    B58 in BMW 6 cylinder engine variation is the best BMW cars you can buy for reliability and dependability and for daily driving. You can’t go wrong with any BMW that has a 40i at the end of the first model number.

      @@michaelfrancis2749 Thanks for the information. I was looking at a 2023 M340i, but it doesn't have that package unfortunately. I have read that people get rid of the RFT and go with the Michelin pilots. Are you running a separate wheel/tire package for the winter?

    Your launch from zero was not a launch control launch which is FAR more impressive. (Select S mode on the gear stick, select sport mode, on the screen select Traction ( which turns it off). Then build boost , Launch control active appears and go. )

    My only downside with this car is the new dashboard I think I preferred it sitting at a nice spot behind the wheel. I think if they kept the two separate I would like it.

      i just got one and i think it's quite nice. it's a long continuous bar and the right screen has very little bezels maximizing screen real estate. i dont like the struts on the back which is visible to the outside. and i dont like the icons as theyre all uniform and indistinguishable while driving.

    I drove a 2021 M340i and really loved the sound of the B58. I own an F80 M3 so I did a compare and contrast. I was also very impressed with that car. It's no M car, but def a nice daily to run around town with and have fun. I am NOT a fan of the idrive8 though. Such a big ugly screen. They need to go back to the actual dash and monitor like idrive 6/7.

    Thanks for the great review. I’m torn between an M3 Competition xDrive and the M340i xDrive for my combo family car and fun car. M340i has all the power I want, and I’ll never track whatever I buy. How does the interior noise of the M340i compare to the M3 in comfort mode? How does the steering feel and responsiveness compare? Thank you.

    • @UltimateDan1
      @UltimateDan1  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The M3 feels far more planted to the road, like it’s on rails, and steering responsiveness can be adjusted between different sport modes. Basically the M340i is a 3 series with acceleration that’s close to the M3. Just dailying you probably won’t notice much of a difference but on the track the m3 will be clearly superior.
      If you have the budget to afford the M3, even for dailying, I say go with it. If not, the m340i is another great option.

    • @minigiant8998

      i just got an m3 comp xdrive, and it's fun! coming from an m550ix, it's not as large or solid feeling (the 5 series door closes with a thunk) but nimble and anxious. it's kinda darty and brakes are strong but hard to modulate for a smooth stop. The gear shift is nice, but it's different than the 5 series - reverse is up and left, and manual shifting is a right shift - a little confusing for someone who never learned stick. and then there's the price. i only clicked a few boxes (no additional carbon fiber) and came out to $95k. that's a hefty price tag for a 3 series. but this car is special. i catch people looking my way more now than when i had the 5 series, and even got one guy who rolled down his window to give me a thumbs up. would u get that on an m340i? maybe but not likely!

  • @KP-lk2fc
    @KP-lk2fc ปีที่แล้ว

    Interior cabin road noise? Is the M3 louder and by how much? Thx.

    • @UltimateDan1
      @UltimateDan1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Never noticed it much in either but the M3 has the fake exhaust sound going through the speakers which might help hide any road noise.
      Tires on an M3 are naturally going to be more sticky than the M340i so I wouldn’t expect anything quiet.
      Best bet is to compare how it sounds on both my m3 and m340i videos and decide for yourself.

    The 2023 M340i is about as quick as say a 2017/2018 BMW M3. They’re both about 4 second cars. Comparing a 2023 M3 to a 2023 M340i is a little different, the engines are largely the same engine, the main difference being 2 single scroll turbos(bi-turbo) in the M3 vs a twin scroll single turbo in the M340i.

    • @ChrisDavis333
      @ChrisDavis333 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      long story short I was trying to say their 0-60 is not all that different, the M340i is way quicker than you’d think and I think the primary difference in 0-60 would be more about weight/suspension/tires/etc. The M3 has a good bit more power but you’d see that more on the top end not so much at 0-60. I watched a little farther in the video now and it appears you’ve changed your mind about the M340i and how quick it is.

Tons of I drive 8 glitches unlike i drive 7. They put new touch screen out anyway ,and they are getting alot of negative global feedback. I know I work for them,for full disclosure.
