The hate will really pile on when you tell a P owner that a LR w boost is faster past 10mph. I have a LR and the reasons I didn't go with a P was due to the loss of range, required larger wheels, the fact that I would never go to the track to need the larger brakes, and the LR was faster with the boost. haha, I remember when I installed brake covers on the Y, just red brake covers...people were pretty pissed for no reason at all lol. I am sure this will be the same. Wait until I put the red brake covers on this too haha

@@Anthonyvo From the videos I've seen posted, yes. The P jumps off the line much faster but it evens out up top. If not from a dig the LR accelerates ahead at higher speeds.
@@Anthonyvo smaller, lighter wheels and a lighter car overall. It’s nothing unusual in other brands either, I used to have a Camaro SS 1LE before my M3P and even though it was the hardcore track-focused Camaro it was slower than the base model V8 Camaro in a straight line since it had more aero, heavier/larger wheels, etc.
I’ll be putting my M3P on 18’s soon which should make it about on par with an LRAB in a straight line and make it an autocross weapon next season 😁
Just put mine on recently and my god they look fantastic. Make the smaller wheels look larger too without sacrificing efficiency. In fact, some people tested these covers and it resulted in better efficiency when compared to the Aeros.

Nice. It's got that Uber Turbine look to them and to me they actually look like rims on the car from your distance shots. I've seen a similar product for the Model Y. It really gives these cars that look like you bought Tesla or aftermarket rims without spending 10 to 20 times the cost for rims.

I've had these for a couple months and love the look. I prefer the aero covers over just the stock rim with a finishing kit. But these are just another level above any other rim or cap I've seen. So happy I got them.

Are these still working well on your Model3? No scratches or damage to the wheel underneath? I’ve heard of some folks complaining about the fit and that the make some noise.

it's actually a bad sign they copied Tesla's clamping system. As you can see the clamps are covered by a thin metal that leaves scratch marks on your wheels, even after removing them once. A much better clamping system is that of Rimetrix, where the clamps are only plastic and virtually impossible to scratch your wheel.
With that said, these look amazing and glad there are now more hubcap options out there. Looking forward to more varieties for those that want a different look than the performance model look. Also there are no official efficiency stats/tests posted on their website so let's not assume or state that these are as good or better than the stock model 3 hubcaps.
Lastly......lol, who would have imagined one day people would go out of there way to buy hubcaps and willing to pay $250+ for them, I know I would now.

haha good points. The metal clamps, although I agree would be more prone to scratching, appear to be exact copies of the Aero wheel covers from Tesla. So although there are better options like a plastic, these should work as well or not as Tesla's design.

Wow looks fantastic to me. I like how the covers completely mask the rims making it an easy low cost swap in the event of curb damage. I was never really sold either on paying big bucks for larger more aesthetic rims, only to have reduced range and ride quality… which is why I always went with standards with the model Y (matte black cover wrap) and model S which come matte black.
It’s a great way to get the best of both worlds

WARNING- update to my earlier comment- the set I ordered and installed came with 4 strips of felt tape. At first i didnt know what it was, and so installed the 4 hubcaps without it. Later that evening i was doing some research, and realized that with the style of these caps covering the edge of the wheel, it also rubs against the rim of the wheel, and can cause damage. They give you the felt tape to try to protect the rim of the wheel, in the event that you go back to the AREO caps, the exposed edge will be all scuffed up. I am sure that even with the felt, dust will get in there and cause damage. I only had mine on one day before taking them off to install the felt tape, and there was clear scuffing. Again, not an issue if you plan on leaving them on and never changing back to the AREO caps, but if you do down the road, you will have scuffed up rims. Also, these attach MUCH firmer then the AREO caps, took a lot of muscle to get them off, and in doing so I broke off one clip on two of the 4 caps. Still should stay on, but was frustrating. You have been warned! Proceed . . . ;-)

@@NyBasim91 It really is a royal pain, you ahve to start on one edge and get a section to go, then work your way around. I had to get a slow leak in a tire fixed a few months ago, and so took it to costco. Of course becuase it is a Tesla, you can actually secretly watch them on your video feed. ;-) so I was watching them, and even the shop/tire guys who like do this day in and day out, were having a hell of a time with it. . .
This is a BIG improvement over OEM wheel covers. They look closer to new model S covers.
I highly doubt you could do a range comparison between OEM and these because differences in wind resistance, temperature, minute driving adjustments, etc could change range by +/- 3 miles. If anyone is concerned about loosing 3 miles, they have other problems.

They are amazing! I got some similar for the Model Y but the big difference is these for Model 3 look so close to the uberturbine and are spectacular! While the ones for the model Y are similar but with big spikes and not sleek like those! Congrats!

If you haven’t gone already, the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive is very beautiful and a great way to see a bunch of wild gators for FREE. Definitely worth checking out. Another one if you’re over near Tampa (up in Dunedin) is a little Greek town called The Sponge Docks also good to visit. ;)

There is 2 other videos on TH-cam that show the difference between these covers, the stock ones, and the rimtrix covers. To save you time I'll let you know the Uberturbine covers are slightly more efficient then the stock covers

Just got mine today. I like how they have "Left and Right" sides for the caps. The letter is stamped on the inside of the cap.

