    Seems like a very nice aircraft and thank you for this very informative tutorial video. I tried to follow the instructions step by step but quickly ran into a problem where I could not get the ''Ready'' sign for the APU and could not start it and further continue the process. IS ther anything I should have done before hand when trying to start the aircaft??

      In an update after I made my tutorial, it was added that you have to have the left main fuel pump on before APU start, try that.

    Great video! When starting engines there’s no need to turn off any packs unless the APU air is less than 40 psi. When turning the start master on, it turns off the right pack automatically and when starting an engine, the other pack turns off. Saves you some time.
    Also, the engine bleeds on the G550 (while engines are off and on) can always stay on, unlike the GV and older models.

    Nice job on your presentation. It's to the point and paced well. It's nice to take a model up and make sure you are likely to bond with it before you slog through a deep dive of the systems.

    This inspires me to record my Triton Simulation G550 for FSX. Sadly the company no longer exists. Great video.

      Not to get too technical but a proper APU start per AFM is as follows: Emer power on, l/r main batts on, wait until power up test is complete, main batt volts check 22v min, du 1-4 norm, APU fire test, mfd display switching norm, APU air off, nav light on, l main boost on, APU master on, APU rdy light illuminated, APU start press. @100% rpm APU gen on, emer power arm, 90 seconds - APU air on. 😉

    Pretty cool video. But as pilot with 4000 hrs on the 550, a lot of the things are done incorrectly.

    Please note that in the current update (as of me posting this comment), you are required to turn the left main fuel pump on before starting the APU.

    Thank you for your tutorial video.
    Could you mind ask one more startup tutorial again for GLF550 v2.07 with MOUSE CURSOR? 😅

    • @finthepilot4678
      @finthepilot4678  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely. I thought I had the cursor on, but obviously I didn't. New video will be on the way shortly.

      It's a clickspot over the mode control panel. Click the top left screw of the MCP. The Bottom left screw is the TOGA clickspot.

    DIdn't you have to perform a fire test before firing the APU?

    • @finthepilot4678
      @finthepilot4678  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, That's correct. I guess I forgot in the video. New video has updated procedures.

      Make sure you have a main fuel pump on, I usually use the left. Once that’s on, make sure the master switch says on and then wait for the ready light.
