    Looks so good with its pace, choice of shots, and music sound. What lens did you use?

      @@storylitfilms Thank you for getting back to me. That's awesome. I have the Lumix f12-35 and f1.7 50.
      Is there anything besides false color you would recommend to get the look all your work show through your channel? I know Arri has that look, but you bring that same look and feel to the 4k that is amazing. Dehancer, and CinePrint ain't cutting it for me. I can kinda colourgrade but I feel I'm missing something. Any comments would be a blessing.

      @@pglazzari1 Hey my friend, thank you for your kind words, means a lot. Really appreciate you took the time to watch and comment! As for look, I've done a few things consistently for cinematography: 1) I pray everyday, for wisdom and help from God, I know it sounds impractical, but prayer counts cause God counts, and He can help give you wisdom and skill and ability. So I look to Him always first and foremost. 2) I study light. I look at contrast and how light and shadow interact. Then I learn how to apply contrast to my images. Sometimes all you need is natural light, sometimes all you need to do is subtract like with solid/negative, sometimes all you need is a bounce to fill light in, sometimes you need a lot of lights to light a large room. It can be different every time, but the goal im always aiming for is contrast, create light and shadow across the frame, like a series of stripes (light/dark/light dark). 3) I shoot, a lot, as much as I can. I take on projects and often times they challenge me and often times I fail to achieve what I had hoped and it's good cause I learn how to do it better. Just get out there and shoot, have fun, and learn from the mistakes. 4) Educate all the time. Learn from others, watch a lot of BTS on how the pros do it. Listen to podcasts. Take notes, go back to the notes and relearn everything. 5) Buy some lighting, get LED which is cheap and low power and light rooms and diffuse the light and bounce the light. Just play with that light as much as possible.

    Did you go back and fourth between a 1x1 aspect ratio? Love the shots too. Gained a subscriber.

      @storylitfilms  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you!! I was going to use the same aspect ratio as the light house but that opening shot of the actor walking towards the light house persuaded me otherwise,. I just loved that wide!
