Chad Stahelski is the credited director of John Wick. But his co-director David Leitch was the one who came up with the idea to show a dog being killed onscreen and he directed Deadpool 2. 🤣

Rights wasn't really the issue that prevented more X-men from appearing, since they were all owned by 20th Century Fox. The price of the actors was, since Deadpool was still a relatively low budget production. However, the studio did throw them a little bone with the one glimpse of the X-men through the door, since they were filming Dark Phoenix at the same time. It doesn't really fit the timeline, though, since that was set in the 80s.
Oh, heck, did I say X-men and "fit the timeline" together? Sorry. 😁
Especially the first movie seeing as Fox reaaaally didn’t want to do it, but due to Reynolds championing it and some leaked test footage creating demand, they gave them a small budget. I think they even joked about Deadpool forgetting his guns in the cab because they couldn’t afford another action scene.
I do love time traveling Deadpool cleaning up past movie mistakes.
Don't forget the stock footage of Hugh Jackman in "X-Men Origins".

DP2 budget was 110 mil. production alone and around 200 mil. counting in marketing, which at the time was anything but "low budget", even relatively.
In Deadpool 1, he tells Al that there's 115 kilos of cocaine buried in the apartment right next to the cure for blindness. And in this movie he pulls up the floorboard to reveal, at least 1 kilo (far cry from 115 lol) but if you noticed, it is indeed right next to "the cure for blindness".

In the prison truck transport scene just before Cable shoots Deadpool multiple times while the later attempts to deflect the bullets with his sword, Deadpool says "Give me your best shot One-eyed Willy." which is a Goonies reference - a movie others have already mentioned here had Josh Brolin in it.
Deadpool also wears Chunk's Hawaii shirt after getting on leg day again …

Ryan Reynolds was in a "Green Lantern" movie for DC comics. This is the reference from the first "Deadpool" when he is strapped to the gurney being wheeled into the black market mutant factory where he says "Just don't make the super-suit green. . . or animated!". There is also a trading card of RR as green lantern in the opening credits scene of DP 1.
I am one of the few people that actually -LIKED- Green Lantern.
It could have been better, but it was awesome.
This wouldn’t be the joke I made with Green Lantern in this movie. My joke would have been Ryan reading the script to Deadpool 1 and choosing that instead. That would have been my joke.

You noticed that DP calls Cable "Thanos", but did you notice that he also calls him "One-eyed Willie" at one point, referring to _The Goonies,_ in which a young Josh Brolin plays Sean Astin's older brother "Brand"?

Very few notice that he went back in time and saved Vanessa. He didn't miss his target, so Vanessa was never hit.
Not sure how anyone who saw that scene didn’t understand it, but it’s never a good idea to expect people to have even the bare minimum of intelligence.

@@andre1999o His concept stuff was right for the 90s and he gets things done on time. That second part especially is a really big deal to your boss in that industry.
@@andre1999o I actually looked into this. If I'm not mistaken, it turns out he's a nice guy and is extremely reliable at hitting deadlines. Publishers choose him because they know he's pleasant to work with and hiring him is basically a guarantee that their book will be finished on time or with time to spare, no matter what. Makes sense from that perspective.

Talk about one of the all time face palms! She even shows the scene where she watched DP going back and saving Vanessa but still thinks she is dead after the movie.
In fairness, watching in the theater it wasn’t obvious whether the time travel sequence was “real” or just a joke.

Vanessa is technically a villain. She becomes Copycat in the comics.

Because Vanessa was dumped by Wade after he discovered he had cancer she became a mercenary who has copycat abilities but the movie didn't mention she was a mutant.
I never read Domino's comics, but my understanding is that at least in one iteration of her, her superpower kind of has a dark side. She gets her good luck from the people around her - so they all get bad luck. I could be wrong, but it seemed like an interesting storyline if they did do that.
So the opposite of ladybug in bullet train.
Well, note that the rest of her team died here with exceptionally unlucky deaths. So I think that's pretty standard.

Stan Lee made a cameo in the Deadpool 2 trailer. There's also a painting of him on a building shown when they're parachuting into the city. If you have the opportunity, I recommend watching the extended/unrated version. There are a lot of alternative jokes that are hilarious.

I always thought it was funny when Deadpool calls Cable dark and asks if he is part of the DC Universe, because though it was not part of the DCEU, Josh Brolin did play a DC character called Jonah Hex.
So Domino’s luck power is basically psychicly moving things with her mind unintentionally. _Subconsciously and psionically initiating random telekinetic acts that affect probability in her favor by making improbable (but not impossible) things occur within her line of sight, thus causing her to have "good luck" and her opponents to have "bad luck"._ It’s a weird and cool power

The kid who played Russel was under 18 when this came out, so he wasn't allowed to watch the movie that he was in, but he was contractually obligated to go to certain premiers. He just did the press stuff and left.

Edit: btw, the Deadpool comic character actually knows, as in absolutely certain, that he IS a comic character. And he is completely utterly insane and chaotic. He is so chaotic that even he himself doesn't know what he is going to do in the next few seconds. He also knows about several different "universes" like Marvel, DC, etc. That's why his fourth wall breaks are completely in character for him.
And yes Yukio has technically returned from The Wolverine.

