People who dislike this kind of video are the ones stuborn enough to not understand that it doesnt matter how good you are no matter on which level of competition you are you can get caught up in a deep submission attack and I feel this should be taught more so you know what to do, you can even see at the highest of competition how many people has lost because they never practiced this
Also at 4:35, the collar choke escape has got to be one of the smartest counters I have ever seen! How fortunate and grateful I am to learn jiujitsu, an art that never ends and constantly evolves, from innovative and insightful teachers. Wonderful.
Seriously man, i keep saving your videos on my phone to revise before going to the gym and my space is running out, i deleted EVERYTHING and don't have anymore left. Amazing though, never seen anyone give so much value and priceless knowledge. Wish you the best in everything
Agreed brothers, maybe time for something along the lines that Stephan Kesting does. Nice little affordable apps for your phone. Love your work, wish you were local to Ct
I love the straight footlock escape. I have done something similar to escape, but nothing that could translate into a transition to the mount! Talk about turning the tables! Great work as always Eli! Keep on keeping on!
Knight Jiu-Jitsu I want to take up some Jiu Jitsu, but I don't want to spend years of my life studying it. I just want to learn the fundamentals, and be able to defend myself against Jiu Jitsu. But I don't like the fact that Jiu jitsu is so technical & sophisticated in which in a real fight you want to keep things simple.
Jiu-Jitsu is technical and sophisticated, but it isn't complicated. It is just about understanding how people tend to move and react to energy in certain positions. There are elaborate techniques and details sometimes, but at its essence, it is pretty simple. But it does take study and training like any style or art, just like boxing, wrestling or weapons training. A good instructor should be able to express that in their teaching and make the fundamentals easy to access and understand.
Thank you, sensei. I think these moves will raise more chances for my survival skills in a struggle. I'm a white belt and I really like to watch your tutorials because you're very well in teaching Jiu-Jitsu. Please, keep up your good work and come to Brazil. We'd love to watch your seminars. Oss.
Extremely useful for us "white-yz" as I for one have found myself in these situations despite having reasonable defense (I've been told so by folks who know far more than I do, read: brown belts and my coach... lol). Now I can add that "Hail Mary layer" to my game...for emergency purposes. Oss! Thanks again for excellent instruction Knight Jujitsu!
Eli, I train Gracie at a CTC in the UK, just like to say that you are an awesome Jiu Jitsu instructor, one of the best I have seen, just one complaint though... you haven’t opened an academy in Manchester UK where I am from! Seriously though, I know Royce has travelled to the uk in the past... do you ever plan on travelling here and doing seminars in the future...
Oh my wow! that's a thing people do to escape arm bars? I would practice that a few times. but from someone who loves achilles locks, is that escape preventable?
What's the meaning of the blue bar in the Blackbelt? I know what the red one and also white one means but its the first time i see a blue bar in a blackbelt. Just curious. Great video as always! Oss
hi, thank you for this nice stuff, could you show us some "lapel" and other unusual technics where we using our kimono or that's of the oppennent (sorry for my english, oppennent=adversaire ? )
So last winter some guy tried to punk me out and i flicked him with a jab and caught his tooth with my middle knuckle. This caused a split in my knuckle like the one you have on your hand. How the hell did you split your knuckle open?
Mine didn’t happen quite like that. Haha. Mine was just from repetitive impact over time. The tendon split and I had surgery on it and I stupidly didn’t let it heal long enough. So now it’s deformed.
@@KnightJiuJitsu hmm i see yeah my knuckle is a bit deformed. kind of has a grape appearance to it but gets better over time. was just curious about your hand, thanks for responding.
Yes sir. The blue sleeve on my belt is because I am a black belt under Royce Gracie. He and the Valente Brothers made the change to their networks a few years back in contrast to the IBJJF.
Every Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt, BJJ / GJJ, will have a red sleeve unless they are under Royce or the Valente Bros. This is a fairly recent change. And this in NO way represents my feelings toward any other Gracie Family member. I respect all.

You’re #1 Eli. That hitch hiker escape details was great. I never pulled down on the leg before. Really helps with momentum. Thank you.
Thank you so much! Glad I could help
Thank you. Beautiful gym, love that smooth classic tatami look.

I love that escape too! It has saved me many times.
JESUS escape mode great work with a great selection towards giving useful information. Blessed presentation skills with the video quality

I can’t tell you how much that means to me 🙏🙏🙏🙏

you got the best instructional jiu jitsu videos on youtube
Thank you!
Always looking forward to see what you got in your sleeve ...... like it a lot
Fantastic ideas/concepts per usual - I usually cannot finish Hail Mary attempts, but occasionally finish a Wristlock or Anklelock.
Great video ! I often find myself in these situations since I'm the newest one in our group so these tips helped me endure longer during roll.
That footlock escape is gold. Thanks.
Thank you for watching!
This is probably the best channel on Jiu Jitsu.
Thank you so much!

Here like this
Anyone know why his bar on his belt is blue?
Yes sir. The blue sleeve on my belt is because I am a black belt under Royce Gracie. He and the Valente Brothers made the change to their networks a few years back in contrast to the IBJJF.
Knight Jiu-Jitsu Ohhh nice. So renzo gracie professors have red, is there other colors?
Royce uses it, and he learned under Royce. I forget specifically why.
