Felt like I was watching a fortnite character intro; the one consistent thing Dragon Age had over its games was Gravitas and grit, we have lost the Gravitas and everything looks wayyy to clean
They introduce the companions by reducing them to their roles. No one remembers their names, just "the necromancer", "the assassin", "the warden" and that's if they remember them at all

Instead of continuing a story of the game , developers in charge got money from investors and started telling us story of their personal fantasy, well money spent.
They think people on the internet are all mouth breathers that bust a nut when they see "good" graphics. They grossly underestimated the true fans of this game.
I just remember being like 15 years old and saving up enough money working at an amusement park to buy an xbox 360. Dragon age origins was the first game I bought with my xbox and I played the shit out of that game. It was my first true rpg and it sucked me in like nothing else. Thats a huge part of my childhood. Now all these years later i get to see it reduced to this. Its truly infuriating.
I mean, you kind of preaching to the choir here. A, this isn't the old guard of Bioware, who gave us KOTOR, Baldur's Gate, Mass Effect and the original Dragon Age, and B, well, Bioware is well known for throwing away great and interesting ideas to focus on stuff no one wants. Remember the Mage vs Templar conflict? Yeah, the thing we spent the entire Dragon Age 2 seeing and interacting with? That we ended explosively, literally, in Dragon Age 2 with? Yeah, that was tossed away in Dragon Age Inquisition in a boring prologue mission that didn't even take the whole prologue. That very interesting conflict of old history and ideology, yeah, that. Tossed away like a pair of old shoes. Than, the assassination of the Grey Wardens. because the people at Bioware hated the Grey Wardens and don't even understand their characters/faction they wrote in Dragon Age Origins and can't understand why people like them. Or with the mages, and not understanding one bit why people are willing to go to bat for mages, even when we've seen the literal kind of atrocities they can and have caused and what happens if left to complete free rein. Just some of the interesting things Bioware has tossed away. But yeah, not their first, but hopefully, their last, because EA shuts them down.
