Before a week, I had posted a comment for one of the Samsung india's video. I had asked Samung india to respond to this global green line issue and requested them to resolve my same green line issue case which was still pending with HO VOC team. Samsung india did respond to that comment and asked me for my contact details. Here's the interesting bit. Samsung india had already blocked me from commenting to any of their videos. What an amazing play. Now it seems that Samsung has taken pain to ask me for my contact details but I ran away without giving them. Wow 👌 👏

I am one of the victim. Just after minute of software update green vertical line came out. When approached service centre they never addressed instead blamed me for misuse. Tried to explain never heard me at last they told to pay 17500 for display change. Though it's not within warranty but paying 17500 is merely unimaginable. Instead we can new one. Hence I decided no more Samsung option in future. Cheating

Please do a followup video on how we can sue samsung for this. Happened to me last year with a monthly security update, my s20 plus display started flickering. Had to pay rs 16,000/- for the replacement.
While in the service center I could see a long line of people who was having motherboard issues(not just s20 plus, budget to medium priced phones too) after monthly update, all of them just few weeks after their warranty is over. I guess THIS IS their business model.
Please don't stop here, samsung should held accountable. You should spread awareness to everybody so that the customers who got cheated, including myself, can file a joint petition or something.

I recommended S20 FE to one of my friend. After 3 months of usage he was facing some display issue; he visited the service center with thought that my phone is still in warranty but his request was denied because he has habit of playing around with the mobile cover and some "body paint" around corner of the phone was affected.

S20 Plus become very popular when Flipkart offered this phone at 47K during 2020 Big Billion day sale. I too joined the bandwagon and got a Watch Active 2 as well and entered the ecosystem.
Just few months after warranty got over, screen started acting up and going dark. This continued off and on for months before the permanent green line appeared. It's a hardware issue as it is present during boot as well and not something caused by updates.
Service center said this is due to physical impact and will cost 15.5K to replace. My phone never had big impact and always covered with case. Normal day to day wear and tear including putting it inside pocket and mounting it on car. If Samsungs words are correct, the display is very fragile and even if i replace the unit, the chances of getting this problem again are high given it is happening to so many people with normal day to day usage. I wish Samsung address this issue and thank you C4etech for bringing this up 👍🏼

This year I bought s21 fe and its screen was good but was causing migraines just like previous year which I bore through several months before I purchased s21 fe and had same issues due to low PWM frequency. I then upgraded to s22+ and I am noticing similar problems but also at low brightness the screen shows too many artifacts and the gaussian blur puts patches on some menu items when in dark mode plus it also is on the greener side. So many misfortunes with Samsung devices and they also don't provide DC Dimming or high enough PWM Dimming. Such a shame for a company who makes amoled displays for everyone else, they can't tune it right for those who suffer from pwm sensitivity such as myself and many others.

I am using Note 9 for the past 3 years and I had to replace my screen 2 times due to screen discoloration issue. But both the screen replacements where done for free even though my phone was out of warranty. I had to keep my phone in service center for almost 1 month for each replacement and had to constantly follow up with Samsung for getting it approved. Second time, along with the screen they replaced motherboard and battery to ensure that the issue won't happen again. But I believe the issue was caused by software update on both occasions as there was no mishandling or physical damage. The issue occurred out of the blue after the update. So I have now switched off all updates completely.
All the replacements cost Samsung around Rs. 60,000 (17,000+43,000) as given in their service bill.

And to add isult to injury, 2 months back i too faced this issue. My S20+ had 2 green lines on the screen. But I took it to the Samsung service center in Trivandrum. They had the condition that they will approve the free service only after checking for physical and water damages. Thankfully i got my phone fixed free of charge. Gave it on Wednesday(14-9-2022) and got it back on Saturday. Anyone else having the same concerns must visit the Samsung service center nearest to you. This free repair offer is valid only until December 2022.

