What's crazy to me is how faithful the whole thing looks. Like, they didn't try to turn it into a different game or modernize it, it's mostly just a visual upgrade. I'm most excited to hear the updated soundtrack, as it's one of my favorite video game scores ever made. Definitely one of Yoko Shimomura's best works.

The remake of Super Mario RPG was the best surprise a cynical 39 year-old could have hoped for. So happy to see Mallow and Geno come back to life! Now all I need is King K Rool to return as Donkey Kong's nemesis in future games. :)

We may not have gotten Geno in Ultimate but I feel like this is better probably. A lot of people, myself included will finally be able to play this game. It was always odd it was missing from SNES Online. Now we know why! It looks beautiful. So unique, creative and cute.

I'm not just amazingly hyped for this and happy for the SMRPG community/fanbase... But I'm also extremely relieved: The main reason there were so many nay-sayers for Geno in Smash was because so many people had never played SMRPG - and they were just upset that "people were hyped about someone they didn't know when they thought they knew everyone". I know they're a stubborn bunch, but I'm sure a good number of them will give this game a shot... and realize WHY WE WANTED GENO IN SMASH SO BADLY.

When I started here I was in my mid-late twenties, now when everything is said and done, I'm in my early thirties. Not saying that there never will be a smash game again, and that you'll cover the leaks, but maybe I'm a late thirtier or early fourtier then, unable to grasp the magic and nostaligia that we are still in now. i follow papa geno since 3 years only, i follow some for like 10+ years and when he said "yes the jump noise" my heart ached... i cant explain the feeling becouse i neither had friends or parents but it makes me feel my heart and changed my entire day. i questioned myself alot today but whats most important for now is that papa is happy. its so miraculous to see someone being so happy for such a niche game. it just shows me that we humans are more then it could ever meet the eye which is probably why i'm so blind to begin with. my eyes are closed for i seeked the truth and now that ive seen papa geno see his favorite game i feel like i missed out on life for the longest time.... dont get me wrong its a good thing that i was able to witness that,.. meh, i guess i'm just weird. the point is papa is very wholesome and its unbelievably cute and beautiful. i wish for him that such things happen to him more often maybe a super mario rpg 2 or something. i will grow on this experience and learn more from my heart which apparently truly is able to speak to me.
