Actually, all Transformers have sparks-- the whole of their essence, their personality, their "soul" if you will. It merely almost never comes up in the older programs, because, well, kids show, means robots can die, the whole "never say die" thing from cartoons of the era... that sort of thing. But Starscream... Starscream is a... unique individual. Any other Cybertronian, when killed, they (usually) die. Their spark dissipates, they fade away, they go baibai. But for some reason-- which as far as I know, has never actually been explained-- Starscream's spark stays coherent-- indeed, so far indestructible. He can even possess almost any known mechanism of sufficient complexity. (This has not always worked to his advantage.) Starscream is immortal, or the closest you come in the G1 (and many later) continuities. Fortunately for the universe, he is nearly always an ultimately incompetent immortal, who has a positive talent for losing.
Kenko706 yeah to be honest I agree I have no idea how his spark survived through G1, Armada, Energon and the other Transformers but I will admit it is good to hear the voice of the original starscream in beast wars
I wish someone would do this same storyline with amazing voice actors and better cgi. I know everyone wants it. Even the reruns of this show is still awesome to watch.
A nice touch is in "Transformers: Animated." In that series Starscream gets a piece of the All-Spark embedded in his body. As a result he can't be killed. After supposedly being taken offline his body comes back on line. He keeps going after Megatron who easily defeats him over and over again. It gets to the point that it becomes very dull. Later, Starscream finally realizes that it's a bad idea to go after Megatron so he sets up his own base. There he creates five clones of himself and embeds a piece of his spark in each one. Each one activates with a part of his personality: (1) a sycophant, (2) a coward, (3) a liar, (4) an egomaniac, and (5) a female (when Starscream asks her "So, which part of me did you come from?" she responds "Don't ask.").
@@Solitaire001 Personally, I think that Slipstream embodies those few POSITIVE qualities like loyalty. After all, in the cut scenes of the season 3 finale, he then resurrects his "creator".
Mainframe lost the source files long ago, but based on what they had for Reboot, they actually animated the shows in what could be considered Blu-ray quality, then downscaled it to be watchable on old school tube TVs.
I'm convinced Waspinator is a descendant of Starscream, his spark's able to withstand hits that killed the likes of Depthcharge, Dinobot, and the first Optimus Prime.
Surprisingly now looking at clips of this show and watching the original G1 Transformers series clip this was a really well thought out show besides all the goofy ness. It had some really nice moments, tide into the past well, some great flashbacks and some entertaining moments. It had so much potential if it was taken more serious and developed more.
They'd stab each other in the back. Frankly, I don't know who to root for. You have Tarantulas the evil mad scientist and Starcream the evil 2nd in command who lusts for power, they both are untrustworthy......
So basically... after the events of Ghost In The Machine, Starscream was sent back to the Beast Wars era and possessed Waspinator. That's pretty much all the context there is.
He should have returned in Beast Machines instead of Waspinator. Waspinator being catapulted from prehistoric Earth to futuristic Cybertron makes no sense, but Starscream returning intentionally to Cybertron and taking millions of years to get there makes much more sense.
The voice actor for Starscream in this episode did a pretty good job of impersonating the original actor and especially when he says "Allow me to introduce myself..." which just always makes me think of the G1 episode 'Ghost in the Machine' when he says the same thing to Unicron.
For those who aren’t aware getting blasted is most likely not a reference to 86 because he was later revived by unicron only to get blasted by galvatron again killing him
No he didn't. Starscream idiotically sacrificed himself so the Autobot- and Decepticons would stop fighting each other and focus on stopping Unicron, he didn't die defending "Galvatron." What that garbage show again, your memory fails you.
Visored Kuzu I mean in both of those cases it was with the main bodies willingly taking in another spark while here Starscream clearly went into Waspinator much to laters discomfort. So maybe since the main bodies spark didn’t willingly accept the other one it didn’t cause a transformation?
I misssed SOOOO many references in this show growing up. Cause I had no idea it was a sequel to transformers cause I had no idea transformers existed or was a thing, I thought beast wars was the start of the franchise. unicron...megatron g1.....so many things you miss when you don't realize this, you can really appreciate the show THAT much more w hen they jam this much homage into another series into it.
Yeah I know it can be confusing but Beast Wars is actually both a prequel and a sequel to the G1 Transformers timeline. The world of Beast Wars actually takes place three centuries into the future after the Great War between the autobots and the Decepticons. Sometime after the events of the G1 series, the Transformers left Earth and made their way back to their home on Cybertron, and within the centuries of evolution and time, the Beast Wars Transformers would become The Descendants of the original G1 Transformers. That being the Autobots becoming the maximals and the Decepticons becoming the Predacons. The Beast Machines series would later explain the event was called the Great upgrade in which one became the other, Autobot to maximal and decepticon to Predacon. Anyhow when you watch the Beast Wars pilot and you see the ships going through portal crashing on the Earth, that's because they went traveling through time due to Predacon Megatron using transwarp technology. As the series went on , they would later explain that it was the Predacons mission to travel back in time and erase history due to Megatron possessing the golden disk.
