Great review. I’ve had my Faro Yellow GTLine since March and I love it, I’ve driven many cars in my time and the 208 is slowly proving itself to be one of the best I’ve ever owned. Peugeot are showing up the opposition these days.
Thank you for your kind comment. It's truly a great car, i bought a Leon in March too, wish i went for one of these instead. But it's my partners car, so i get to drive it occasionally 😂🤷🏻♂️
Had my blue gt line 130 for nearly two months now. Absolutely love it, best car I've had! Its no slouch but just needs a bit more ooomph, previous car was a 208 gti Prestige!
Got a 2016 gtline 1.2 turbo, stage 1 remap and ram air induction kit, standard power, 108 bhp and 151 ibft, after tune, 160 bhp, 220 ibft. She goes and you get the turbo noises from the waste gate. 👍
Luckily the 2021 update for the 208 includes GT and GT PREMIUM models (the GT Line is no more) - the latter of which now comes with heated alcantara seats, keyless entry & adaptive cruise control as standard as well as darker/black alloy wheels. I have just ordered a GT Premium in Faro Yellow and I can't wait to own it!
The GT Premium is just a re named GT which also had heated seats and keyless entry etc so you aren’t getting any more than was one the previously named version. Anyway, I love mine so I’m sure you’ll enjoy.
@@NH-bz9jv The previous GT was electric only which is no good for me at the moment with the naff infrastructure where I live. I'm really glad Peugeot have now made the GT version in petrol - because I need the heated seats for lower back issues & you couldn't have them on the earlier GT Line versions. Glad you're enjoying your 208. Mine was built on March 15th and should be at the dealership early/mid April. Really looking forward to taking delivery. To me - it's the best looking B segment car out there & was terrific fun on my test drive! It's always the worst part - the waiting!
@@rayandersoncars Thanx pal am gonna test one very soon Of all the hot hatches of the 80's The 205 GTi is only one I never owned so maybe now the time is right 😁
The black one looks like a different car because you don't have the black line joining the rear lights, but looks meaner. I'm getting one in grey, so the wheel surrounds are less obvious which I like.
Yeah, i wanted to go for black for the meanness of it, but i am glad we went for the yellow. They grey looks smart, great choice. They all look weird in non gt line spec, without the arch extensions, in my opinion 🤷🏻♂️
I had a 100 hp Allure manual with a 6 speed gearbox. Just sold it for financial reasons, i will buy another 208 Allure 100hp, but defo withe the EAT8 box, the 6 speed manual box is awful, just doesn’t work with the 100hp engine at all, much too high geared for the power of the engine. And the gear stick travel is too vague and too far between gears. Otherwise its a lovely car, totally agree with you about rear view mirror placement and size, and B pillar blind spot was awkward too. Great video. I do love the yellow model you have, i had the red, which is my favourite car colour, but a pig to clean, shows everything.
The main problem with the 1.2 Puretech is the wet belt which is bathed in oil and which disintegrates (crumbles) on contact with this oil to clog the lubrication circuit (notably the strainer, resulting in loss of pressure and poor lubrication). of the engine which breaks down). Many owners have been victims of this aberrant conception!
Thank you for the overview. Few oddities that seem to make no sense to me with the design choices. Paddle shifters don't rotate with the wheel? Also the automatic has no "auto hold" function to keep the brakes applied when at the traffic lights etc ? Great car otherwise though,
The gearbox worries me... And it's not a French Box (thank God!) It's actually Japanese! AISIN developed it... so fingers crossed. I am really thinking about buying one of these cars. Maybe in white (hate bright colours like yellow or blue). Want a more discreet color. Or grey. Looks elegant on Grey. One thing: does ANYONE has something to say about sound quality? Saw so many reviews. No-one speaks about that. I know it's not Harman kardon or Bose 😂😂 But... is it any good? It's something I really appreciate in a car. Great video. Thank you so much Big hug from Madeira Island, Portugal 🇵🇹
Nice review the rearview mirror you get used to after a short time but the b pillar on the car is not a great vieuw its blocks the other traffic on the road smaller front door (previos car 206 hdi 2002 whit 200000 km owed it yes for 18 years ) for the price you get a very good loocking in and outside sports car .mine is yellow to .1 last thing pedal compartment is small whit big shoes the gas can touch the brake . Love the carbon and piano loock components got some oz racing 7x18-215/35/18 rims and tires .thinking to lower the car about 1 inch . the only thing a often see Are jalous loocks from drivers whit bigger cars !!!
Is it all auto EAT8s that have the twin tail pipes or is it just the 130BHP variant? Also, are the paddles attach to wheel so they go round as you turn the wheel (only ask because I had the impression they were static and not attached it the wheel)?
Hi Thomas... As far as i am aware, it's only the 130 GT Line EAT8 that has the twin exhaust tips. And the paddles are fixed to the steering column, they don't move with the wheel. Thank you for watching
@@rayandersoncars Sorry I expressed myself badly, I meant that from what I know when you put in sport mode in the peugeot 208 the noise of the engine is "amplified" by the speakers

All that money for a top of the range 208 GT Line... and yet - no heated seats... not unless you want to fork out £1,400 for full leather with heated seats. Very, very poor from Peugeot. Other than that - lovely car.
Well depends on the country my dad got this car and has heated seats that are included from the beginning. Still wouldn’t buy a peugeot or any other france car because there are far better options out there.
@@okkeboonstra4587 I have been looking at the new Mk 8 Golf R-Line which I can spec heated seats on. Not too sure about all that touch screen stuff in the Golf though :/

It's not that gorgeous it's over priced. The retro styling trying to resemble the 205 gives it an anti modern profile. With low back door panels.