I didn't notice or realize this until I got my order today. On the driver side, the wheel covers will roll aerodynamically toward the wind but the passenger side covers are not. It's a design flaw; you can see this flaw in the video at 2:00-2:35 (driver side) and 2:45-3:50 (passenger side). I will be returning mine.

Not sure of other’s experience, but the customer service with Teskings is poor. After i placed my order, the site generated a delivery date for me. When that day came and i still had not received a shipment confirmation I emailed Teskings as their site states they have 24/7 support.
Not sure what they are doing 24/7 but it took them 6 business days to respond stating my order was now SHIPPING a week after the date i thought that were going to be delivered and the tracking number goes to nothing, its not valid.
Im starting to worry I was scammed. I hope not as the year just started 😂😮

The company promised they would give me a refund after I received them even though i asked for a refund before they shipped them. I got them and asked for a refund and now they ghosted me smh. I have to take them to small claims court 😂🤣

Got mine today and installed them. Looks great and we will definitely keep them on. Only minor negative for us is that the center caps that came with ours were only one set, and were white T logo, which I dont light when everything else on the car is blacked out. So will be looking to order all black ones like you recieved, and go ‘center cap-less” for now. Only other thing which was interesting is our order included one sided tape, where one side was soft felt. I am guessing since there arent any instructions that we were supposed to install those on the wheel trim before installation, to prevent scratching.

Just know that there is no left or right designation. The direction of the turbine look will be going to the rear of the vehicle on the passenger side which will make it look kinda weird.
That is correct. I have heard from people who have ordered recently that say they are now directional, but I have not seen for myself to know for sure.
Just got today and they are now directional. They have a stamp for each cap now that has "L" or "R". That was the first thing I was looking for because I heard many of these style caps are non-directional and have no indication as to what goes left or right sides.

Are these marketed as Uberturbine or Induction? I assume Uberturbine since you said "performance". I'd argue these are more Induction style. They have 10 spoke like the Induction while the Uberturbine have 11 spokes, and they also have a darker finish closer to Induction over the more gunmetal finish the uberturbine have. The center cap area is uberturbine for sure though. Either way, they look good for hubcaps! Definitely a hubcap upgrade. I just learned about the uberturbine and Induction differences today so I can spot the differences from a mile away now, but at a glance, these look great.
They are only 10 spoke because that’s what fits in the gaps of the bare wheels.

The factory tires are ok, but not amazing. I actually had a little slippage the other day accelerating through an on ramp with damp roads
So I am following your direction of hub but the back of mine has L and R and they seem to put the fins curving towards the front opposite of yours which doesn't make sense. Yours makes more sense. Any confirmation?
The newer ones like yours are directional now. Left goes on drivers side, right goes on passenger side
@BeardedTeslaGuy yes but the Left on mine seems put the fin going ) vs ( and the flat face spinning forward vs the ramp. I would think that's not aerodynamic so I switched it. Maybe I am wrong. Tried to.find tons of pics but not definitive yet.

Follow up. I purchased these and cant be more disappointed. They rub against the tire at the intersection of the spokes and where the tire hits the ground so every revolution I hear horrible squeaking when driving slow. So I had to remove them. Perhaps it is the tires I have but my neighbor who has Y also purchased these covers from them and had the same experience. We are both trying to return the product.
That's no good. I do not have this issue at all. Did you apply the foam that goes around the perimeter of the inside of the wheel covers?

I didn't test because it was so small it wouldn't even be meaningful. They claim more efficient, but it would be super low.

I did not get the same wheel covers from Teskings. I got some cheaper looking ones and I ordered mine based on this video. I am so disappointed with these. The clips are not the same as the ones in this video and neither is the metal inside the center cap. The ones I received are completely different.

Good practice to apply some strong adhesive (glue) to the logo caps ..they will fall off after a few car wash if leave it with the factory double sized tape.

@@BeardedTeslaGuy I'm referring to the tesla logo that goes in the middle of the hubcap. Looks like the 3M adhesive (double sized tape) can loose strength after rain/car wash...etc...and the cap can fall off the hub.

Hey BTG! How are these holding up? Finally received my MYLR a week ago and after considering plasti dipping or powder coating the gemini's I ordered a set of these. FYI, per you insights on other videos Tesla played hardball and was in no way willing to let me push delivery into 2023.
These are still doing great and look good. Unfortunately Tesla is not being flexible at all

I tried the Remetrix Orbitals. I lost 1 cap driving through a deep rain puddle. So I replaced it. Well, I just lost 2 more for the same reason !!
If they will not stay on when driving through rain puddles, then I am not replacing these Remitrix Orbitals. I just removed the last 2. I live in South Florida... we get heavy rains frequently!

have not seen or heard anyone have that issue. These things grab tight. I drive this car through the car wash frequently and no issues there either.

So I finally got mine. Love them. I however did not get Tesla emblem option. The caps were just black. I also got these rubber sticker fillers the length of the wheel.. Not sure where they are supposed to go? I can guess but unsure. No instructions. Yes I know how to put wheels on but that sticker I just wasnt entirely sure.
Those foam strips are for the back side of the covers, around the perimeter

These ones have been tested to actually be more efficient than the factory Aeros.

They are all the same so they spin one way on one side and the opposite on the other because they are not directional. I don't notice at all but that's just me

They sent me Carbon Fiber wheel covers and aren’t responding. I didn’t even know that was an option as I ordered the Matte Black. Any suggestions on how to get ahold of them?
