I have hiked the East to West Traverse of Liathach several times but always bypassed those epic alpine pinnacles! Thanks for such a compelling video!

Fantastic video and thank you very much. I climbed the Fasarinen many times when I lived in Torridon but was never so scared as watching this! Not even when I traversed in the middle of a July night - at least the exposure less apparent! (And I had my black Labrador to keep an eye on me from the skirting path below) I liked it that you let it all speak for itself and the music was just right.

Brilliant video. It really showed the detail of the route. I got into the music and thought it was quite appropriate. Whilst technically I guess it never gets really difficult the exposure is something else and i guess once you start you have two choices, keep going or turn back. Thanks for sharing.

There a bypass path below, you can get down to it in several place if it gets tricky. Trouble is if fall off the bypass path you'll land on the roof your car below. It not as bad as it look in the video!!

I’m starting to get into mountain climbing myself now and this one looks pretty scary stuff alongside Aonach Eagach and the Cuillins on Skye

Incredible video. First time I’ve seen something that actually shows the full traverse. And the atmospheric clouds over the pinnacles makes it even more spectacular. How does this compare to other ridge scrambles you’ve done?

Sorry for the late reply, I had no idea there was any comments!! Its probably up there with Aonach Eagach, Glencoe , Cullin Ridge, Isle of Skye... but theres also An Teallach!

Excellent video - what time of year was this?

June... weather in Scotland gets a bad press but I often find Torridon has its own micro climate!

Well done to you chap. I take it, due to the lack of commentry, apart from 'effing hell' 10 minutes in you were too focused on concentrating on the traverse. Hell of a mountain, Liathach. Did it 30 years ago on the way to Skye. We took the bypass path some of the way. Even that had my bottom squeeking in places as you can see the road between your feet !

Watching this and his sniffiling , had my Rectum twitching ....I used to love the mountains, but now in my 60's and bad knees this is the best i can do. I actually think its harder watching than doing!! Is it worth the risks that we take ?
