Talia Shire (Adrian) Was originally in the script, but she and Stallone agreed that Rocky would not have the "beast inside him" if Adrian was still there. After in a interview she was asked why she wasn't in it, and she said "I am in it... the whole movie is about ME" - Rocky would be totally happy running the restaurant with here, and would have no reason to fight. They also felt they could not kill her IN the film, because most of us would not make thru the rest of the film.

This movie has the most powerful motivational speech I've heard. And Stallone's delivery is Oscar worthy. Period.

There’s a deleted scene where Pauline was drunk and Rocky followed him to the alleyway from the restaurant and Pauline was crying, saying “why did she go?! It should’ve been me…” literally brought me to tears 😭

People don't take Stallone seriously, but he's a damn good actor.

I think you misinterpreted when Dixon's manager was saying about if he thought Rocky in his prime, they meant it that prime Rocky would kill Dixon.

The most underrated Rocky movie in the series by far. Stallone got in crazy shape too.

This one is honestly the best/most heartfelt of the Rocky movies since the original. The speech he gives to his son has to be one of my favorites in all of cinema.

Paulie's regret is heartbreaking. Such a strong performance. And the deleted scene should have been left in.

In your final comments about Adrian, you feel loss for not being able to properly say goodbye to the character. That is exactly what the movie intended us to feel. You felt that loss through the entire movie. Sad, but very well done.

Also, some fun things about this film: 1)spider Rico, the priest, is actually the first fighter rocky fought in the series.

As an older guy, seeing Rocky looking back on the good times and thinking the best is behind him really hits home. It’s always a great boost to see him shake that off and start looking forward again or at least get ready to live in the moment. I’m at the age where I’ve buried a few of those closest to me, so while Adrian’s death surprised me at first it didn’t hurt as much as it would have if I were younger. There comes a time when you realize that we’re all living on borrowed time and you don’t feel so bad for the dead if they’ve lived a full life. You just feel for those they left behind to carry on without them.

I loved Rocky Balboa, saw it in theaters back in 2006 with my Dad, who passed away in 2015. So this movie always holds a special place in my heart.

It broke my heart when I realized that Adrian had died. She was everything to Rocky. RIP Adrian Balboa ❤

I'm not sure if you noticed but Duke (Rocky's coach this time around) was originally Apollo's coach, but of course he went into Rocky's corner in Rocky IV following Creed's death. It was really nice seeing him still around in this one.

I watched this in theaters, and it was packed. When it got to moments just before the fight, I was so anxious and excited, it was hard to explain. But everyone in the theater was so into the movie and it's just amazing how inspirational Rocky can be, especially in his older age. Everyone reacted to each punch, and chanted ROCKY ROCKY ROCKY whenever the movie did. And just a lot of clapping and cheering. What a great movie. I'm glad you finally got to see it!

There’s so many good quotes in this film, the ‘beast inside me’ scene is so emotional, then the ‘rights’ scene and of course his speech to his son is iconic
