Had rhe same on mine, mercedes resetted the code and it kept coming back, they had no clue.. during the process i discovered that you can clear the fault by rolling slowly and pressing the p-brake button until the car stops... however! This was only a temporary fix since it kept coming back, rear brake shoes were recently replaced, however they didnt make sure they took evenly! So voila, adjust the tensioner screw on the brakeahoes and problem gone! Amazing that 3 different benz dealers were clueless
i am facing same with my cla 45 amg it came once that was due to parking brake malfunction it went away on its own for next four months it didn't came then when it came back even after scanning erasing fault codes it again came back i think i washed it didn't drive it maybe braking mechanism got little rust when they are wet they just stick and if we apply throttle when all of a sudden sticked brakes comes off it goes away i did same like you said little push downward applying parking brake but its temporary because you open window parking brake deploys automatically it again came should i use wd40 and clean them from outside by spraying i took it to dealer check engine light by ecu says front left abs sensor scanner says back left rpm sensor two faults coming from font and back both left side merc dealer cleaned both abs sensor by sprays it came back then but he didn't ckean parking brake mechanism and calipers then shifted front left one to right and vice versa but again it came back he was clueless im thinking that maybe due to washing and sticking with rust it is sticking whenever brake is applied should i clean them and where is this tensioner bolt situated kindly help me i am so dissappointed because that dealer is a mercedes mechanic owing a workshop from last forty years a well reputed mercedes non dealer workshop even mercedes dealerships take help from him many times took him into assembly plant gave him award many times but still that person didn't solved my problem i went there when he was about to close in three hours they scanned did cleaning but all went in vain he said maybe your tyre hub has a fault my car is just 14000 kms driven still new being a 2017 model many merc owners says it was their main battry fault some say auxiliary battry but scanner didnt show bad battry voltage at all so it must be either tensioner or rust in mechanism that needs cleaning.
I have a 2013 ML350 and the park brake got stuck on it. It required replacement of the left rear actuator. It got stuck while driving it, so it damaged the brake pads as well.
Let the viewers know to check the switch for power and ground and also let them know you can have a good switch and good actuator and STILL have a failure 👍👍👍
Take it to the dealer and request that they do advanced diagnostics on the car. 100% free if your car is under warranty. I had the same problem with my Mom's 2017 GLC300 one night. Took it to the dealer the next day and they cleared the fault free of charge.
I have same issues on my e class 2016 main dealers are saying esp control unit needs replacing quoted me £2500.I’m going to try changing brake light switch see if that works.Anybody have any idea what I should do?Please let me know thank you

It did that to my card I have a 2015 cla 250. Cant figure it out the car will not drive it's like the parking brake are stuck on.

This just happened to my 2017 GLA 250. It ended up being a bad battery so changed it out myself. Problem solved.
Which of the batteries was causing the issue? My 2016 E-class has the same problem
did scanner told that it was battry error was it diagnosed or you simply change it was it main battry or auxillary battry
