His whisking is fine. Different teaceremony schools in Japan whisk matcha differently. Thick foam layers are common for the Urasenke school and are widely popular but the Omotesenke school I follow, for example, teaches less foam and a little "lake" without any. The most important thing is no clumps
how much is it? bcs i think cheaper matcha needs lot of powder for it to have that bitter matcha taste, bcs i had culinary grade matcha, i atleast need 2tbs of matcha powder for it to be strong (its 4am here, i haven't sleep all daylong psrdon me if my grammar is sucks af)
@UCW7W4YBMMlNupAQk42Ot0KA you bought a culinary grade matcha and which is generally used for cooking (where you need a lot of it) or mixed drinks. It may still be pleasant to drink straight if you enjoy its taste profile. It's different from the first harvest “ceremonial” grade. Also to note, matcha oxidizes real fast, you will notice the taste changing over time, if you use a big bag little by little to make drinks over weeks/months.
Just buy them separately, though for the matcha I recommend getting the good stuff. Not just a ceremonial marketing term. MK’s Isuzu matcha is a good start for the price.
Where did you get your bowl?
For some odd reason seeing the length process pisses me off. And TH-cam thinks I'm interested in that.

Hey this might be a stupid question but why do you need to soften the bristles first? 💚
To preventing it from breaking because it’s so thin and fragile
Tbh, his whisking Isn’t really on point he got too little foam and too big air bubbles

@@karenn.8810 he said nice layer of foam. It’s fine but not that nice
Do you really need to make it foamy before drinking it as concentrated drink?
@@shenuevo depends on preference. If u practice urasenke it is necessary.
Can i use spoon?
how long do you soak the bamboo wisk for?
Until the whisk slightly expands. You can use the whisk when the central bristles loosen up
I really like tea but I'm purposely trying to avoid matcha as it's intricacies in preparation would make me a bit obsessive 😂.
I just bought a huge bag of matcha at Ross and I see videos of people using so little, is these one more concentrated ?

I use two spoon of Matcha, but sometimes I put too much and it shows in the bitterness.
All depends of quality, your personal taste.

Wow!
Is there some sort of set that you can get that has all this along with the ceremonial matcha?

how many grams of matcha powder?
It really depends on the use. For the tea ceremony,, maybe a gram. When I'm making my morning matcha latte, five grams.
It’s all in the list
Do we have be cleaning the bamboo whisk
Usually a good rinse should be good! (No need for soap or anything)
Place the whiskey back in the hot water. Give it a swirl.

Some traditions are beautiful, some are just pointless
This tradition actually makes a lot of sense. Some aspects might be pointless but overall there are good parts of a tea ceremony.
This is one of the beautiful ones;)