Apparently this was was because Staracream's spark went through a rift in time that sent him back to the same time period that the Maximals and Predacons happened to have traveled to. The main issue is that Starscream's last appearance in the G1 cartoon had Unicron restoring his body, then he was sent flying through space. So, either he died again sometime later or this occurred after he was killed in the movie but before he appeared as a ghost in the G1 cartoon.
Even back then they got some really great bits of physical expression into the movements. Starscream practically shuddering with fury when declaring his right to rule, his smooth movements when attempting to suborn Black Arachnia - a very different set of movements to Waspinator's borderline hypervigilant twitchiness and subsequent dejection after being dismissed or battered once more.
Starscream actually mentions in this episode that his spark can travel through space & time. it does sounds plot convenience but at least it was not a plot hole.
As Starscream told his story to the Predacons, I listened to him saying he fell defending Galvatron from Unicron and I thought to myself "That's not how I remember it." Then it was revealed that he was lying, and I realized I had almost entirely trusted the word of the most treacherous Decepticon of all while having directly seen the history that he was lying about.
I love how we saw old G1 Transfomers Easter Eggs in Beast Wars really love how we got to see G1 Optimus and gave Maximal Optimus his new form with his spark. But Starscream says that he was protecting Galvatron yet Predacon Megatron get's his dragon form from G1 Megatron.
I don't get why people debate what continuity Beast Wars takes place in (G1 cartoon or Marvel comic) episodes like this make it VERY clear which continuity this is, that being the cartoon. Starscream died from the Underbase in the Marvel comic, not Galvatron.
That would've made sense, the two of them are a lot alike but perhaps Starscream possessed Waspinator since Waspinator had a simple mind that was easier to contain then Terrosaur......
I've never seen any fiction saying they're related. Though if any future official fiction were to retroactively say so, I'd have no problem with it. It's a shame they killed Terrorsaur. He was one of my 3 favourite Predacons along with Megatron and Inferno.
3:00 Looks like Starscream and Blackarachnia were going to discuss their partnership in private if you catch my drift. While Starscream is in Waspinator's body. Starscream: Too bad, Bug Brain! I'm in charge and those skidplates are mine. I haven't fondeled a femme in centuries! Waspinator: Wazzpinator not want to! Thiz is rape!
I just noticed Starscream said Galvatron and it was there that Megatron (beast wars) discovered Megatron (G1) in perfect shape in the ark so in theory this could show this Starscream is from a parallel universe meaning G1 and Beast wars are two separate continuities (if anyone here thought beast wars was taking place during G1's event when they crashed into earth and stayed in stasis for millions of years)
Megatron’s main goal in “Beast Machines” was to control _everything,_ right down to the wills of his more durable enemies. Any traitorous effort on Starscream’s part would’ve stuck out like a sore thumb.
I'm sure it will be difficult but how cool would it up in they could have put the spark of Starscream inside a Proform and had them permanently join the cast in a new body
Blackarachnia: (to Starscream) I scanned your file. You didn't get blasted to scrap metal by Unicron. You got blasted by Galvatron after you betrayed him. (Flashback of Transformers G1: The Movie, Megatron as Galvatron) Starscream: Who disrupts my coronation? Galvatron: Coronation, Starscream? This is bad comedy. Starscream: Megatron? Is that you? Galvatron: Here's a hint! (transform into a gun, kills Starscream due to his betrayal, and destroy his crown) Will anyone else attempt to fill his shoes? Rumble: What did he say his name was? Galvatron: Galvatron! All Decepticons: (cheering) Long live Galvatron!
I still cannot believe that out of the entire cast of Transformers, it was STARSCREAM that got to have the immortal spark that could possess people.

RIP Chris Latta, you deserve this recognition in Beast Wars ❤
I wish someone would do this same storyline with amazing voice actors and better cgi. I know everyone wants it. Even the reruns of this show is still awesome to watch.
Say what you will about him, but Starscream's will is so strong he's lived without a body in nearly every version of the show/comic he appears in..
He is the embodiment of "Man literally too angry too die"
That's a decent replacement for chris latta
RIP Chris Latta, man.
Someone needs to graphicly remaster this show.
Mainframe lost the source files long ago, but based on what they had for Reboot, they actually animated the shows in what could be considered Blu-ray quality, then downscaled it to be watchable on old school tube TVs.
