    INSTALLATION INTRUCTIONS
    ( 1 ) REMOVING THE OEM THERMOSTAT
    1. Using a jack, securely support the vehicle on jack stands or use a vehicle lift. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery. (Located in the trunk).
    2. Using your Phillips screwdriver, remove the coolant drain plug located in the center of the vehicle, below the radiator. Drain all coolant from the vehicle, using a drain pan to catch all used coolant. Removing the radiator cap will air the draining process.
    3. Using your flathead screwdriver, disconnect and remove the upper radiator hose by unscrewing the two hose clamps securing it.
    4. Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor, located on top of the thermostat housing.
    5. Using you 12mm socket, remove the two bolts on top of the thermostat housing.
    6. Remove the top of the thermostat housing and move the upper water neck away from your work area.
    7. You will now be able to remove the stock thermostat. Once the thermostat is removed, use a scraper to remove any old, left over gasket on the thermostat housing.
    ( 2 ) INSTALLING THE MISHIMOTO THERMOSTAT
    1. Install the new Mishimoto thermostat, placing it in the thermostat housing with the gold side up.
    2. Install new thermostat gasket and move the upper water neck back into place.
    3. Line up the bolt holes when putting everything nack together, making sure not to pinch or fold the gasket. Screw both 12mm bolts down to secure the upper water neck.
    4. Reinstall the upper radiator hose, securing it with both hose clamps.
    5. It is now time to refill the vehicle with coolant. Screw your coolant drain plug back in if you haven't done so already. Insert the funnel into the filler neck of the radiator and begin to pour a 50/50 mix of coolant and distilled water. While filling, it is a good idea to pump the upper radiator hose to remove any last bit of air in the system.
    6. Reinstall the radiator cap back on the vehicle and reconnect the negative terminal on the battery. Start the vehicle, making sure the vehicle is in neutral or park.
    7. With the vehicle running, turn the heat on high. Monitor the temperature gauge to make sure the vehicle does not overheat.
    8. Using a jack, raise the vehicle, remove the jack stands, and lower the vehicle, or lower the vehicle on the lift you were using.
