I was given the great full gift to hear, the greatest thing in life is to hear you mother say “I love you” I heard the words for the first time. Another thing was I happily burned my deaf caution jacket. My grandparents showed up, and I could hear their voices. I could hear….my own.
This gives me hope.

@@j-manmarkus7591 Actually, I haven't pursued this technology yet. I became a stay-at-home mom and haven't felt the need for them... yet. One thing you might suggest to the person you know (with Stargardt's) is to look into getting genetically tested, if they haven't already. It can be expensive, but if they get a referral to see an ophthalmologist at one of the major universities participating in clinical trials, etc, they might qualify for free testing. That way, if/when new, advancements in therapies for Stargardt's become available, they will be able to receive firsthand updates, etc, through My Retina Tracker! It's pretty exciting!!! :D
I live with stargardts disease, I have since I was about 15 or 16. I am 28 now and I am from Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. My vision is 20/2200 which is the line that they consider you legally blind at as far as I know. Anything that can help my vision at all would be incredible, I am not talking about getting a drivers license possible, but just something that can help in any way. I am defineatly doing more research on this eSight product!
I’m sorry you’re having to go through that Tyler 😢 it’s so unfair that medical people can earn so much money yet people need things that are likely to be financially out of reach. I can’t imagine buying a $1000 bag if I had that much for a bag, I couldn’t do it. When it’s just making designers and shops rich. So, so many better things to spend it on

since 7 years old i have fully devloped sartgardt desease , on 10 point of vision for accuracy i only hve 1 point of vision , strange but it never stoped me , even for sports or music , chek my chennel you'll see my music and my inline skating ..

I recently tried biopics and they had a telescope lens on top of glasses. I wonder if these are the same. These look more broad though. In my case I also am near sided so the biopics help with both things.
