An excellent interview! I have watched probably all of the Professor Sapolsky interviews, and studied neurobiology; this was a most enjoyable 'down to earth', very pleasant, but also very inquiring discussion. Many thanks.
Sounds like Dr. Sapolsky is saying that rather than having a true panorama of free will, we only react the existential environment and make relatively simple choices that are related to the variables we find ourselves in.
That was incredible! I’ve been feeling the same way. He made all the thoughts in my head make sense and articulated my (what I perceived) to be dumb thoughts so eloquently. Thank you for another great talk.
It was similar experience he gives words to the intuitive feeling. Which as he’s explained that. “In my own words” Being susceptible to his teachings more often than not stems from struggle and trauma. So with that said sense of apology for whatever gave you the feeling.
The scientist we should be listening to….. I’ve noticed a trend about science is that when it says anything in the contrary of what the majority think it’s dismissed. In a world of status - status only matters when the status is in line with the majority. No-fault people of a place and time it is only the current state nothing more or less.

Yup. Everything depends.
I'm a huge fan.

Interesting interview. I believe in God and free will myself, but he's making many good points.
Thank you for watching! I’m glad you found it interesting even if you disagree. The world needs more people with your attitude 😀
