The episode after the events of Age of Ultron we find out Coulson had commissioned a new Helicarrier (which was then called in by Fury to help the avengers). As cool as I thought it was I think it leaves a lot of plot holes unanswered for people who don't like to watch Agents of Shield (at some points I really don't blame them for not wanting to watch but it usually picks back up before I lose interest).

Spoiler alert: they don't. The season finale of Agents Of SHIELD just ignores the ending of Infinity War. Or ends before the ending. And since season 6 will start AFTER the next Avengers movie if they choose to they can just ignore the entire thing and have it take place after it's all been resolved in Infinity War 2 or whatever the next Avengers movie ends up being called. It's a damn shame. Why even have them say Thanos was attacking the earth if the show planned to do NOTHING with it? I mean every shot in space even showed ZERO evidence of Thanos's invasion. And the last scenes are so jarring, here SHIELD is celebrating when Thanos presumably is still decimating the Avengers right at that very moment. Either that or the show decided to conviently allow it's entire cast to survive despite that being sooo improbable.

Well, Infinity War is still part of the plot of the season.
But let's be honest, why would they kill half of the Agents to bring them back later if the rest of the team has nothing to do with the plot of Avengers 4?
It would be a cool ending of season, but the begining of the sixth would be what?
Everything back to normal because we saw The Avengers?
I think it's more coherent for the show to run before the snap and after Avengers 4.

When I watched the beginning of Age of Ultron, I thought, 'Maybe Thor realized that HYDRA had Loki's scepter. But after that I thought 'Maybe Coulson told Maria Hill about it'. And after watching this foreshadowing clip, I thought 'OMG!! Coulson was the driving force for the Avengers to track down HYDRA and Baron von Strucker's secret base in Sokovia!!!' This spoiled the whole thing when I already have seen the film three times in the theater. Can't wait for Avengers: Age of Ultron on Blu-Ray in a month and a half!!!

This scene alone shows how the shows affect the films. Had the agents not find Loki's scepter, the avengers would have to look for it in the beginning rather than just attack. Also Theta protocol basically saved everyone on the floating rock of sokovia.

Guys for everyone saying this overhypes AOU, do not forget that Ultron's plan threatened to wipe out the earth as we know it, how do you know she didn't see what Thor and Scarlet witch saw, which is the worse case scenario, you guys are just assuming she saw the destruction of Sokovia only, a possible future could be what she saw. Thor cheated, by looking into the future through the sight pool, he changed the future by activating vision.

So they tracked Strucker down this way for quite a while. Cap found a Hydra base and there he did get a lot of information. And after some time he called the Avengers. That was always my theory.

It did change the world. The battle of sokovia + an explosion in sokovia ignited a feud between Iron man and Cap over accords and bucky. The avengers broke up and when thanos came, earth was defenseless and the snap happened. 5 years later, things return to normal but since there are no stones now, anything can happen.

Spring Time Well hey, if you want the full experience, I definitely recommend watching all the marvel movies and agents of shield. theres the 2 thor, hulk, 3 iron man, and 2 captain america movies, and ofc agents of shield. the thing to remember is that every marvel thing is connected.
it's like a big universe called the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), where a thing happens on this side of the world, then a week or whatever later this other thing happens on this side of the world, but Marvel always connects them. So if you want the full experience, watch those movies in order as the MCU wiki page says. Then things will make more sense.

Watch this episode and then directly after watch Age of Ultron. I know most of the MCU shows like Daredevil, Punisher, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Defenders, Cloak & Daggar, Runaways and so forth got cancelled, but Marvel Studios should really consider rebooting them (with the exception of Daredevil since it's already being rebooted for Disney+) and truly make them apart of the MCU so we can get appearances by other characters like Falcon, Winter Soldier, Black Widow, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Iron Heart, Hulk, Daredevil, Punisher etc.
