Based on this recommendation, I read all three books in the trilogy. As a Scot, I knew about James VI &I, and also Bonnie Prince Charlie so the period covered by this trilogy filled in a lot of gaps for me. Also, having the North American and West Indies included provided useful contexts. Overall I enjoyed how the fiction was woven within actual history. The characters were an eclectic mix; I appreciated that most of them were neither unrealistically heroic or villainous. Definitely worth a read but I recommend reading all three within the same time period so you don’t forget who is whom.
Tillie always puts a smile on my face. This has such a lovely cover. This series sounds so good. I have enjoyed everything I have read by Philippa Gregory. She has never disappointed. I am a big fan of Star Trek. My son and I get into friendly discussions of which is better Star Wars or Star Trek. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on Patrick Stewart. Looking forward to your next video.
I have also just finished reading Dark Tides and agree that the first one should definitely be read before Dark Tides. I’ve ordered the third book from my local library and can’t wait to read it.
Hi again, I will certainly look forward to your upcoming videos. Thank you.I just love your reviews so much, and of course Tilley is your partner and adds so much. We all love her.😊😊❤😊😊
Thank you so much for this video! It's always good to see you and Tilly! I must say you always wear such lovely earrings! (sorry I know it's not book related but I just wanted to tell you!) I love Philippa Gregory's books but I haven't started on this series yet! But now that you are recommending it so highly I will get started on it!😀
Love Tilly she looks such a sweetheart. I have just ordered the three books from the library, they sound great.

My two favorite Star Trek actors are Leonard Nimoy and Sir Patrick Stewart! I’m putting those biographies on my list!
Sounds good read Tidelands may have to get this one
I loved the two books! Your cover is beautiful, mine is all red.
Trekkie!? Shouldn't that be Trekker?
I've always known 'Trekkie' as a word for a fan of Star Trek - but I've looked this up and apparently both can be used.
