@@SirMZK If you focus on some of the more accessible unfinished interiors like the police station or the other megabuildings you may be able to avoid the LOD render distance issues.
I have this bad feeling Orion's gonna be worse than 2077 - I mean it probably won't have 2077's drama on release but could be just mediocre like many modern AAA titles. CDPR's American branch is making it
Cyberpunk has a ton of places that never was going to be used, yet left in game. A casino sounds like a good place to get some gigs, like a casino fixer sounds intressting.
Hey man, Game Dev and 3D Artist here. What you're looking at, from my perspective, is a problem with the way in which LODs are loading. At first glance, removing them entirely may seem like a good fix, but they exist to help performance, so that's not what you'd want to do. Now I'm not sure if current tools will let you do this, but you may want to look into a way of adjusting WHEN the lower quality LODs load in instead of removing them outright. I believe this will help performance optimization, especially if you take care in doing it with each of the props you're using.
We absolutely need that new RedEngine mod tools they just released for Witcher in Cyberpunk. Not only do I want to make custom locations but I can see a Fallout 4 style interiors project that lets you explore a lot more of Night City and I actually really would like to see how players would write their own stories and how they imagine what Night City could be hiding.
5:40 there's a mod that does that. its called night city unlocked. I Don't think that casino is unlock but a lot of other places are like arasaka water front, maybe that modder can help lol
I thought it was going to be the original location for the casino mission in Phantom Liberty, but they moved it into Dogtown to simplify the quest design. It makes more sense that the rich of Night City would be gambling in North Oak than travelling to a corpse-strewn war zone run by trigger happy mercenaries. The whole bit where you sneak in through the tunnels makes more sense in the context of a large compound in the hills than it does just to reach the service elevator in a tower.
I hope CDPR release a official modding kit in the future. Just like they did with The Witcher 3 releasing Redkit. And i hope i doesn't take them another 10 years to do so.
@@zetroyalit’s a picture, you can’t tell if it’s ideal. Night city puts appearance on such a high pedestal, relying on your eyes to spot equality or idealism in night city is a fallacy in and of itself
well, good news for you is... AMM has an insane asset limit, youll be fine adding several hundreds more to decorate. the funny news is the lagspike when spawning stuff in. not going too much into detail but im working on something along the lines of your project and so far couldnt figure out how to optimize the asset loading through AMM so it just absolutely bombards your CPU until everything has been placed. at least the game doesnt ever crash for me when doing so.
What is even worse, it does funny things to V. Lucy's Apartment was modded into the game using AMM assets... the only problem is, when the apartment loads, V starts flying... and then falls to the ground.
Bro Youd be the goat if you brought a lot of dead places in this game to life. This already is so good. Modders will for sure reach out to help you with this.
Oh how I wish for Redkit for CP2077 when I see this! CDPR should do this asap and Cyberpunk will stay as relevant as Skyrim decades after launch!! Good job, Sir!
Hey Nomad, nice to see you here. I absolutely agree, but at the moment, I doubt it will come anytime soon. Unfortunately. CP2077 could be another Skyrim modding situation if we had the tools, meaning the game would be kept alive and fresh for years and years to come...
Amazing job! But personally, I'll be waiting for an archive version that won't require freefly, but will work with in-game prompts. I heard the author of this mod and video is working on it with others. Lookign forward to it! :)
I would like to see the militech building restored so we can have a heist mission there someday on the multiplayer mod. You really are doing a remarkable job making all this and im sure its going to make a difference.
Great job man. I hope the Cyberpunk modding scene keeps adding to Night City. The game is way better now, but modding has taken this game to legendary levels, looking at theCyanideX and deceptious, among others 👀
Now that CyberPunk 2077 is mostly kinda EOL this should become a community effort to bring this space into existence. I don't know anything about how to do it so I'm just talking a pipe dream but I wish something like this happened.
nice to see the casino restored. i managed to get there without mod (was a long way to go from the border) and i was disappointed when i found out that it was empty.
Oh hey! I just started looking into Unreal 5 for my own little personal projects, and I find it to be wildly accessible. I do have coding experience, so that may help, but I don't think it's necessary at all. So if the rest of CyberPunk and Witcher games are being done in that engine (I don't remember if that rumor was true) then the modding experience you get here could help with the future immensely! I'm still new to it, but it doesn't seem too bad. Models/meshes/animations are my biggest hurdle so far. Tons of tutorials out there though. This is exciting to hear, can't wait to see what ya do. Love your channel, and good luck!
2:37 I don't know if that's possible, but what you could do to avoid performance issues during development, is to make every part as a different preset and combine them manually after you're done. I assume all this is is just some kind of a txt file with a list of props and their coordinates (and maybe their respective IDs). It might be a pain in the ass to do but it's an option, at least. 4:06 Regarding broken LoDs, while I haven't played around with Cyberpunk modding, I can say that there must be some kind of value determining the lod distance, as I wouldn't think CDPR would employ some esoteric magic schizo code to this, (or maybe they did, in order to get this game running on the ps4 and xbone) and you probably should be able to find it in Wolvenkit somewhere. It's most likely a matter of finding the right string, and then changing some values.
As someone else said you should restore other locations and/or make locations that are just non accessible open and basically make more interiors in NC.
I have no idea what you do for your day job, mbut my goodness you may just have a _calling_ for interior design and decoration! I'm a picky person, and your work has impressed me, for a hobby project this is just fatastic!
If AMM works the way I expect it to, it uses a unique game object to hold each prop. In laymans terms, that means each prop has just a bit less of an impact on performance as an enemy. (minus A.I., Inventory 'n stuff) I highly advise you to find something else if you want to edit large locations like this. Edit: The modding discord has a mod commissions tab. If you want to commission a proper map editor, I'd be willing to put some cash down for the bounty.
for tunnel id think it would be possible for you to get rid of all those props BUT i have not seen any terrain editing whatso ever or else id figure people would of been using that like crazy if it existed also seen mods get rid of invisible barriers before so thats possible. though i feel like we need to like make the devs aware we want like some proper tools like i think witcher 3 has
It would be good if more modders restore all the cut content and cdpr ends up releasing all the cut content on next gen consoles and give credit to all the modders for it
Will definitely check this out later today. I play in VR so it should be a nice experience :D *Edit* Regarding entry, couldn't a stop gap solution be to just have a teleport near the road entrance that takes you inside? I've seen a handful of other mods utilize something like that (the old metro system mod comes to mind)
Does anyone have a reason why Cyber engine tweaks won't start when you boot the game? I have the latest one and yes, I had moded cyberpunk before on the same PC. I uninstalled it for space then when I reinstalled it later, it just won't recognize CET. Have the same mods installed, game boots but just won't recognize CEt hence ignoring all mods.
