat setting. I go high then low then low then high and so on. My potatoes never like mash up in the sauce. I don't sauté either. I just take my pot out and throw all the crap right in. HAHAHAHA....mom yelled at me once and I said WHAT? Its the way I do it....she goes No that's not how you do it.....I said Yea wait till you taste it. She always told me you boil the meat then put the potatoes in later. Yea Yea I said. So when I made dinner.....she ate TWICE. GO FIGURE! LOL But I am a very season person.....meaning like I can sprinkle different types of seasoning just by eyeball and it comes out so good. NEVER SALTY because if it came out salty....I would throw the whole plate in the garbage!
We gotta start adding beans more (or at minimum sopa rice o more liquid stew type of sides) to rice in some way, because if you eat it alone too much it's like eating too much bread. Easy to gain weight, especially if your other meals during the day are bread, processed food/ fast food, etc. Beans make the rice a full protein. I started also making more brown rice and just putting the same ingredients afterwards. I want to start cooking with the black rice also.
Great idea with the potatoes instead of flour. i'm going to try it. the noodles and the carne guisada looks great! thumbs up evelyn. thats my sister's name too. I am subscribing to your amazing channel. thanks
I do not see the ingredients below. I just wrote them down. I do recommend watching the video first before trying to make it. Did you cook for 30 minutes add the second 3 portatoes and lower to medium (or #5) and then cook another 45 minutes?
MY MOTHER WAS A EXCELLANT COOK...BUT IS GONE NOW...WITH YOUR VIDEOS I CAN EAT THE GREAT DISHES I GREW UP WITH...THANKS... =)