4:19 and then starscream stop thinking
It would have been interesting to see if Ghost Starscream was aware that his physical body was still in the ark when the Decepticons raided the ship.
i love how if you slow down the clip and see the part where u could see starscream on waspinator u can see his head is not properly rendered
Tarantulas and Starsceram would really make a good team
They'd stab each other in the back. Frankly, I don't know who to root for. You have Tarantulas the evil mad scientist and Starcream the evil 2nd in command who lusts for power, they both are untrustworthy......
Tarantulas is the Beast Wars counterpart of Starscream after all
@@0XShadowdragonX0 Well, one of the two counterparts who actually survived.
Hasta la vista Starscream. Best voice line ever from this transformers series! XD
3:51 "hasta la vista, Starscream".
Y lo dijo igual qué Arnold Schwarzenegger.
I love how the scene with Unicron is set up, the music, and everything, really just gives it a bit of a spooky feel.
Maybe next time possess a bot with a smaller history of blowing up? Just saying....
2:15 Cheetor turning on his speed hacks.
So basically... after the events of Ghost In The Machine, Starscream was sent back to the Beast Wars era and possessed Waspinator.
That's pretty much all the context there is.
Either that or his ghost went back in time, before the episode Starscream's Ghost.
Transformers Movie reference point goes to Arachnia.
4:09
*I'LL BE BACK! EVEN IF IT TAKES A THOUSAND YEARS, I'LL GET REVENGE ON YOU ALL!!!!!!*
It's time to go back to G1
He should have returned in Beast Machines instead of Waspinator. Waspinator being catapulted from prehistoric Earth to futuristic Cybertron makes no sense, but Starscream returning intentionally to Cybertron and taking millions of years to get there makes much more sense.
How the scene would realisticly go
Waspscream: I am commander starscream of the deceptico-
(Predacon shoot the crap out of starscream)
The voice actor for Starscream in this episode did a pretty good job of impersonating the original actor and especially when he says "Allow me to introduce myself..." which just always makes me think of the G1 episode 'Ghost in the Machine' when he says the same thing to Unicron.
Starscream is the best,
Am I the only one who noticed that Armanda Starscream reference?
considering Armada aired long after beast wars (Beast Wars started in 1996 and armada in 2003) that's a hell of a reference.
I wish Chris Latta should be the voice of Starscream G1, Unfortunately he passed away in 1994 while the show starts in 1996.
The voice actor did a great job sounding like Chris though, imo.
3:38 "YOU BIT...TRAYED ME!"
3:13, damn, Starscream got back.
TopBunkProductions you fool!
For those who aren’t aware getting blasted is most likely not a reference to 86 because he was later revived by unicron only to get blasted by galvatron again killing him
G1 Starscream unknowingly predicted how his alternate universe counterpart would die in Transformers Armada.
No he didn't.
Starscream idiotically sacrificed himself so the Autobot- and Decepticons would stop fighting each other and focus on stopping Unicron, he didn't die defending "Galvatron."
What that garbage show again, your memory fails you.
@@ValiantWrestling Jeez, somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed today.
@@ValiantWrestlingNigga tf?
Wouldn't waspinators body change from having another spark inside of him like primal and megatron
Visored Kuzu It's not a natural spark.
Megatron and Primal already being Transmetals may have had something to do with it
Visored Kuzu I mean in both of those cases it was with the main bodies willingly taking in another spark while here Starscream clearly went into Waspinator much to laters discomfort. So maybe since the main bodies spark didn’t willingly accept the other one it didn’t cause a transformation?
No Star scream takes over abots mind and the the othe mind takes a back seat while the a stronger mind takes over.
Maybe this was what caused Waspinator to become indestructible.
This Episode is ABSOLUTE GOLD!!!!!
It would be wild if that same Starscream came back for a BeastWars movie 😂
I misssed SOOOO many references in this show growing up. Cause I had no idea it was a sequel to transformers cause I had no idea transformers existed or was a thing, I thought beast wars was the start of the franchise. unicron...megatron g1.....so many things you miss when you don't realize this, you can really appreciate the show THAT much more w hen they jam this much homage into another series into it.
Wait, I’m confused. I thought Beast Wars took place before the G1 Transformers woke up on earth?
So, either he died again sometime later or this occurred after he was killed in the movie but before he appeared as a ghost in the G1 cartoon.
nice!!! thank u :)
Two words. Time Travel.
Yes and no, the Maximals and Predecons come from the future, as for Starscream... idk how he got sent back in time.

Boy, not even death can stop Starscream. Awesome!
What I’m wondering is that if this takes place in the distant past, how does Starscream end up here when he dies millions of years after these events?