There is another version of this movie called Once upon a Deadpool. It's a toned down version with new scenes replacing some of the more violent scenes in the film. The movie is told in story in the same way as The Princess Bride. Actually Deadpool kidnaps Fred Savage and has him tied up in a bed in a room similar to The Princess Bride. Fred Savage is the actor who played the little boy who's hearing the story in that movie. As Deadpool 2 plays out it goes back and forth to DP telling Fred Savage the story.
As for Deadpool 3. It was already announced and Hugh Jackman is coming back as Wolverine. Also Vanessa is alive again, DP changed time at the end of this movie. the movie is set to be released on September 6, 2024. Blind Al is also returning.

I think one of Deadpool's funniest parts are when he talks to himself in 3rd person and do its own narration

The opening song was performed by Celine Dion. Important fact, Celine Dion's husband had passed and she was crushed. She had become a recluse and was in deep depression. It was to the point she had actually stopped eating. Ryan Reynolds only wanted her to sing the song that he and his friends had written. He wrote her a letter and didn't try to reach her with platitudes or any bullshit. He spoke his heart and told her about losing his dad. They met and he convinced her to sing the song. Celine Dion actually credits him with saving her life.
Alittle context: Ryan Reynolds also played Green Lanturn if you haven't watched it and it almost shelved Ryan from doing this kind of hero stuff. He is more a comedy actor than anything and more lewd. When he got the first Deadpool, that definitely for me made me feel he wouldn't be a favorite person to do the part until they revamped the Deadpool since they finally heard the fans and ever since, Ryan Reynolds fits the part perfectly. He is the character and that is why he kills himself reading the script for Green Lanturn as Deadpool 😂

Cable is complicated but the short answer is he is related to Scott Summers. I think Him and Jean Greys love child and he was infected with a techno organic thing that is slowly turning him into something.
Domino is an assassin type of person, her powers of "Luck" is like her Aura or energy around her forces foe to have bad luck while good luck happens to her. Its like her force is able to draw certain events to happen at this moment when she is doing stuff and at the exact timing. Its seems like Luck but its like a Hex or a Jinx kind of thing. She is a dangerous foe to be around too because of this.

This is easily 1 of my all time favourite action comedys so far. Great story, acting, action scenes and comedy. I also love the X Men series so love how they link these together.

If you notice when he recruits his team. Every person that was posted with a knife dies and Domino was posted with a pin. She was the only one that survived.

There was a Deadpool 2 teaser called No Good Deed, which played before Logan at the theater. Stan Lee is in it. That was basically his Deadpool 2 cameo. You can watch it on Ryan's TH-cam channel.
I think the coolest thing about deadpool is that he KNOWS he isnt real and that he is just a comic book character which is why he can break the 4th wall and knows about pop culture.. He even goes as far to say that most heros powers arent their real power like wolverines power isnt claws and healing.. its the power of popularity which is why he cant stay dead because fans love him and the writers will just write him back in somehow.
He knows about all the different universes whether it be sony or MCU and whats even better is that his next film is in the MCU so hes going to switch universe's.. I CANT WAIT
Domino reminds me of the "Luck Virus" in Red Dwarf.
Also, it's been confirmed by Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman that Hugh will be in the 3rd movie as Wolverine! Can't wait for that!

I watched this movie the year it came out and I still remember the entire movie 😂😂😂 including all the jokes. I have a tendency of memorising movie lines and dialogue.
Stan Lee when domino was flying through the city has a big graffiti art of Stan. Also there is a deadpool 3 coming out. And Hugh Jackman is coming back to play wolverine in the movie.
Stan Lee is inactively in the movie, you see him on a painting on a wall as Domino is landing during the parachute sequence.
So never new about the Cable Russel story until DP 2.but found it interesting.
I think they changed it for this movie. Cable is supposed to be in Days of Future Past storyline.
Also if they had Cable in this movie, technically according to the comics Vanessa is a mutant who is supposed to be a villain mercenary with copycat abilities.
Domino is a established character who is with the mutant ability of luck. Much like another superhero by the name of longshot which predates her character. They are actually some of the hardest characters to write for. Making a believable situation having unbelievable outcomes. Usually in the comics it is very subtle but has a grand effect in the end. I would recommend reading the comics of the X-Men When longshot was running around with the team. Good humor

The leg crossing and uncrossing scene when he met Cable was a Basic Instinct reference. Sharon Stone did it in an interrogation room. Also, Vanessa isn't dead. He went back in time and saved her.
Stan Lee was on a billboard when Domino was parachuting down to the ground.
The IUD/IED gag was the best in the movie and almost everyone misses it.

I would recommend the Super Duper Cut of this! There’s an extended montage of Deadpool trying to unalive himself, alternate dialogue in certain scenes and plenty more that I can’t remember off the top of my head. There’s also the Once Upon a Deadpool Cut that basically rips off The Princess Bride but is more PG-13.

Cable was in a movie called The Goonies. When DP is in his apartment "shirt cocking it" the shirt he is wearing is an easter egg to The Goonies as 1 of the main characters in that movie wore that same shirt.
Venessa isn't dead anymore. DP goes back to the very beginning and saves her.

Or maybe it was because of the high winds that were mentioned earlier and she survived due to her luck powers.