Why do you guys even go for an update at the first place ?? We all know that mobile companies have been using these updates to slow down our phones and push junk software. With each update, i've seen people crying about loss of battery life as well. So why ?
    For a security patch ?? Really ?
Does that security patch really make a world of difference to common consumers ?
My only advice is If it is'nt broke, dont go and fix it. I've been using my Realme flagship since 2020 without doing a single update and the phone still ace on every segments even the battery life.
So please..just never let Scamsung or any companies push their agenda through you

Thanks, I'm getting so annoyed with everyone claiming to fix the problem. I wish more people would address Samsung so they finally take some responsibility. They have made really bad Oled/Amoled displays since 2020/2021. There are also several lawsuits against them pending in the United States. The only brand, so far, acknowledging the problem is OnePlus in India who stated they will replace the displays for free adding a 3 year warranty on the new display. To all those saying I won't buy Samsung any more, sadly 80-85% of all smartphone brands uses their displays too. Congrats to being banned by a brand nobody want's to be affiliated with! 👍

This is a big problem in YT, with Samsung so important to YT cash flow that they rarely get any backlash when deserved compared to say Apple. If this happened with Apple then there would be hundreds of videos and lawyers stretching in and out of India ready to sue. However, Samsung videos are worth so much to YT creators over the year and this is never going to be broadcast to get Samsung to fix it.
FYI; in the UK we have consumer Law allowing up to 6 years for warranty to extend if it is a manufacture or component flaw and this issue would def be covered. Of course, they will still try and fob you off at first.
NB; this is not Samsung hate, other OEMs do this avoidance to varying degrees.

    Update: #2
Went to service center. After waiting for over an hr. in Q on Saturday noon, i finally talked with the service advisor about the replacement offered by Samsung. First thing the service person asked me is how did you know this information ? 😅 I told through Samsung care helpline. He then told me that this is possible only if there are no cracks or dents or phone or water damage. My phone is in pristine condition, thanks to case + screen guard. Only other issue I had was back was coming off a little due to glue gone weak. They opened the back earlier as well when I went to query about paid replacement a month back.
He finally deposited my phone and asked me to wait 30 mins to check water damage. For some reason they asked me to remove pin or give them PIN. I had to do this but I fear they have unrestricted access to all my data and can be misused. Also they asked me to backup phone data which i already did as they can update software and reset. No idea why these are necessary as well as my phone already has latest version of software installed and why you need to reset phone for screen replacement. Basically after submitting the phone they did nothing inside (I was keeping track of them through my connected Galaxy watch where i can see my phone camera) Then they asked me to leave and told will get updates through mail / call.
After few hrs. i got a sms that part have been ordered. I tracked the repair status on samsung account as well and its showing the same status
    www.samsung.com/in/support/your-service/track-repair
Lets see what happens. I have a feeling that if you do not claim free repair, the service can get the free parts from Samsung and charge you full. I may be wrong but make sure everyone applies for free repair even if your device is having minor cracks or dents.

I bumped into your video when I was checking out fixes for screen flickering. I have noticed many brands out there care less for Indian customers while they make tons in Indian market. Our government should hold brands accountable for the tech they bring to India. LG, Samsung and the likes. I have even noticed IKEA drop quality of their products by outsourcing from China. While they came in they gave us products which were of far superior material quality and today they are liquidating good products with tag "Last chance to Buy" cause they have infiltrated our market with cheap Chinese look a like with cheaper material eg., Veneer replaced by Paper.

6 years ago LG did the same with their flagship phone Through Boot-loop issues. Mine phone died due to hardware issues. Me as a sufferer can feel your pain.

I noticed some random horizontal flickering in my S20+ after the last updates and a green tint as well. Samsung messed up real bad, and it gets even worse with their dismissive attitude to refuse to fix the displays (unless you pay them to).

I agree with you. Cant believe Samsung blacklisted you! More people should bring it to the notice of public

I am using vivo x60 for 1 year 4 months. Last year December i updated my phone on Android 12. But after this year October security update green line came. After one week 2nd green line came. The company is claiming 9500 for display change. They are not ready to acknowledge their mistakes. A lot of vivo x60 and x50 pro users are also facing the same issue and already spoke about it on twitter. But the company turned a deaf ear to our problem. The irony is that some of the users replaced their display free of cost by make the service centre frightened.
    Why this discrimination???????
    #Boycott Vivo 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

My S20 FE had it's screen blackout issues, screen would completely black out, I had checked online and came across people speaking of the flagship S20 series having display issues, then after further digging found a video where the person had a fix and that was massaging the back etc and it worked couple of times so I took it up to the service centre, the screen and battery were replaced for free as it was just 2months old then and so far that issue hasn't repeated itself but I'm worried of what would happen once the warranty is done with.
The backspace doesn't work sometimes but it could be issue of the Samsung keyboard.

I just found out that one of the Chinese repair shops was doing 600+ repairs a month for the S20 flex cable replacement for this issue alone. They charge 100~170RMB (about $13~17) for the repair.
In order to fix this defect at a cheap cost, the shop needs a flex bonding machine which is highly complex.