Exactly mmmm the directors were not paying attention
Starscream actually mentions in this episode that his spark can travel through space & time. it does sounds plot convenience but at least it was not a plot hole.
apparently his spark time travelled using the same method that the maximals and predacons used in the first episode
@@ockertoustesizem1234 *"beyond time itself!"*
As Starscream told his story to the Predacons, I listened to him saying he fell defending Galvatron from Unicron and I thought to myself "That's not how I remember it."
Then it was revealed that he was lying, and I realized I had almost entirely trusted the word of the most treacherous Decepticon of all while having directly seen the history that he was lying about.
Those aint easter eggs, they're full on callbacks.
This was my favorite episode of Beast Wars.
Starscream's voice actually fits Waspinator quite well.
I don't get why people debate what continuity Beast Wars takes place in (G1 cartoon or Marvel comic) episodes like this make it VERY clear which continuity this is, that being the cartoon. Starscream died from the Underbase in the Marvel comic, not Galvatron.
Probably due to beast wars referencing primus
Why didn't Starscream possess Terrosaur? He is his descendant after all, and sounds just like him, sort of
That would've made sense, the two of them are a lot alike but perhaps Starscream possessed Waspinator since Waspinator had a simple mind that was easier to contain then Terrosaur......
Starscream and Waspinator are related, I mean they’re both unkillable.
Well the thing is that waspinator is an idiot so it was easy for starscream
That would have been too obvious.
I've never seen any fiction saying they're related. Though if any future official fiction were to retroactively say so, I'd have no problem with it.
It's a shame they killed Terrorsaur. He was one of my 3 favourite Predacons along with Megatron and Inferno.
Huh, I just noticed that Waspinator gets the Decepticon logo on his head during his possession as opposed to the usual Predicon logo. Neat. xD
3:00 Looks like Starscream and Blackarachnia were going to discuss their partnership in private if you catch my drift. While Starscream is in Waspinator's body. I can imagine their mental battle XD
Waspinator: Uhhhh.....Wazzpinator doez not conzzent to having zzex with zzpider-bot! Wazzpinator not like girlzzz! Girlzz have cootiez!
Starscream: Too bad, Bug Brain! I'm in charge and those skidplates are mine. I haven't fondeled a femme in centuries!
Waspinator: Wazzpinator not want to! Thiz is rape!
I wonder why Starscream never possessed his past self that still sleep before the Great War?
Starscream just doesn't seem to quit does he? Even in death he still plots
Twinkle twinkle little Starscream.
0:18 What did he say?
"YOU BETRAYED ME!!!" 😢
"I studied with the master~" 😏
“Poor Waspinator.” - RodimusPrimal.
I just noticed Starscream said Galvatron and it was there that Megatron (beast wars) discovered Megatron (G1) in perfect shape in the ark so in theory this could show this Starscream is from a parallel universe meaning G1 and Beast wars are two separate continuities (if anyone here thought beast wars was taking place during G1's event when they crashed into earth and stayed in stasis for millions of years)
Starscream never came back, not even in Beast Machines, I wonder why? Not that I'm complaining mind you, he was a slimy worm.
Megatron’s main goal in “Beast Machines” was to control _everything,_ right down to the wills of his more durable enemies. Any traitorous effort on Starscream’s part would’ve stuck out like a sore thumb.
@@kylestubbs8867 If Starscream had turned up and ruined Megatron's plans, I'd thank Starscream and give him a medal.
The only time Starscream was killed by Unicron,it’s was in Transformers Armada
Hey good improvement to waspanator
Remove idiot and add backstabbing sociopath
Definitely in my stop motion transformers series for waspinator
0:46 Starscream introducing himself
Waaazzzpinator has a headache in his whole body
3:50 Terminator moment
Lol
I'm sure it will be difficult but how cool would it up in they could have put the spark of Starscream inside a Proform and had them permanently join the cast in a new body
Blackarachnia: (to Starscream) I scanned your file. You didn't get blasted to scrap metal by Unicron. You got blasted by Galvatron after you betrayed him.
(Flashback of Transformers G1: The Movie, Megatron as Galvatron)
Starscream: Who disrupts my coronation?
Galvatron: Coronation, Starscream? This is bad comedy.
Starscream: Megatron? Is that you?
Galvatron: Here's a hint! (transform into a gun, kills Starscream due to his betrayal, and destroy his crown) Will anyone else attempt to fill his shoes?
Rumble: What did he say his name was?
Galvatron: Galvatron!
All Decepticons: (cheering) Long live Galvatron!
Blackarachnia seriously rivaled Dinobot in badassery
Oh! Starscream! This is bad Comedy!
the lie Starscream tells predicts his death in armada change my mind.
I almost thought this was Chris Latta's voice.
Anyone noticed Waspinator’s predacon insignia became the decepticon insignia?
