Yup. Lens tech here, 22 years old. my 5D works nearly perfect at near for my B-out lazy eye(8-14in) after that, nope, nope nope, And I know neurolens exists, but then how on Earth am I able to create adaptive prism in my regular prism blank? I'm dumbfounded by that only time and reprogramming the edger will tell.
A few days ago I got prismatic plus lenses for reading too. It's amazing! But when I read for a longer time my double vision comes back. Do I need more prisms? Do I have to go back to my optometrist?
There are glasses that will help your central vision. Any peripheral vision that you've lost cannot be helped with glasses. Nothing will restore the vision that is lost due to RP.
